Hillary vs Barack Round Two

There has been a war between the Obama and the Clintons for some time. So Hillary’s recent criticism of Obama’s foreign policy was more than her “Blame Barack” strategy, but also a bit of comeuppance.

In an interview with the Atlantic Monthly recently, Clinton suggested Obama’s national security approach had not done enough to hasten the rise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria and that he was too cautious about the use of America’s power and influence abroad.

According to this report, Obama is not happy with Hillary Clinton:

The Clintons are shrewd political operatives. They know that Obama has provided back-channel support of another white woman, namely Elizabeth “Fauxchahontas” Warren. Obama is pulling a fast one.

Regarding her public scrutiny of Obama’s foreign policy debacles, though Hillary later apologized, her shot over the bow was to remind Obama that she knows all, and may even know where a bone or two is buried.

“Earlier today, the Secretary called President Obama to make sure he knows that nothing she said was an attempt to attack him, his policies, or his leadership. Secretary Clinton has at every step of the way touted the significant achievements of his Presidency, which she is honored to have been part of as his Secretary of State. While they’ve had honest differences on some issues, including aspects of the wicked challenge Syria presents, she has explained those differences in her book and at many points since then. Some are now choosing to hype those differences but they do not eclipse their broad agreement on most issues,” said a statement from Nick Merrill, a Clinton spokesman.

We are watching a fight for political supremacy. It’s not necessarily about Hillary’s quest for the White House, but who has the long-term political power. We can only hope these two political heavyweights turn on each other and tell us a few secrets about each other.
