I’ve stolen the race card today, because we Conservatives are in serious need of affirmative action.

As a Black Conservative, I’m beginning to feel like my parents and grandparents must have felt back in the 50s and 60s, when Blacks were being oppressed by Democrats and their racist policies. Because today, Democrats are going “Back to the Future” in the oppression of Conservatives.

I learned recently that the University of Colorado doesn’t want to admit a Conservative Fellow, as this article from Gazette.com points out:

“Far left liberals comprise the majority of faculty at our state’s flagship university, the University of Colorado-Boulder. Throughout the country, anyone familiar with the country’s largest universities knows they lean far to the left and CU leans farther than most. This has never been in serious dispute. A short visit to the campus will suffice in making this fact perfectly clear. For decades, conservative students who have dared speak their minds at CU have reported harassment and even violent resistance. Though surveys aren’t needed to reveal the leftist nature of CU-Boulder, surveys have been done. One showed that 94 percent of the faculty were registered Democrats. At the much smaller Denver campus, 98 percent were Democrats. The remaining 4 percent and 2 percent were comprised of Independents, Greens, Republicans and others.”

Admittedly it’s been some time, since I was actually inside of a college, having graduated in 1986. But based on what I understand about America’s colleges and universities, I would fully expect to see signs like “Liberals Only” on the water coolers, bathrooms, and cafeterias in these institutions of “lower learning.”

It appears that liberals have shifted their oppression from Blacks and other minorities, their vitriol now pointed at Conservatives. And they are using the same tactics as their kinsmen the KKK did in the 1950s,

“…For decades, conservative students who have dared speak their minds at CU have reported harassment and even violent resistance.”

Liberals are for all points of view…except those that differ from theirs? Hypocrits. And you don’t have to look too far back in history to understand why Democrats feel this way about Conservatives. After all, Conservative values map perfectly with Black values. Let’s examine the Black family, circa 1950.

Black families of the 1950s were for the most part, whole, nuclear families, with both parents present in the home. Both parents worked, usually at menial jobs, but they managed to pay their bills, and get home to eat with their kids.

There was a focus on education, as back then it was something that was not readily available to Blacks back then, as it is today.

The core of the 1950s Black family was a strong spiritual foundation, which permeated into society as a whole.

Being raised by my grandparents, I was exposed to those 1950s Black sensibilities, when I was given $10 by a friend of mine. My grandmother thought I might have stolen it, so she took me to my friend’s house, and made me tell my story, in front of God and everybody. My friend thankfully admitted giving me the money. I was made to give it back anyway.

A powerful lesson for seven-year old to get, which was, “…you can’t get something for nothing.” A conservative value, and a concept that leaves liberals contemplating their navels.

So what are liberals so afraid of? This was the same question people were asking in the 1950s about Black people, until a decade later Blacks revolted. And we had a little help.

With the help of Republicans, the cause of civil rights was again at the forefront. For those of you who may have forgotten, Republicans had earlier taken up this mantle for Blacks when Republicans FREED THE SLAVES! Sorry to get a little loud there. And when Khrushchev sent Kennedy back home with his tail between his legs, so he would listen to that great Black Republican, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, the cause of civil rights was finally seen as politically expedient by those racist Democrats.

Here’s the wrap:

Frankly I am not surprised by the Liberals’ racist intimidation tactics. From where I sit, it is just the circular pattern of life. This time however they are smart enough to not use water cannons and police dogs. Oh, and their targets are more difficult to spot.

That’s my rant!

Three-Part Series in Hypocrisy titled Obama the Regulator

Part II – The Raw Deal – The Sequel

Apparently with all his intellect, Obama is unable to walk his own path. So instead we find his policy retreads of yet another Democrat, FDR, who gets more credit than he deserves. So we get Raw Deal – The Sequel.

Yes leave it to Obama to take the policies of the 1940s and apply them to the New Millennium. After all, it was Obama who taught us in this financial crisis that we were battling modern day problems with ancient solutions. I guess Obama’s chickens have come home to roost.

But in his typical double-talk, this article in the NY Times explains that,

“Mr. Obama proposes to charge ahead, asserting that extensive government support is needed to preserve and create jobs while building the latticework of a 21st century economy.”

So what is Raw Deal Part Deux? Obama will focus on roads and bridges and revamping old schools. Only in America can anything under 100 years be considered old. What would Rome look like if Liberals ran the joint? Try strip malls with Starbucks and you have an idea.

