Petraeus, Shut Up

Looks like General Petraeus needs to reminded that his predecessor lost his job over running his mouth.  According to the man now managing the war in Afghanistan, burning a Quran is “precisely the same” as using children as suicide bombers.

Well, that’s not exactly what he said.   Petraeus spoke out against a Florida church’s plans to burn copies of the Quran on September 11^th, decrying the plans as identical to the Taliban’s tactics, and as dangerous to our men and women in Afghanistan.  Maybe someone in the Obama administration should tell him that there are already plenty of Afghan Muslims who are willing to kill our troops.  That’s kind of why Petraeus has a job.

Burning the Quran isn’t going to accomplish anything, and will certainly open the church up to threats from those it offends (and protests from liberals who are offended by everything considered non-liberal).  However, it’s not exactly going to make any new enemies, either.  For every bit that this plan is pointless, it’s also harmless. 

The Dove World Outreach Center wouldn’t have achieved the notoriety of the Westboro Baptist Church for an isolated event of Quran burning, and the likelihood that anyone in the hills of Afghanistan would have ever heard of the plans is close to nil—or was, until the Commanding General of the war decided to add his two cents and put the issue on the national radar.

Can Petraeus really be so obtuse that he thinks voicing opposition to the church’s plans would make them change their minds?  Americans already feel like the current administration is more worried with making friends in the Middle East than eliminating our enemies.  This is the kind of fig leaf that reinforces not only that opinion, but also the idea that our war plan should include unconditional surrender rather than unconditional victory.

Our very way of life is offensive to radical Islamists, so unless female infidels are going to start wearing burkas instead of bikinis, this is pretty small potatoes.

As for the notion that burning the Quran lowers the Dove World Outreach Center to the same level as the Taliban, I have a hard time believing Petraeus was able to say this with a straight face.  The Taliban enslaves an entire gender by bombing girls’ schools, and tricks six-year-olds into acting as enemy combatants by saying that their bombs will “shoot flowers” when activated. 

According to the Quran, the Prophet Muhammad had sex with his child bride when she was only nine years old.  Rape victims are regularly stoned to death for infidelity, and not even First Ladies are above receiving death threats for speaking out on the issue.  Should we stop prosecuting child molesters and rapists out of fear of offending Muslim sensibilities?  Somehow I doubt the liberal feminists at NOW are going to speak out about Petraeus’ ridiculous comparison as sexist and insensitive to women’s suffrage. 

Burning a religion’s holy book is not on par with anything about the Taliban.  They are evil incarnate, and Afghanistan should be so lucky as to have leaders whose only crime was religious intolerance.  Such a comparison is utterly ridiculous, and a man of such tremendous authority in the war should know better.

Petraeus is right in saying that burning the Quran is religiously offensive to Muslims—that’s the entire purpose—but other than that, it’s hard to find a legitimate point in his opposition.  One has to wonder why he bothered to bring it up at all, unless he’s just playing sockpuppet for Obama. 

It’s a pretty logical conclusion.  Obama’s already gone all in on the Ground Zero mosque issue, claiming freedom of religion and securing an approval rating among Muslims nearly double of his overall job approval.  The administration was notably silent on Everybody Draw Muhammad Day, which suggests two things. 

Firstly, there’s no real way for a “Constitutional scholar” like Obama (peace be upon him) to shame the public for exercising freedom of speech and doodling some cartoons.  Secondly, Petraeus has been given a long leash regarding copying McChrystal’s outspokenness, so long as he adheres to a probama and Islam-friendly script.

Burning a Quran is, of course, extremely inflammatory and insensitive.  Regardless of one’s feelings about Islam, it’s every bit as unethical as burning a Bible or an American flag.  But it’s not any more sacred than those, and no more a war commander’s business to discuss publicly, either. 

So Petraeus, and any who may follow you, just win the war and shut up.

There was a new kid in town and his name was Tea Party.  He hadn’t been in town long, and had already started making a bit of name for himself. Tea Party was not a trouble-maker, but not one who ran from it either.  He noticed how the system worked and decided to change it…from the grassroots up.

