Hey you … The One and Only Obeyme the O-hole … Listen up.

According to data compiled by the FBI, there have been 65,376,373 background checks completed for Americans purchasing firearms since February of 2009, the first full month of your reign.  SIXTY FIVE MILLION AND CHANGE.  That’s 44,748 background checks per day!  Ya got that?!  And that’s IN ADDITION TO the millions of firearms owners prior to your ascendancy.

Go ahead … I dare you … try to infringe on their second amendment rights … make their day!

I’ve never wanted a gun. I was raised by two people who border on pacifism and literally hate guns. They don’t want to kill anybody. I think they would honestly prefer to be victims rather than shoot a criminal. However, even I can see the necessity of the 2nd Amendment, and the criminal intent of a federal government who seeks to violate it. I don’t own any guns, don’t know if I ever will, but I’ve been out with my signs at rallies and I will continue. I am informed enough to know that the 2nd Amendment is the one guarding the others. Too many people in this country are ignorant of the Constitution. They don’t know what their rights are, don’t know that they come from God, don’t know that disarming the populace is a necessary step to the total control of tyranny. It’s scary how out of touch my fellow citizens are. I have to fight for my freedom, and for theirs. Idiots.

Thank you so much Jean I don’t think any ‘gun owner’ could have put it more clearly.

I love the Jefferson quote but actually had someone call me out on it when I posted it a week or so ago. Said that last part had been wrongly attributed to him and even used the Monticello.org website to make her point. Sure wish I could find a source to prove he said it.

This is a technique used by those who would want to change the argument by ridiculing you and making you feel foolish. Do not buy into this, and do not back down. Many quotes are somewhat “misquoted” or attributable, as some quotes are just not historically perfectly recorded. Most of the time something like that cannot be disproved, but the left just loves to look for those kinds of hangnails to pick at when they dont like how well a person is making a good point. If you are a target for them, then you are doing something right! keep up the good work,

I haven’t checked the authenticity of the quote, but you bring up the point of attributing, often wise, words of someone that nobody knows to a name that everybody knows. If the quote doesn’t match the man, it shouldn’t be said that it does, regardless of how compelling and persuasive it is. That makes it a lie, and damages the credibility of conservatives. We shouldn’t ever be lying or tweaking quotes just to get our point across. Leave the lying to the liberals.

Maybe the same reason that other countries fear us–our armed citizens–Obama will avoid the weapons fight. We can pray for it, anyway.

Personally, I think Obama has been somewhat “educated” and surprised by the negative responses he has had to his proposed gun control BS. Him and his idiotic following are targeting rifles that “look mean” instead of the actual weapon of choice used by criminals and deranged people, which is a handgun. I think this administration and all those who support gun control are just trying to get their foot in the door in controlling weapons. Trying to set a precedent of Federally abusing the 2nd Amendment. There are States that are already doing this, and cities, that those of us who are informed on this topic are well aware of. The ONLY two ways we have of protecting our Rights are as follows: 1. Exercising our 2nd Amendment Rights for what they were ultimately intended for…..this is my least desirable option. Or 2. GET RID of those politicians and legislators that allow/promote the abuse of the 2nd Amendment. This is my preferred method.

Gun control does nothing but take guns away from law-abiding citizens.
