Bill Cosby joined a growing chorus of President Obama defenders this week who can only see any and all GOP opposition to the Commander in Chief in terms of race.

And did Cosby throw down the race card with alacrity during an interview Monday on, where else, CNN. Outgoing CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien asked Cosby if race relations have improved since Obama became president, and the star of The Cosby Show brought up the recent State of the Union speech.

“To see people sitting down and then they there are others standing and cheering. I don’t think it’s difficult believe. I think that we have people sitting there who are as bad as the people who were against any kind of desegregation.”

Is this the first SOTU speech Cosby ever watched? It’s standard practice for the opposing party’s enthusiasm to be muted during the event. And let’s not forget the ferocious GOP bashing Obama does on a near-daily basis, poisoning the bipartisan well to unheard of levels.

Cosby was just warming up the ill-informed race rhetoric.

“It’s also interesting that this Republican Party is not the Republican Party of 1863, of Abraham Lincoln, abolitionists and slavery, is not good. I think it’s important for us to look at the underlying part of it. What is the value of it? Is it that some people are angry because my people no longer want to work for free?”

    Wrong Mr. Cosby. The democratic party has created a battalion of people believing that it will only strive if government intervenes for them. As though the black race is not intelligent enough to be successful on their own. My grandmother was a beautiful black woman who created a huge business with no help from the government and who made sure they hired single moms so she too could help them succeed in life. You are 100% incorrect on that one.

Lose the crutch of racism, and open your eyes to see that not everything (In fact very little of anything) has to do with race. Just the losers that can’t seem to let go of something that never happened to them a long time ago by nobody that’s alive now. You race card throwers are pathetic. I want equality for all, but that means if there’s a Latino channel, and a BET, and an American Negro College Fund, and Black History Month, you should have no qualms about there being a “White” version of these things. What I usually see, are the ones screaming “Racism” the loudest, like Sharpton and Jackson, need only look in the mirrors to see the closest racist to them.

    You know, I also had to drink out of color only water fountain; and go to the only color rest room, the eatery and all the other stuff that when ad to deal doing that time and even was put on the chain gang when we got lockup for demonstration, Amen!

    Foolish & stupid man! So sad to have someone as influential as Mr. Cosby spout such ignorance. And to think that, even though I am not a Black American, I grew up watching The Cosby Show & loving the common-sense tactics him & Phylicia Rashad used in teaching their kids “life skills.” Not to mention all of the true to life stand up he did that I enjoyed so much. He’s just become another UN-relatable Hollywood has-been left-wing nutjob.

    It appears that the true “color” of Cosby is finally coming to the surface. I have had so much respect for him in recent years for his call to blacks to get off the entitlement rolls and off the streets and become productive citizens. Now he blows it by doing what always happens, he played the race card! Sorry Bill, but it’s gonna take a lot of atta boys to make up for this ah-poop! Dude, you blew it. And isn’t funny that he never said anything about nobama refusing to face the flag with his hand over his heart or refusing to wear a flag pin because it had a negative overtone. GIMME A BREAK!
