3 CNN Journalists Resign Over Trump-Russia Story

What will the Left do after the Russia story falls apart?

I asked that question on my radio show recently. I wanted my audience to play this lie through to the end.

Leftists know Trump has nothing, zilch, zero, nada to do with Russia. But they are more invested in this lie than they are the lie of Obama’s competence.

The media finds itself now in the cover-up of the many lies told on Russia.

I noted a while back how the players continued to change. First it was Trump, then Manafort, and most recently Kushner. Now, we hear none of those names.

The lie moved from collusion with Russia to obstruction of an investigation where no collusion exists or could possibly be proven. Yes America, the Left is truly this ridiculous.

And the media malpractice continues to catch the Left in its web of lies. The latest caught three journalists at CNN who resigned Monday.

The journalists published a story the network says was improperly vetted, therefore should not have been published.

The claim was made in the story that Trump transition team member Anthony Scaramucci had met with a chief executive from a Russian investment bank a few days before Trump’s inauguration. That meeting never occurred.

But that wasn’t the end of the CNN fake news.

The story stated that Congressional officials were investigating whether Scaramucci spoke to a Russian official at the bank regarding possibly alleviating U.S. sanctions on Russia.

However, later in the week, CNN scrubbed the story from its website.

In place of the story was a note that explained that the story didn’t meet CNN’s journalistic standards. {It’s ok to laugh!}

“On June 22, 2017, CNN.com published a story connecting Anthony Scaramucci with investigations into the Russian Direct Investment Fund. That story did not meet CNN’s editorial standards and has been retracted. Links to the story have been disabled. CNN apologizes to Mr. Scaramucci.”

And why not apologize to President Trump?

Scaramucci isn’t the person under fire here, it’s Donald Trump.

CNN took the added step of firing the three journalists responsible for the fake news.

What went wrong?

According to CNN, the story only cited one source.

The media giant added that the story had not been published with their normal editorial processes.

I’d like to know exactly what that process is. Because the normal editorial processes appear to be to go after President Trump with lies and innuendo, by any means necessary.

CNN on-air anchor Brian Stelter lauded the reputations of the men who resigned.

[Thomas] Frank worked for USA Today and Newsday for three decades, pursuing investigations and covering the Iraq war as an embedded reporter, before coming to work at CNN.

He was part of an ambitious new investigative unit that was created last winter, bringing together existing teams from within the company and new hires like [Eric] Lichtblau.

A veteran of The New York Times who won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 2006, Lichtblau joined CNN just three months ago.

[Lex] Haris, who was named the executive editor of CNN Investigates in January, was previously the executive editor of CNNMoney.

I have two words for Stelter.

Brian Williams.

Scaramucci had accepted their apology on Saturday, tweeting, “CNN did the right thing. Classy move. Apology accepted.”

Despite CNN’s actions, the conduct of these three journalists reminds all of us that the media outlet condones fake news. How many other stories did CNN fabricate?

When CNN and other networks apologize to President Trump, he goes quietly into the night. I suspect the apology won’t be accepted.

I know I don’t accept CNN’s apology. They have set a new low in journalistic integrity, and I’m confident they can go lower.
