You Gotta Love Obamanomics

Only in the newly formed People’s Republic of America in the Era of Obama can the Left promote such abject insanity.

The latest jobs report is astonishing. Not because the numbers are so bad, as that’s expected. These are worse than expected, even after fudging, where the government can report jobs numbers plus or minus 100,000.

Even with that, Obama was forced to report only 38,000 new jobs. Basically, the economy could have actually LOST 62,000 jobs the way they calculate jobs nowadays.

Whatever the numbers, you know Obama’s number crunchers want to pencil-whip us. So despite the worst reported jobs figures since 2007, the unemployment numbers dropped to 4.7 percent. That’s officially better than most of the white guys.

Talk about grading on Affirmative Action! There is no such thing as bad news for black presidents, when you have spin. Honestly, if this is the way the Left measures Obama, then let’s make Snoop Dogg the next president.

Back to the numbers, because what’s really funny is the excuse used for not hitting the number. It’s because of Verizon.

The U.S. economy created the fewest number of jobs in more than five years in May, hurt by a strike by Verizon (VZ.N) workers and a fall in goods producing employment, pointing to labor market weakness that could make it difficult for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates.

Nonfarm payrolls increased by only 38,000 jobs last month, the smallest gain since September 2010, the Labor Department said on Friday. Employers hired 59,000 fewer workers in March and April. The government said the month-long Verizon strike had depressed employment growth by 34,000 jobs.

This is all bad news, because even without the Verizon strike, payrolls would have increased by a mere 72,000. When you consider that for the economy to work, we must produce at least 125,000 new jobs each month, you start to get the picture.

The report continues,

The goods producing sector, which includes mining and manufacturing, shed 36,000 jobs, the most since February 2010.

Remember all those coal plants Obama wanted to shut down? Success!

Again, in spite of the worst jobs report in quite some time, the jobless rate fell three-tenths of a percentage point to 4.7 percent in May, the lowest since November 2007.

And here’s the footnote: the decrease in the unemployment rate was in part due to a people dropping out of the labor force. The fine print, that we all know so well.

A successful economy for Obama and other Liberals is apparently based on how many people you can discourage from even looking for a job!
