Pelosi: ‘Voters Don’t Want to Hear us Criticizing the President’

The Democrats have found a “new” new message: stop criticizing President Trump.

I know, right! And just when Robert Mueller was about to announce that Trump wanted to build a Trump Tower in Moscow!

Who was the culprit who wants Democrats to stop criticizing the president? To the surprise of many Leftists, none other than House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi made this surprising comment.

“(The voters) don’t want to hear us criticizing the president,” Pelosi said. “This was a choice; they made a decision.”

“And to criticize the president personally is to disrespect their judgment,” Pelosi said. “So I say to my members, ‘This is about what we’re going to do.’”

Pelosi made her statement while speaking to the editorial board and reporters at the Denver Post . Pelosi discussed the Democrats’ agenda, and focused on the economy.

And what will that focus be?

Despite obstructionist Democrats, President Trump has the economy racing in the right direction. Thus, the only possible strategy for Democrats is theft. The Democrats must steal the spotlight on Trump’s robust economy, and make it theirs.
Good luck with that.
Even the New York Times admitted that the economy is much better under President Trump. CNN reported that President Trump created as many jobs in his first six months, as Obama created in his last six months.

With July’s jobs report, employers have added a total of 1,074,000 jobs during Trump’s first six full months in office.

That essentially matches the 1,084,000 jobs created during President Barack Obama’s last six months in office. Both round to 1.1 million, and the 10,000 difference is well within the margin of error of the Labor Department estimate.

So in other words, Trump in six months has done more than Obama did in 8 years. And CNN dare not compare these presidents’ terms equally, as Obama lost 4 million jobs his first six months. Extrapolate Trump’s performance based on that statistic and you can see why Pelosi, et al now wish to jump on the Trump train.

Pelosi’s comments were made in advance of her attendance at a “progressive women’s event” in Denver.

She ultimately weighed in on a number of issues, including Trump’s performance in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

Pelosi said it’s too early to judge Trump on the response to tropical storm Harvey.

“We haven’t seen it. He’s been gracious, he went to Corpus Christi, which is sort of appropriate for him to do, because in the heart of the storm. It would be a challenge to accommodate a president,” Pelosi said, adding that she is worried about Trump’s proposed cuts to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in his fiscal year 2018 federal budget.

“You can’t do that,” Pelosi said, adding that the issue will be on the table when Congress reconvenes in just a few days.

Then in perhaps her biggest mea culpa in decades, Pelosi again went against the Leftist grain on Antifa.

The recent swath of violence committed by Antifa activists in recent weeks compelled Pelosi to issued a statement condemning the group. In speaking to the Denver Post Pelosi said violent acts should be “prosecuted.”

“I think if there’s some people who are acting in a violent way, that they should be prosecuted,” Pelosi said. “I don’t care who they are, where they are, whatever organization they belong to.”

“You’re talking (about) some individuals,” Pelosi said. “You’re not talking about the far left of the Democratic Party — they’re not even Democrats.”

“A lot of them are socialist or anarchist or whatever,” Pelosi said. “Violence by anybody is to be rejected and dealt with, but that’s not who we are.”

Who are you and what have you done with Nancy Pelosi?

Something is afoot in DC.

I’m certainly not saying that Pelosi and the Democrats now support President Trump. But you can see that something has shifted. Perhaps the Democrats will work with Trump, leaving the dirty work of fighting Trump to the press. Or do the Democrats now see the press as marginalized.

I’m not naive enough to believe the Democrats have had a change of heart. For that, they would need hearts. Moreover, America knows the devious nature of Democrats, thus no lowering of our guards. But understand that we are winning.