Tea Party quickly found a group of believers. People who had been quiet about activities in the town, but who now felt that enough was enough. Politicians were running roughshod over the people. The people felt powerless, that is until Tea Party arrived.

The new kid had gotten the attention of law enforcement early on. The town sheriff, Sheriff Pelosi wanted it clear that the status quo was in effect.  She had waited her whole life to gain control of the town, and she had a license to steal. No newcomer trouble-maker would stop the gravy train, and change things in her town.

She and the new half-black mayor conspired to bring Tea Party down.  The plan was for the mayor to marginalize Tea Party.  If the mayor could convince people that Tea Party was not who he said he was, then maybe that would make it so.  After all, the mayor was very eloquent…and clean. 

But the mayor’s pretty words went mostly unheard. His lips moved, but he said nothing.  The town had high unemployment and was being overrun by illegal immigrant desperados.  The mayor was spending money like Oprah Winfrey’s diet doctor.  He also was an enigma, as people knew little about him. It was even suspected that the mayor was an arsonist, burning down Christian churches. And he was always in re-election mode! 

The sheriff shifted strategy, and began ridiculing all who followed the new kid, calling them fakes and frauds.  Surely if she said it enough, then the people would begin to believe it. They certainly had in the past, when the status quo went unchallenged. 

To the sheriff’s chagrin, Tea Party continued to grow in stature, gathering more followers. His followers would gather for fellowship, praising things like baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Ford! They paid homage to Old Glory and the Bible, as they spoke of guns and government accountability. To the sheriff, they were considered heretics.

The sheriff was forced to bring in the community organizers Lewis and Cleaver. They were part of a group of thugs who had the ear of the black community.  Surely they could incite the people to turn against the new kid?

The community organizers accused Tea Party of racism. But Tea Party was multi-racial. His background would not allow the seed of racism to find its purchase.

The sheriff wasn’t buying it. Surely Tea Party had ONE racist in his family tree, and she set out to prove it.  So she brought in the school bully—the NAACP. She chartered the bully to challenge Tea Party to a fight at school.

The NAACP didn’t lose fights. His reputation of whooping ass with the race card was verified. This fight with the Tea Party would be no different.  A few feints, a couple of jabs, then the knockout punch.

The two met in the school yard, and the NAACP tried the same old tired moves. Tea Party flurried with a fury the NAACP had never seen, and NAACP found himself supine, and looking into the eyes of Sheriff Pelosi, asking “What happened?!”, as Pelosi lightly slapped his cheeks.

The NAACP did what all pansy, wannabe tough guys do.  He found other weaklings with whom to partner. 

The NAACP cozied up to Media Matters, ThinkProgess, and New Left Media, who were all too willing to add “racism” to their tool kits. The new partnership didn’t add to their gravitas, and have just become a pack of racist, elitist sissies. That’s the way the Left travels—in packs.

This new partnership formed “to monitor the Tea Party movement for racism and extremism!”

So this report says they are seeking videographers and bloggers to employ. I suggest they hire additional Photoshop artists, spin doctors, spitters, and racist sign makers.  These new hires will, “…call on the Tea Party to repudiate extremists among their ranks and join in civil dialogue with all Americans.”

These “spies” will likely be difficult to spot at Tea Parties, as they parade around in their Che t-shirts, and asking questions like, “You can’t really believe America is perfect, can you?”

However, there will be no fairytale or Hollywood ending for the NAACP. Because the NAACP and its new partners don’t have to look far for racism and extremism, and in fact should just check within their ranks.

Pa-Pa and Big Mama lived not far from the freeway that ran through small Texas town. They owned a little two bedroom house that could not pass inspection by today’s standards. There were places in the floor of the house where the layers of lanolin had peeled away and the wood floor had rotted away long before, allowing you to see right down to the dirt just below the crawlspace. According to my older brother, this house was a step up from the previous house that had an actual dirt floor.  This was the first house that my great grandparents owned that had indoor plumbing. All the others had outhouses.

