PATHETIC: Media SLIMEBALLS Attack Trump for Donating his Salary to Charity
Desperately grasping for relevance once again, the mainstream media turns a molehill into Mt. Everest.
Candidate Trump said on the campaign trail that he would not take a salary. Does it matter how that end result comes about? It sure does to ABC.
When the mainstream media spins facts so hard to trash our president, they’re likely to derail their own anti-Trump jalopy.
The media begs to be marginalized, as they show desperation with every move Trump makes. How do you negatively spin a man giving away his salary? The fake news media certainly tries.
Thus, the latest fake news media delusion insists that Trump has lied about giving away his salary.
During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump said he would not take a salary. Turns out, the U.S. constitution requires the president to take one. So, President Trump would break the law if he did not receive his salary. However, there’s no law stopping the president from donating that legally mandated salary to charity. So that’s exactly what President Trump will do.
However, there’s no law stopping the president from donating that legally mandated salary to charity. So that’s exactly what President Trump will do.
Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states,
“The President shall, at stated times, receive for his services, a compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that period any other emolument from the United States, or any of them.”
Press Secretary Sean Spicer stated Monday that President Trump will donate his entire $400,000 salary to charity at year end. And, Trump wants the media to decide which charity he should donate it to.
Enter ABC, stage left, with a whopping fake news red alert. Their headline:
“Trump plans to donate salary, despite pledge not to take one.”
If your salary is $400,000 and you keep $0 of it, exactly how does that reality “break Trump’s pledge”?
ABC continued their salacious gossip rather than report actual news:
“Spicer offered no indication Monday that Trump was forgoing payment, despite Trump’s disinterest in receiving compensation which spans back at least 18 months.”
Their “hit piece” only serves to discredit ABC for intellectual dishonesty and a lack of journalistic integrity. There’s nothing here to complain about; no “scandal” worthy of riotous protest.
ABC waited until the last paragraph of their story to clarify why the president must receive his salary – because the law requires it. How dishonest can they be?
Is there really no other news ABC felt compelled to report that day? This is a truly pathetic non-story of the media outlet that cried “liar” about a man who speaks the truth.
