Joseph Kurt

Conservative Talk Show Host Joseph Kurt was born in Virginia to a military family. Following in his father’s footsteps, he served for 10 years in the United States Navy’s Nuclear Power Program. Toward the end of his service, he completed an internship at NewsRadio 94.3WSC in Charleston, SC. Following a podcasting stint for the Charleston Tea Party, he was given creative control of his very own weekend show. Since August of 2010, The Joseph Kurt Show has been setting fire to Charleston’s airwaves, spreading the liturgy of liberty throughout the Lowcountry. Now, thanks to The Black Sphere, he is able to irritate the Demographic Party in another medium.

The problem, if you wish to call it that, is the same in my industry as in others, and that is the near-saturation of the market makes it hard for anybody to rise without writing a book, hosting a TV show, or having a connection in the radio business. There are very few "just radio" guys and gals anymore.

It would be easy to turn liberal in my business. I listen to some of the syndicated shows and want to scream at how much they could be better, but they clearly know something I don't.

There is no easy way to say this: I am a failure. At the moment. Talk radio today is a little like Standup Comedy in the 1980s. The market is saturated, indistinct, and gimmicky. Remember CNN’s Rick Sanchez? He has a talk [...]

President Obama has not had a better month of black unemployment than George W. Bush. Or, to be more blunt: In terms of employment, President Bush was way better for the black community than President Obama has been.

Why couldn’t someone just wave their magic wand and make the world into the Progressive utopia the Democrats are trying to tell us they’ve created? I mean, if you think about it, whose fault is it that the economy went [...]

Some of my praise might have been party loyalty, and some might have been the honest belief that pretty much anybody would be a better Commander in Chief.

If we treated education like healthcare, shouldn’t every student pay a certain amount of federal and state tax to recoup said investment? Oh, wait, they do.

Jackie Robinson could hit in anyone's lineup today, the Tuskegee Airmen could fly F-22 Raptors today, and the 54th Massachusetts? I would have sent them in on the first wave to Afghanistan. But what about President Obama?

Does anybody really believe Proglodytes (Progressive Troglodytes) would want to defund their crown jewel? Neither do I. Today Alan Grayson (D-FL), a.k.a. the “People’s Progressive”, wrote an op-ed for The Huffington Post describing how he is opposed to any cuts [...]
