The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin’
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’.

Lyrics from Times The are a-Changin’, by Bob Dylan

OpenSecrets.org reports that in Obama’s time of “gimme a nickel, brother can you spare a dime,” not a single member of the Congressional Black Caucus has donated to Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.[1] Apparently donations are no indication of where the black vote will go, if you believe this NBC/WSJ poll.

It appears that lack of funds notwithstanding, Obama can count on getting 94 percent of the black vote, while Romney gets none. At least Romney has the street cred of raising the same amount of money from the CBC as Obama has in 2012.

The man who in 2008 set the record for election fundraising, and said in this election cycle would would raise a billion dollars has been reduced to soliciting lotto lunches for $3. If that’s not bad enough, it’s been reported that the Obamas are looking at new residences in Hawaii. The Left is spinning this as “The Obamas are looking for a vacation home.” Sure they are: Their permanent vacation home.

Obama’s fall from favor is unprecedented in political circles. Between union and Green-energy payoffs, and Fast and Furious buzzards circling, perhaps it’s the false cries of racism coupled with the residue of Obama’s rock-star status that has kept the hounds at bay. But as Bob Dylan wrote, “Times, they are a changin’.”

Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.

Lyrics from Times The are a-Changin’, by Bob Dylan

So what black politicos won’t donate to Barack this “go ‘round,” right? Obama still has Hollywood, right? Not so fast.

George Clooney is tapped out, as is Sarah Jessica Parker, so where does the well-dressed, “articulate and clean” black president go for a night out in Tinseltown?

Uh…nowhere.

The list of Hollywood notables who donated to Obama in 2008, but have not bucked up in 2012 is too long to mention. I will mention a few, however to make my point.

Don Cheadle and Matt Damon were upset at Obama a while back, after finding out that Obama is a better actor than they. Cheadle wanted Obama to be more “gangster,” while Damon called him a wimp. Both these guys maxed out to Obama in 2008, then gave money to the DNC, $5400, and $28,500 respectively.

In 2012 however, both men were no shows when the hat was passed. The thought that Obama will be getting paid long after they are relegated to 3AM infomercials could have impacted their decision.

But what I found more interesting are the rich white guilty Liberals who gave nothing but lip service to Obama in 2008. The most recent rant was from John Cusack, who complained that he wanted Obama to stop the wars. Cusack’s donations to Obama? Nada.

And where are the royalties from Mystery Men when you need them? Janeane Garofalo—protector of the lowly Negro—donated nothing to Obama in 2008, and she has matched that donation to her favorite pet project in 2012.

It would appear that the boisterous Joy Behar has better things to do with her loot as well, as she matched Garofalo in her philanthropy to Obama giving exactly nothing in 2008. And if money talks, then Behar’s money is screaming, because she has given Obama zero, zilch, nada in 2012.

Overpaid pontificator Keith Olbermann made a small fortune in “media,” yet donated nothing to the nation’s first recognizably black president in 2008. One would think that since Olbermann can no longer run ad nauseum commercial rants on behalf of Obama every evening in front of dozens of viewers, he might take a chance at Obama’s $3 lotto? It seems that Olbermann is lottoed out. No donations again in 2012.

Fear not, because surely Obama can certainly rely on black clergy. Perhaps not?

Revs. Al Sharpton’s and Jesse Jackson’s gift to Obama is paving the way for America’s Food Stamp President. This was payment enough apparently, as neither “pastor” contributed to Obama’s campaign in 2008 nor 2012. Obama owes them. Yes, even poverty pimping has collapsed under the weight of the Obama economy.

There was a time when despite the evidence, Liberal might convince us that they are winning, the election is in the bag for Obama. We would be made to believe that Obama transcends polls, he even transcends reality. Our empirical data and real-life observations are lies, more lies, and damn lies.

Unfortunately for the Left, Americans no longer operate eyes wide shut. Because times, they are a changin’…back.

well Pamela by Godwins law you have officially lost the argument. Personally I would say you lost when your history teacher didn't teach you where Fascism fit in the political/economic spectrum——lets just say that you have them on the opposite end from where they were in reality. and yes I have a large amount of evidence to back that up.

    • Pamela

"A special feature of Italian fascism was the attempt to eliminate the class struggle from history through nationalism and the corporate state."
      -from ineedchops.com on Benito Mussilini

Describes modern Rethug goals perfectly. I stand by what I wrote.

      • ant

You know what 'nationalism' is, idiot? It's the State running/over-seeing industry, business and production. Sounds like Obama to me. Stand by your ignorance, fool.

  • Scott

Maybe they know something we don't know…Obama Martial Law and there will be now election?

  • theblacksphere

The question isn't who remained. The fact is MANY have dumbed Baby Black Jesus! LOL

    • Pamela

The question is how many pairs of pants did you wear out down on your knees in back rooms at the RNC? LOL

      • Linda

that's just disgusting and wasn't that said about BHO? The Down Low Club

  • Frank

hmmmmmmm…..'feelings' , & serious racial insults. MUST BE AN OBOT!!!

