Are You Ready To Submit Your Rights?

One argument that the Left has made for years to support their gun control efforts is that the 2nd Amendment applies only to government militias, not to individuals. Although the Supreme Court (surprisingly) ruled otherwise, rest assured that argument is not going away. In fact, the same line of reasoning is now being applied to the 1st Amendment.

Last year Sen. Dick Durban, among others, suggested that the federal government should define who qualified as a “legitimate journalist” and who did not, in order to determine who was eligible for the 1st amendment protection of freedom of the press. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) recently said on a program you’ve probably never heard of because it’s on MSNBC, “Up w/ Steve Kornacki”, that the 1st Amendment applies to religious institutions, but not to individuals. “Certainly the first amendment says that in institutions of faith that there is absolute power to, you know, to observe deeply held religious beliefs. But I don’t think it extends far beyond that.”

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in an interview with CBN’s David Brody that for the purposes of freedom of religion, a distinction must be made between churches and private citizens. “If you’re a religiously affiliated organization then you have wider latitude in terms of the constitution and the protections that the first amendment provides.”

Can you see the pattern here? According to the Left, it seems the 1st and 2nd Amendments, and possibly others, are intended for groups, otherwise known as “the collective”, not for individuals, which of course falls right in line with the Marxist idea that individuals submit to the collective. Once our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights have been stripped away from us, it will be much easier for our masters to then deprive us of our private property rights.

“The theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property.”  Karl Marx, The Communist Manifesto

The Left has, for all practical purposes, rejected God, meaning they acknowledge only the government as a higher power, and therefore they see our rights as being granted by the government. What the government grants then, the government can take away.

As we watch the Democrat Party go through the motions of choosing Hillary Clinton as their standard bearer for the 2016 Presidential election, it is worth noting that Communist Party USA Chairman John Bachtell recently wrote on the People’s World website that working with the Democrat Party was key to advancing the Communist agenda: “At this stage we are about building the broad people’s movement led by labor that utilizes the vehicle of the Democratic Party to advance its agenda.”

Perhaps someone could tell me again why I should ever cast a vote for a Democrat?