In explaining Raw Deal – The Sequel, Obama said that,

“A big part of that will be public works spending. “We will create millions of jobs by making the single largest new investment in our national infrastructure since the creation of the federal highway system in the 1950s,” Mr. Obama said. He did not estimate how much he would devote to that purpose, but when he met with the nation’s governors last week, they said the states had $136 billion worth of road, bridge, water and other projects ready to go as soon as money became available. They estimated that each billion dollars spent would create up to 40,000 jobs.”

Remember during the election when Obama promised high paying government jobs? Well let’s consider these great socialists jobs that Obama will be creating. Well the statute of limitations ran out on that promise. because when you do the math, $1B creating 40,000 jobs equates to jobs paying around $25,000 a year. Obama must be planning on illegals having these jobs, because you can make more on welfare, than working for the government for $25K, particularly when you consider “take home” pay and no taxes. Would you dangle from bridge trellises or work in a hot Texas summer paving roads all day for $25K, or roughly $12.50 an hour? My friend’s pet monkey shot me the finger, when I asked him, so I’m guessing you wouldn’t either.

And Obama has no idea on how much money he will devote to these projects, nor does he know when the projects will be ready to go. Because as he put it, they will proceed, “as soon as the money becomes available.” At least now we know when, right?

Any smart investor would invest in this plan, because it is a plan based on hope. And hope can cure anything, including an unfunded, unfounded non-plan of a plan. And at the rate the government is offering bailouts, when exactly will this money become available? I say around…never!

So what are we improving? As for our roads and bridges, a few years back I drove from St. Louis to Lake Tahoe, as I decided I wanted to see America. I must say that I felt our roads were in pretty good shape. I didn’t encounter any spots where the roads turned to mud, like they did when I was a doodlebugger in Australia and trekking through Costa Rica. Nor did I encounter any places where my vehicle had to cross over streams due to the lack of a bridge, like I have done in Peru and Columbia, and other places

In Milan, many of the streets are still cobblestone for God’s sake. And most of the European cities can only dream of having our infrastructure. I covered China for a year, and outside of the major cities, the roads are a nightmare.

Now don’t think that I don’t believe our roads and bridges don’t need maintenance, because they do. But this is already budgeted. So I guess Obama wants them paved with gold or something. No, I know. Obama wants new signs posted along the interstate highway system: “Change We Can Believe In“, with the new presidential seal, and of course his picture. And all schools should be renamed P.S. Obama #XXX.

Here’s my suggestion for showing fiduciary responsibility and for creating jobs president-elect Obama: Establish a small department that cuts spending and eliminates waste
and fraud.

When I sold products and services to the Fed, I got a Harvard…no “real life” education in economics. The government ends their fiscal year in September, so the month of September is feeding frenzy for the Fed. I will explain this more later, but what I can tell you now is that there is no shortage of money anywhere in the Fed, and no incentive to cut budgets. The Fed doesn’t cut budgets, no ifs, ands, or buts!

So here’s the wrap.

In the of the Fed, it is better to invest in failing businesses, and increase budgets on existing programs where no money is needed. But when this plan doesn’t work, be sure you’re wearing brown underwear, because the price tag might make you soil your pants!

That’s my rant!

There are similarities, and thus a valid reason for Congress to consider the investment.

First, like America, they have an African leader. And second their country is facing a financial crisis, as well. Oh, if they only had an auto industry to bail out?

So in case you need an idea of where America is headed with a Democrat-controlled government, Zimbabwe is your answer. And the similarities continue, when you consider their inflation at 231 million percent, which reminds me of …California!

At this inflation rate, why even bother to print money. This is exactly the point made in an article titled “Zimbabwe sacks bankers as crisis deepens.” Below is a excerpt from the article:

“The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has been unable to print money fast enough to keep up with soaring prices, which double every 24 hours, and has tried to stamp out a thriving black market for U.S. dollars and other foreign currencies.

The central bank said it would soon introduce a Z$200 million note (worth $20 on the black market) after launching Z$10 million, Z$50 million and Z$100 million notes on Thursday.”

Next stop…the $gazillion note! Hint Liberals: Just adding 0s, doesn’t make it worth more!

