//  America – Step Up for Black Conservative Candidates

Posted on Friday, September 10th, 2010 by Kevin Jackson

If interested in helping these candidates, donate on this site, as we are working with some of them to run TV, radio, and print ads. Our team extends their funding by 500%. Thanks for helping AMERICA!

There is NO more important issue in American politics and the Conservative movement than for the Republican establishment and the public at large to get behind black Conservative candidates.  There were over 32 black Conservative candidates running for Congress—the most since Reconstruction. Talk about a chance to provide a history lesson. From 1865-1876—the period known as Reconstruction—there were over 1500 blacks elected to public office.

Let’s just call 2010 what it is:  The Year of the Black Conservative. It’s time that the Republican establishment understands the importance of what is happening, lest they leave fodder for the Left.  The Left provides a glimpse of their strategy in this NY Time’s article:

But Democrats and other political experts express skepticism about black Republicans’ chances in November. “In 1994 and 2000, there were 24 black G.O.P. nominees,” said Donna Brazile, a Democratic political strategist who ran Al Gore’s presidential campaign and who is black. “And you didn’t see many of them win their elections.”

There was one black Conservative (sort of) winner, and he had to be the loneliest man on Capitol Hill.  For years, the lone ranger of black Conservatives (well, sort of) was JC Watts (R-OK).  Talk about a man without a country.

The Congressional Black (Democrat) Caucus wanted no part of Watts, because even pseudo black Conservatives were not allowed in the Congressional Black Socialist Caucus.  The Republicans offered no real solace, as they did little to provide JC cover.

JC Watts (R-OK)

In 1994 and again in 2000 the Republicans had 24 opportunities to get additional blacks in Congress, and they failed every time. It was only Watts’ notoriety as an Oklahoma football star that encouraged the Republicans to get behind him.  However, since Watts’ exit from politics, there has not been a single black Conservative elected to Congress, not that the Republicans are doing that well with white candidates either.

As Brazille suggests, if the Republicans can’t get a suitable contingent of black Conservatives elected, particularly given their pedigrees, then perhaps the Republicans should be judged harshly on their irresponsibility.

Steele had all the black Conservative candidates to DC a few months back only to report that the RNC was broke. Very few are getting serious Republican support, in a time where Republicans should be yelling, “It’s Reconstruction again up in this biotch!”

Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ and a...

host of other racist Democrat icons should be rolling over in their graves at the prospect of so many black Conservatives getting elected.  However, they are laughing at the incompetence of Republicans to seize the moment. Carpe diem, damnit!

In the Democrats’ zeal to erase their heinous past on race relations, they elected the real token, when they elected Barack “Articulate and Clean” Obama—obviously Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Shirley Chisolm were dirty!

Democrats jumped at the chance to prove how tolerant and non-racial they were, as they voted for “the black dude.”

Credentials  and character be damned, this dude is BLACK…and if we cheat, he can actually WIN! – anon Democrat

It wasn’t enough that Democrats have 42 black Congressmen who proved their point.  No it wasn’t, and here’s the reason why.  The characters who make up the Congressional Black Caucus, black Democrats all—are “the great unwashed” and an embarrassment to white Democrats…you know, the Democrats who actually run shtuff.  Gasp!  The CBC’s handlers know that they need these black intimidators and extortionists from time to time, so they must continue to care for and feed them.

The Republicans on the other hand actually have competent blacks running, people like Star Parker (CA), Bill Randall (NC), Tim Scott (SC) and many others. Many are not running against black Democrat candidates in gerrymandered districts. For those who are, the Era of Obama has put ALL Democrat districts in play.

So, though the quantity of black Conservative candidates running today may appear hopeful, the issue is no longer how many black Conservative candidates run, but how many win!

