Kanye stunned his concert-goers when he said, “I would have voted for Trump, if I voted!”

What an endorsement, and a dangerous one at that. People who support Trump get beat up, even killed. Trying to convince one “liberal” that Trump “isn’t all that bad” is dangerous enough. But an entire audience full of them?

Is Kanye trying to get a spot on The Donald’s…{ahem}… President-Elect Donald Trump’s team?

At his concert, Kanye went “all in,” as they say in Poker. USA Today reports,

“West went on to tell the audience that he’s “glad Trump inspired racists to reveal themselves,” and that if we can all hold out for another four years, he’s still thinking about running for president in 2020.”

I’m sure Liberals all over America were overjoyed that help is on the way. All they need to do is just hang in there.

Kanye is not new to the Trump train, as the article suggests,

“The declaration validates President-elect Trump, who last year said he knew West was a supporter.

“I’ll never say bad about him, because he loves Trump,” he said, responding to West’s speech at the MTV Video Music Awards hinting at a presidential run. “He goes around saying Trump is my all-time hero. He says it to everybody. So Kanye West, I love him.”

Though Trump admitted he’d change his tune if West followed through with his political plans.

“Now, maybe in a few years I’ll have to run against him, I don’t know, so I’ll take that back.”

Maybe he was inspired by Dave Chapelle who lamented that celebrities aren’t allowed to have opinions. One thing is for sure; Kanye just lived up to one of his quotes,

“I feel like I’m too busy making history to read about it.”

Well here’s a bit of history about Kanye’s declaration that’s not good news. The Mercury News refers to the concert as a “trainwreck”:

“Fans threw their shoes at Kanye West. They booed and jeered. Many walked out. How did West’s Thursday night performance at the SAP Center at San Jose, one that initially held so much promise, turn into such a train wreck that it drew international headlines? Of course, West voicing his support of President-Elect Donald Trump wasn’t likely to go over well in the Clinton-friendly Bay Area, nor was the revelation that he didn’t make it to the polling booth.”

Welcome to the party, Pal!

As I indicated earlier, Kanye will find out soon enough that being on the side of Trump is no picnic. That said, one must applaud Kanye not selling out like many mainstream artists who swim with the tide.

Jay-Z and Beyonce have profiteered on black misery more than anybody, and now invest in it. At least Kanye charts his own path.