I recall being in Colombia when they were going through amazing inflation, though nowhere near what Zimbabwe was experiencing now. I went to a store to purchase a leather jacket, since they were a bargain. I spotted the item I wanted down an aisle, and the store owner came over and dialed in the “new” price, using rotary dials. The price on items changed daily, I would learn in my time there.

Also, during my visit they gave out phone “tokens”, because the price of phone call was so volatile, it was not fixed. But what was most astounding was women would meet their husbands at their place of employment to get their checks. And this was no orderly line. These women were like American ladies fighting over free tickets to see the Chippendales. And they were fighting to be first. Why? Timing was of the essence.

The currency was so volatile that they needed to cash their checks as quickly as possible. Then they literally ran as fast as they could to stores, and not just grocery store, but clothing stores, furniture stores, gas stations, and so on, to buy everything they could possibly purchase, saving nothing. The only way you saved was if you were able to convert the funds. Convert to what you ask? The greenback, yes that good ole solid US dollar…the buck!

Well today, the buck may stop here, as we have a Congress and president-elect who are determined to undermine America and the dollar. They are continent to “buy” every failing business in sight, in order to preserve their power. Over-inflated auto industry…sold! Near bankrupt states…sold! Prove you can’t survive in the private sector, and the Fed is there to bail it out.

Obama and Congress are showing “Blue state” fiscal responsibility, which means that in this case they are content to go into the red. Liberals believe there is always somebody to bail them out, and up to this point, they have been right. That somebody is the hard-working, accountable, backbone of America Conservatives, who are “clinging to our guns and religions“…and oh yeah, our jobs! After all, we created them.

So what’s another $700B, when you have 15% of the people to tax for it?! Chump change, right fellow chumps! And if Liberals need more money, they simply print more money, which is what is happening at this very time. Conservative Republicans have spent a lifetime making the dollar the strongest, most used currency in all the world, leave it to a Liberal to kill yet another strong American tradition, and send inflation back to the Carter era.

Speaking of ineffective presidents, I was thinking back on what good Democrat presidents have done for America, and quite frankly, my mind went blank. Consider that Democrat presidents were the most staunch racists, the first notable being Andrew Jackson, and then Andrew Johnson. What’s with those Andrews?

The Democrats brought us socialism under Wilson, which was later perfected by FDR. And though FDR is exalted by Democrats, he actually extended The Great Depression by as many as ten years, and has a war to thank for America recovering, and not his Raw Deal.

JFK introduced the theft of an election and womanizing, at least on a scale unknown at the time. He would be joined later by Bill Clinton. More on Clinton in a bit.

For the bungling of a war and usurping of the Civil Rights mantra, I give you LBJ. All this man did was sign the legislation on Civil Rights, and voila he usurped Republican legislation that began back in 1866 (yes the first Civil Rights legislation on the books)…that would be the year after Republicans freed the slaves!

And if it’s complete incompetence you want, it is difficult to beat the peanut farmer from Georgia, yes introducing the smooth stylings of Jimmy Carter, the worst president in American history. He gave us gas lines, the highest inflation of the modern era, the precursor to the current financial crisis, and terrorism. I don’t know how many Habitats for Humanity Jimmy will have to build to squash this legacy?

Thankfully the stars aligned and God blessed us with
The Reagan years, as we would need to best of America before getting The Clinton Years. Yes, Bill Clinton was the first of the empty suits, introducing “style over substance” to the Democrat presidential resume. Clinton introduced “the pimping of America” to China and other countries who were willing to write him a check.

Clinton’s Democrat successor, Little Lord Fauntleroy Obama has embellished pimping on the Democrat resume, except he has selected Muslim countries. Obama further reinforces “style over substance“, and like Woody Wilson and FDR is a socialist par excellent.

Here’s the wrap:

Liberals present a fiscal nightmare. The only way for a Liberal to balance a checkbook is he must have money free-flowing. This is why most of Hollyweird votes Democrat; they have royalties coming in. If these people had to live within a budget, well we would have just put them out of their misery.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, the Liberal triumvirate believes they have royalties as well. But royalties by their definition means hard working Conservative Republicans, or that 15% who pays almost all the taxes. But what I find ironic is that I didn’t vote for our new African president, nevertheless I am getting a taste of his fiscal responsibility, Zimbabwe-style.

That’s my rant!