My brother and I had been visiting for about a week, when Pa-Pa summoned us.  In his hand he held what looked like chocolate, and he was breaking off a small piece, as he asked, “Have you boys had a bowel movement, since you been here?”

Not knowing what a bowel movement was and figuring it to be a bad thing, I answered proudly that I had not had a bowel movement. I was not admitting to the “mischief” of a bowel movement, figuring such an admission would negate me getting a piece of that chocolate.

Apparently I answered correctly, because just as I had predicted, Pa-Pa broke me off a very small piece of what I figured must have been expensive chocolate. My brother answered that he had had a bowel movement.  HA HA, no chocolate for him!  What a knucklehead he was!

The next day, I was in the garden with the neighbor kids—a boy slightly older than I, and his sister Cookie, a tall, pretty black girl about four years my senior.  I had a small crush on Cookie, so when she invited me to pick vine-ripened tomatoes with her, I was excited.

There we were, Cookie and me, picking deep red tomatoes right off the vine, as sweet as home-grown watermelons, juice squirting us like little water cannons.  Eating vine-ripened tomatoes with my secret older woman crush, and just being a kid.  That was this little black kids definition of heaven at that time.

Then it happened. All of a sudden, I got an overwhelming urge to use the bathroom. But it was like no other “go to the bathroom” urge I had ever felt.  This urge put the urge in urgency! My sphincter was quivering like the pursed lips of a first kiss.

Panicked, I looked at the back door of my great grandparents’ home.  Though only a short distance away, I calculated that it was still too far.  The neighbor’s houses were all in wide public view from all angles, and the only trees to be found provided inadequate cover. Dang it!

No time to think, as there was only one solution.  Run for the back door!!

Quick for my age, I sprinted towards the back door, kicked open the gate, my salvation mere yards beyond that screen door.  I got a few steps into the yard, only feet from pay dirt, when my sphincter relaxed in utter despair.  Bowel began to slowly move down my legs, like lava oozing from a volcano, and for me, just as hot.

The time for running had ended.  I just stood there, not really knowing what to do.  As luck would have it, my older brother and biggest tormentor stood before me.  It was as if he had been stalking me to see when the chocolate would kick in.  He looked at my face, then my crap-covered legs, and with a demonic laugh exclaimed, “How’d you like that chocolate?!”

My great-grandmother ran me a bath, where I sobbed in my own excrement.  I finally realized what a bowel movement was; moreover Ex-Lax is not candy. If only I had not been a pretender!

Like me, Obama is ruining running this country like an Ex-Lax eating five-year-old, playing in his great grandfather’s garden eating vine-ripened tomatoes with his favorite girl!  You want a lavish vacation to Spain as the rest of the country struggles, no problem!

Meanwhile he keep eating those little chocolates, crapping programs like forced substandard government healthcare on us all. You’re not part of a union, well not for long! Don’t believe in the farces of global climate change, I don’t care, I ate the little chocolates!

Progressive regressive Liberals will be there to put him in a bath of his own excrement, as he sobs at his approval ratings.  But he is not sobbing alone, as I did. Unfortunately America is left to sob with him.

While Americans are complaining about the administration’s plan to control what they can and can’t eat, a record number already depend on the government to provide their food.  According to the latest figures, the number of American households on the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (translation: those receiving food stamps) is up to a record 40.8 million at a cost of over $72 billion a year.

This time last year, that number was 34 million households; and in less than a year the ratio has climbed from 1 in 9 families collecting food stamp benefits to greater than 1 in 8— with an average household of 2.61 people, that means a rise of over 17 million people in one year.  That’s more than the populations of Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, NY combined.

Factor in the 53 million Americans collecting Social Security benefits at a cost of $675 billion last year—running the Social Security program in the red for the first time in 30 years—and the $676 billion spend on Medicare & Medicaid, and nearly half our budget is spent on entitlement programs.

The crisis, however, doesn’t lie in how many are receiving benefits or even in how many qualify.  Rather, the problem is that the coming economic collapse is completely scripted, and the disproportionate effect in the black community is entirely deliberate.

