Everybody talks about the pink elephant, when we really should be discussing the pink jackass.
While all the other distractions were happening so that Obama could bait the Republicans to impeach him, the State Department closed our embassy in Libya.
Obama will frame this as a lesson learned from Benghazi, when in fact it just proves that Obama (and Hillary Clinton) are as worthless as basement in a mausoleum. Here is what John Kerry had to say as part of the coverup:
I’d like to know what the circumstances were in 2012 in Benghazi that would not have prompted the same precautions?
As one State Department spokesperson Marie Harf put it:
“Due to the ongoing violence resulting from clashes between Libyan militias in the immediate vicinity of the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, we have temporarily relocated all of our personnel out of Libya.”
This very simple move is all it would have taken for Benghazi to have never happened. There is not a person in the Obama administration who would not have been or red alert on 9-11, yet this very simple protective move was not done.
Partners of America took this preemptive step back in 2012, evacuating their embassies or some pulling out of Libya altogether. Why didn’t Obama and Clinton do the same, as Harf reports we did this time around:
“Securing our facilities and ensuring the safety of our personnel are top department priorities, and we did not make this decision lightly…Security has to come first. Regrettably, we had to take this step because the location of our embassy is in very close proximity to intense fighting and ongoing violence between armed Libyan factions.”
I’d still like to know how many people have been jailed, fired, or even reprimanded for the mishandling of Benghazi that led to the deaths of four Americans? Anybody?
But what I do know is how many have been promoted: Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton.
How many people do you know who can get people killed and get promotions, one of who wants to be promoted to Commander in Chief?
The pink elephant in the room died in 2008, and the pink jackass entered…stage Left.
