4 Things: President Trump’s New Year’s Resolutions for 2017

With 2017 rapidly approaching, many people are in the process of formulating personal resolutions for the new year. Some want to lose weight, or quit smoking, or learn a new language.

It’s fun to speculate what some of President-elect Trump’s New Year’s Resolutions might be (Hint: Make America Great Again!).

He has made countless promises for his administration, and it’s imperative that we hold him accountable for them. Here are four things that he MUST do upon taking office as the 45th president.

1. Begin Construction on the Wall

Trump build that wallOne of the biggest problems that America currently faces is illegal immigration. There are an estimated 11 million illegal aliens currently living here among us, and well over half of them are originally from Mexico. To stop the influx of illegal aliens (and the related epidemic of drug trafficking), President-elect Trump intends to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border. The first thing that he must do upon taking office is to set the construction process in motion.

Mexico must know that we are serious about protecting our country and securing our borders. As President-elect Trump so often says,

“If we don’t have a border, then we don’t have a country.”

China has a wall, Israel has a wall; even The Vatican has a wall. Ironically Mexico plans to build a wall on its southern border. It’s time for America to follow suit.