Here’s the wrap:

It’s time the Republicans re-establish themselves as the party of Civil Rights. This is a time to teach, reminding America of the Republicans history of Civil Rights, and showcase that record.  People should know that in 1870, the first black elected to either chamber of Congress was Senator Hiram Rhodes Revels (R-MS). Shortly thereafter the first black elected to the House was Joseph Rainey (R-SC). The first black governor occurred during Reconstruction, and his name was P. B. S. Pinchback, a Republican from Louisiana.

Move over Geraldine Ferraro and Sarah Palin, the first black nominee for Vice President of the United States was Frederick Douglass who ran under the Equal Rights Party during Reconstruction.

As Reconstruction ended, it was Democrats who implemented Jim Crow laws and other preventative measures that would slow the political and economic progress of blacks for generations.  That Democrat oppression continues today! They do NOT want to see black Conservatives peeing in the punch bowl.

America has the opportunity to really put racism to bed, and provide Liberals with a true history lesson, and use this most unique time in America’s history to set the record straight. I say to America…STEP THE HELL UP!

That’s my rant!

The black Conservative candidates ARE the most conservative. There are a plethora of Republican RINOs, e.g. Mark Kirk (IL), yet he gets firm Republican support. I have made the case for why electing Conservative black candidates is imperative, and I am right on this.

I've admired JC Watts for a long time (he spoke at a church in VA that I used to attend when I lived there). I wish he was still active in politics…

This is so on the spot – again. Just here, in New york, we have a number of Rinos running – who's lifetime record shows them to be solid Demo-kkk-rats. This is what has ruined the Republican Party, and steered it from it's core principles. We're a new generation or Republicans, now – and the Party… like it or not… is on its way back.

Kevin, couldn't agree more. The Republicans must support real conservatives and time and again the most impressive people I see running are also black. I would vote for Allen West for President today! That JC Watts was shunned by the braying jackasses who make up the CBC is no surprise. A man of his character, intelligence and integrity would make them uncomfortable and embarrassed of their lack of the same, just by being in the same room. Perhaps if Mr. Porterfield would remove his liberal koolaid-colored glasses when he looks at history, he may see things a bit more clearly and accurately. Great work as usual, Kevin.

LtCl West is running in a district south of us. I've contributed to his campaign twice and hang on to your hats……received two simple thank you letters that didn't ask for another dime. That has never happened before. His message and background are substantial. Go West, absolutely! Very glad you mentioned him, Kevin – the more exposure, the better.

Abolition started amongst Republicans, not Democrats. In 1860, Democrats supported slavery and Republicans opposed it. Abraham Lincoln, who won the presidential election that year and who you may recall was AGAINST slavery during a little thing we call the Civil War, was a Republican. It was the Democratic (liberal) party that fought AGAINST civil rights and the Republican (consrvative) party that fought FOR civil rights in the '60's. Perhaps you should open a history book and read it before you comment out of ignorance.

Agreed. West is THE MAN!! I'm in North Central Florida and can't vote for the man, dagnab it, but I sure wish I could. I contribute using my FB wall to share any and all articles and videos his people post on his FB page. It's really all I can do for the present. I really hope to be able to vote for him for POTUS one day.

I'm with you on this one. Allen West is the real deal.

Interestingly enough, there is a black woman in Houston, TX, Keisha Roberts, running as a Dem, but under an "impeach Obama, save TX jobs" platform.

One of my personal heroes is Frederick Douglas, one of the first abolitionists (and one of the first women's rights proponents!!!), was a Republican. Later in history, during the Civil Rights movement, it was the Democrat senators who filibustered the Civil Rights Act. This is publicly available information! The KKK senator who just died – Byrd, WV Democrat – voted AGAINST the act, I think!! Somewhere between then and now the history has been rewritten and suddenly conservatives and Republicans are the spawn of Satan and the party against civil rights. It has become so entrenched in popular belief that people like the poster above actually believe it. To me that is plebeian – blind trust in common beliefs without questioning and thinking and doing research for oneself.