  • ant

What puzzles me is why a man-boy would be so anxious to raise money and spend all his time working for a second-term, yet tell us he didn't get his job done because he 'needed to spend more time with his kids'. Who knew he only wanted a part-time job and here WE were making him be the President and all. It's OUR fault, ya see? Even his daughters are to blame. How much allowance have they contributed.

Besides, the CBC can hardly be faulted for this. Some two years ago, it was discovered they spent much more on parties for themselves than they did on tuition donations for under-privileged youth…even then, most of that tuition money went to friends and relatives. Remember it isn't what you know…it's the skin-color and corruption of who you know.

  • ant

Those guys got rich by their own efforts, so…they didn't build that on their own…they don't deserve that at all. 100% of Spike Lee's money should be handed over fo the glory of Obamazandias. It was the grace of Obamazandias' roads and bridges that prospered these people.

Pamela, why do you hate black people? You immediately attack Kevin Jackson with racial slurs. You have offered nothing of any substance with regard to the article topic. Do you have facts that dispute this article? If so, you haven't listed any.

You simply attacked the author of the article because he is a black man. I mean, isn't that the standard you and the rest of the left have set when invoking racism or hate charges….simply a disagreement? Disagree with Obama, labeled racist or hater. Nevermind finding out why people disagree with Obama, just jump to the conclusion it is racism or hate. Takes a lot of genius to deduce THAT as a reason for disagreement.

    • ant

You need to address Pamela with the proper name, Pamela also goes by Lazzo, Lazarus, human, and a host of others including impersonating other posters here…'cause Pamela thinks it's clever.

    • http://www.theblacksphere.net Kevin Jackson

“Pamela” is a fraud troll. Disregard “its” messages, as he will be blocked again, and back in purgatory.

  • JenB

I call Democrats the party of mixed messages. They contradict themselves so much, it isn't even funny.

For example, it is bad (harmful) to deport children who are here by no fault of their own. But it is ok to abort children that are here by no fault of their own.

Or believing it is none of the government's business what goes on in one's bedroom, but finds it perfectly acceptable to force people to pay for something directly related to what happens in one's bedroom.

I could go on and on, but I will stop out of courtesy, as it will give you a headache.

    • ant

I've also mentioned the long list of their contradictions in the past. That's to be expected…when you lie as much as they do, there's no way to avoid contradictions…it's that 'tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive'.

Just look at the DNC convention now..the Dims have bused in black voters to 'fill the seats'. So, you see, they can bus in black people to create a political illusion for their own benefit, but they just can't seem to bus them out of the path of a hurricane.

      • Linda

        Wow that hit the target!

    • Denise

Excellent comments. Please do continue for they are definitely right on target. I'm a Democrat in total agreement with you,. I can no longer belong to this hypocrisy and will be changing to either Republican or Independent.

      • Thomas Joseph

Hello Denise. I'm a former life long Republican who would encourage your to register "Independent."

      • Linda

Good and none too late. The Progressive Party has no resembence to the Democratic Party of old even if I still disagreed with most of their worldview.

  • Dalyn Krysiak

Pamela, your lack of understanding the basics of this discussion amazes me. You just want to name and blame, share your love of a failing President , insult intelligent conversation, and provoke Republican's or conservatives. Sounds a like you've been reading something by Saul Alinsky….

  • ant

Clean your needle…your record keeps skipping.

  • ant

Yep, that would mostly like be Obama's natural progression..if history is any indicator. Thanks for your help.

  • Denise

I'm a white Democrat voting for Romney. I am so happy that there are so many black intelligent people around, who will also be voting for the Republicans. I'm embarassed to even admit that I'm a Democrat. They are the ones who are Racists and want to divide us. It shouldn't be like that. Wake up Pamela, you have no clue as to what is really going on. I was really impressed with some of the comments that I have read here. Kevin, thank you for keeping us posted.

  • Pamela

Denise, the Big Dog has spoken. Romney and Ryan are wetting themselves right now.

I've certainly never claimed that there are no dumb*ss Democrats, so if you want to vote for a chickensh*t cardboard cut-out, go right ahead.

  • Sam_DiCamillo

As a born and raised (white) Detroiter, and a lifelong Jazz performer, I can say that before the beleagured folks in my home town realize that their own choice of corrupt, crazy Democrats for the last several decades have dealt this former world-class metropolis it's death-knell, before they realize this and act upon it by finally putting sensible, business-savy Republicans into office, before this, our beloved center of American culture, will never recover, and of course this analysis streches all the way to DC.
I stumbled across this site today and wow, what a pleasant suprise.

Great post, Kevin. What's really strange to me is how many of Obama's ads I've been seeing on tv compared to Romney's. It seems like even though he lost the small nickel and dime donations, that he must have still had a few big donors in his back pocket.

Whatever the case, he has certainly lost my support. And I hope to wake as many folks up as possible between now and Nov 6!

He can always rely on Soros, and the Arab Spring!

Exactly…Don't want to speak too soon though but it looks like the tide's beginning to turn! So times are definitely changin!