Obama the Creator says he will create 2.5M new jobs by 2011. I don’t know about you, but I got “all tingly down my leg“, when I heard the news. As The Black Sphere always does, we will enlighten you on Obamaspeak, so you are in the know, and not snowed by what the mainstream media will try to force-feed you.

The first thing to question in this job creation is “Where”? Korea, Thailand, China? Believe me when I tell you that you must think like a lawyer, when listening to ObamaSpeak.
Next, the Obama Web site on Saturday said his plan will “save or create” 2.5 million jobs, which Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs took a slightly more firm stance later Saturday saying that the plan “will save and create” the 2.5 million jobs. So my next questions are how many job will be saved, and how many will be created? There is not a whole lot of proof that one can present for ”saving” jobs, as that is somewhat nebulous in my opinion. For all intents and purposes, any job not lost is saved. What I am saying folks is Obama put in a “back door” in the software code. I bet he will later take credit for saving more than 2.5M jobs, with the support of the media.

One way Obama plans on “saving” jobs is he and his henchmen, Pelosi and Reid plan on hijacking the auto industry. With this takeover they will take claim for saving over a million jobs, with our tax money. The Black Sphere broke the story that the auto industry bailout was simply the Democrat’s ploy to protect the unions. No smart investor would consider bailing out the auto industry. But the Fed will. And we all know how great the government is at running things efficiently…and for profit. Liberals like to reward failure by throwing money at it.

You see, somebody has to take care of “crackhead” Liberal companies. Liberal companies? Those who don’t see innovation as the way to profit, and continue inane policies, with the expectation that it’s ok to lose money on a product, as long as you make it up in volume!

So Pelosi essentially said, [paraphrase] “We will make them dance, before we show them the money!” Sounds like good collateral to me. How about every American getting a Navigator, as part of this plan, as this could be the “mule” Blacks were promised. Next, our 40 acres! I digress…

Regardless of the number of “saved” jobs, which I argue will be zero, zil, nada, I want to focus on the so-called “created” jobs. I contend that they missed an adjective… government. Since Obama has not had an original idea his entire life, he will try to walk in the footsteps of another socialist Democrat, namely FDR.

Now in ‘guvment’ school, they teach that FDR was the savior of America during The Depression. And today Obama is being compared to him by the media? Fitting comparison, as you will learn. You see, those same schools have taught us that Democrats are responsible for the Civil Rights movement…another fallacy. So the idea that they got the FDR story wrong is no surprise. So I will set the record straight.

FDR did not save America, WWII did. And further research has been uncovered that FDR’s policies actually prolonged the depression. Like Emanuel has said about Obama’s plan, they will “take advantage of any calamity”, which is essentially what FDR did to introduce socialism to America, policies that I believe are in danger of bankrupting America.

Meg Sullivan writes in her piece titled “FDR’s policies prolonged Depression by 7 Years“,

“Two UCLA economists say they have figured out why the Great Depression dragged on for almost 15 years, and they blame a suspect previously thought to be beyond reproach: President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

After scrutinizing Roosevelt’s record for four years, Harold L. Cole and Lee E. Ohanian conclude in a new study that New Deal policies signed into law 71 years ago thwarted economic recovery for seven long years.

“Why the Great Depression lasted so long has always been a great mystery, and because we never really knew the reason, we have always worried whether we would have another 10- to 15-year economic slump,” said Ohanian, vice chair of UCLA’s Department of Economics. “We found that a relapse isn’t likely unless lawmakers gum up a recovery with ill-conceived stimulus policies.”"

Reminiscent of the Raw Deal…excuse me, the New Deal policies, Obama said,

“We’ll put people back to work rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges, modernizing schools that are failing our children, and building wind farms and solar panels,”

And, president-elect Obama reminded us that,

“There are no quick or easy fixes to this crisis, which has been many years in the making, and it’s likely to get worse before it gets better.”

Don’t you just love Obama’s “out” clauses? “…and it’s likely to get worse before it gets better.” You can bet that it will, Barry. That is what happens when you put unqualified, power-hungry African dictators in positions of power. Just look at the history of Obama’s continent, Africa, and how countries have done in a regime change.

The wrap. Obama has never created ONE job in his entire life, yet he wants to convince us that all is well, now that he is in charge. When the bulk of your adult life has been spent working for the government, I don’t put a lot of stock in his ability to create anything except hot air. There went my tingly feeling.

That’s my rant!