I vote on principles: who will do the best for my country, who will uphold our constitution, enforce the rule of law, and change the laws if they are unjust, using the constitution as a yardstick. If that person is male, female, black, white, green, or purple with pink polka dots – that is meaningless in my mind. I don't care what you look like, or what your mating habits are. What will you, my candidate, DO for my country? In that vein I admire Allan West very much, and think he is one of those no nonsense constitutionalists our country desperately needs right now. I am saddened I recently moved out of his district and cannot vote for him in November.

This website, Glenn Beck's special on black conservatives, and going to the 912 rally in D.C. have given me renewed hope that more and more black conservatives will come forward to speak up for conservative values. I have searched them out on YouTube and that is how I found Rev. Wayne Perryman, C.L. Bryant, Deneen Borelli, Apostle Claver, Mason Weaver, Allen West and many others. I was thrilled to listen to every one of them. Some of them spoke fervent prayers at the Washington Monument dedication service before the march. Some of them spoke at last year's 912 rally. They all got thunderous applause from a mostly white Christian audience. I wish I could vote for Allen West! I wish he had run as a state senator. I pray that he is the real deal, and I pray that he wins!

I think Keisha Rogers is a Ron Paulian or Larouchian or something. She believes some strange conspiracy theory about Oilbama being in league with the Brits. I would share a link, but she's removed that page from her site and the bloggers who covered it were very nasty about it. Mind you, I think it's a pretty nutty conspiracy theory, but Oilbama's opened the door for that kind of thing by keeping his past and his personal documents a secret. Besides, as far as Demonrats go, she's at least as good as the rest of them, possibly better than the rest.

Earl, great to see you educating yourself on KJ's blog. So all those posts on our facebook thread finally awakened your mind to explore. Kevin does a great job of knocking back your silly arguments you make about 'the bases flipped' nonsense. If the south was all about racism then why, prior to Obama getting elected, were the only 2 presidents elected as democrat southern state governors? I thought only republicans were in the south voting…and why would the 'non-racist' democrat north elect a southerner who clearly all southerners can only be labeled 'racist' right? Wait, you can only be racist if you are conservative, that's right.

I guess educated men and women who are aligned with conservative values, America's founding on limited government and its focus of 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' are stubborn, uneducated uncle tom's right? Come on man, when are you going to truly open your mind?

Thats what happens when liberals in public schools teach history….sometimes they teach lies. I dont knowy where Earl went to school; (changing the subject) the Democrat party is represented by the stubborn donkey, probably because they wanted to CONTINUE SLAVERY and wanted to seceed from the union as far back as 1820 [to call someone an ass is still an insult] and the Republican party is represented by the ELEPHANT probably because they were the party of abolition; freeing African slaves and their descendents…there were some black republicans in office in the south until the klan violence

Spencer says:

What are you trying to do Kevin? Are you trying to prove that you are not the only white negro in America? House niggers had a good reason for loving the whiteman back then they received better treatment than the field slave but this is a new day, go ahead and walk away from the plantation and see how it feels, you will be surprise how much you'll enjoy freedom.

Bob says:

Kevin, Is there an effort to fund the black Republican candidates as a group by anyone. Can you send me a list of them? I only have a partial list and only know two of them personally.

calpurnia says:
September 24, 2010 at 4:42 pm

Spencer, in reality, the 'house niggers'were the white mans children nieces or nephews. Many of them married out 'common law' with whites when slavery ended.Just because a black person is not a democrat, doesn't mean he's anti-black. (in fact, i believe some white male democrats probably started that modern lie to blacks) so we can and will vote democrat only, since we're the only group to do so..It appears

calpurnia says:
September 24, 2010 at 4:46 pm

The man Hiram Rhodes Revels, has descendents who are white. A radio station Talk Show host by the name of Lee Rodgers is a descendent of Mr. Revels. He even said so on a show he was on. Thats is a reason I know about kids in slavery who were in the masters house and married out
