Leftists Report GOOD NEWS: Chicago Murders Top 500

500 murders in 2017 and it’s reported as good news.

That’s Leftism for you.

As reported by FOX News,

Weekend gun violence across Chicago pushed the city to 500 homicides in 2017, an infamous milestone that comes as Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced nearly 100 new police officers would be hitting the streets.

Last year, the city reached the grim mark 14 days earlier, during the Labor Day Weekend, according to data from the Chicago Sun-Times.  There has been a nearly 7 percent drop in homicides from this time last year, according to the data.

On this date last year, there had been 534 homicides so far in 2016, a year in which Chicago recorded 762 homicides — an average of two murders per day, the most killings in the city in two decades and more than in New York and Los Angeles combined.

What a novel idea for Rahm Emanuel to add 100 new police officers.

Will blacks in Chicago call him a racist? Will they accuse him of putting “hit men” on the streets to hunt blacks?

Likely not, given that black people themselves do a pretty good job of hunting and bagging other blacks in the city. But the murders have given Chicago a distinction, as Fox noted that Chicago blacks are killed at a faster pace than New York and LA combined. Now there’s a Chamber of Commerce slogan if there ever was one.

Exactly how long has it taken Rahm Emanuel to address the amazing amount of “black death” in his city? Since 2011. And a mere six years later he decides to address the murder problem? I guess it sort of sneaked up on him.

Let’s look at the numbers from 2012, according to HuffPo:

NUMBER OF 2012 MURDERS/NONNEGLIGENT MANSLAUGHTERS
  • Chicago -500.
  • New York City – 419.
  • Detroit – 386.
  • Philadelphia – 331.
  • LA – 299.
  • Baltimore – 218.
  • Houston – 217.

I love how the Huffington Post ran interference for Chicago, saying the murder rate doesn’t tell the whole story.

Several reports were quick to dub the Windy City the nation’s new “Murder Capital,”despite the fact that the FBI makes no such claim with any of its data.

In fact, the bureau even issues a bold-lettered caution against any sweeping generalizations based solely on numbers:

“These rough rankings provide no insight into the numerous variables that mold crime in a particular town, city, county, state, tribal area, or region. Consequently, they lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting communities and their residents. Valid assessments are possible only with careful study and analysis of the range of unique conditions affecting each local law enforcement jurisdiction:

Though 500 homicides is shocking milestone, the FBI total is actually lower than what several local outlets including RedEye and WBEZ reported.

Just so we are clear, if you have more homicides than other cities, you are the murder capitol of the United States.

Here are the murders in Chicago by year:

And as the article earlier FOX News article suggests, the murder rate is slightly lower in 2017. Congrats!

So far the murder rate has risen in Chicago every year Emanuel has been in office. No coincidence that Barack Obama was president during this period. And we can all see how much he cared about his former home-base. In fact, Obama cared as much about “black death” in Chicago as he did about his community organizing. Keep in mind, the murder rate in Chicago showcases all of Obama’s stellar work. So the fact that the murder rate increased dramatically under Emanuel comes as no surprise to this black man.

Ironically, Chicago believes they have a cop problem. In one report, a Chicago panel works to restore trust between cops and citizens.

Really? How about Chicago work to restore trust among citizens. Consider that between Friday evening and Monday morning, 11 people were killed in Chicago — including four in a single shooting.

These were not “death by cop” but death by Chicagoan.

It’s time the politicians stop trying to point the finger at the police, and point the finger of blame at the murderers. Chicago sanctions murder. Emanuel all but said this, when he told criminals not to shoot up the streets, but to “take your stuff to the alley“.