In 2008, the last year for which the statistics are available, black families were shown to be three times more likely than any other race to collect food stamps.  Blacks currently have an unemployment rate that is 160% of that of whites, which hints toward a cause-effect relationship.  However, the unemployment numbers don’t quite explain the high participation in food stamps benefits.

The official number of unemployed persons is 14.6 million, and even if discouraged workers and the underemployed are included, that number rises only to 29 million.  Essentially what I am saying is that 12 million more people are getting funding than are currently unemployed OR underemployed. When you do the math, there appear to be about 106 million Americans getting SNAP funds, and 44 million of them are newbies!

Interesting statistics when you consider the passage of ObamaCare and Financial Reform, while Democrats itch to pass amnesty and Cap & Trade. Certainly these crises are not a coincidence.

Welcome to Saul Alinsky’s America!

Alinsky’s book Rules for Radicals has served as the blueprint for the dirty politics of the left for nearly half a century.  He wrote of the tremendous power to be harnessed in community organization, and how it could be used to bring about the end of capitalism.  His “rules” warn against over relying on ethics and instead guide that “in war the end justifies almost any means”, and “an organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent”.

The Obama administration and the rest of the Democratic Party have taken these rules to heart, and the war they wage is one against any American who stands in the way of our transition to becoming a European socialist state.

The astronomical amount of Americans dependent upon the government to sustain them serves as evidence that Alinsky tactics are working.  Blacks are encouraged to feel that the disproportionate dependency of our people on the government is a form of reparations.  At the same time, whites are told that the government doesn’t care about them, and that it’s more interested in using an affirmative action approach than to actually fixing the problem.  The people are first pitted against one another and then united against the government; then those in power are given free license to rebuild America in whatever image they see fit.

Many on the right have seen the similarities between the tactics suggested in Rules for Radicals and those used by the Obama administration as far back as the election cycle—such as the tendency to whitewash extremist views in neutral terms like “hope” and “change.”

However, proof positive that Alinsky’s model was being used was provided by Organizing for America, Obama’s permanent campaign group, in January of this year.  While recruiting at an Ohio high school, OFA listed Rules for Radicals as one of their “suggested readings.”

Alinsky’s tactics have already been given a test drive when the Cloward-Piven Strategy was used in New York in the 1960s.  Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven expanded upon Alinsky’s rules and provided an actual strategy for community organizers: overwhelming the welfare system.  They used race riots and other crises to spur populist feelings of entitlement, and in less than a decade they more than doubled the amount of single-parent households on welfare from 4.3 million to 10.8 million.

Obama has everything possible at his disposal for this plan to work on a national scale.  He’s admittedly spent his life working as a community organizer to help corrupt groups like SEIU and ACORN.  The mainstream media is dedicated to him like a battered wife, continuing to worship him and sing praises of his policies while their ratings nose-dive as a result.

Militant minority groups like La Raza and the NBPP threaten violence as retaliation for perceived injustices—and just as Alinsky predicted, the cowards and panderers in DC are eager to throw more entitlements at them to keep the peace.

There’s just one problem:  The Right sees it coming.  Americans see how the entitlement-based government model turned out for Europe and Americans don’t want it.  The Alinsky plan depends on keeping Americans angry and ignorant, and all the Democrats are getting in return is a double serving of the former.  Voter turnout this year is expected to be dominated by those who want a return to the free-market based small government that Rules for Radicals was supposed to help destroy.

The left better enjoy the statistics on government dependency while they can.  Because when we take America back this November and begin to revive the economy, the politicians who used Alinsky tactics against us will find themselves being force-fed a generous slice of humble pie.

Just when you thought racism was just political, Omar Thornton goes on a killing spree at his former job, saying that he had been “racially harassed,” making racism a reality.  Only in reality, it was Omar who was the proven racist.

Thornton’s harassment? He was fired for stealing from his union job!

In the real world, when a person steals from the job, they get fired, and potentially go to jail. But when you are in a union and part of the post-racial world of Obama, you get some Crackers with your whine.

Before “taking matters into his own hands,” as Thornton said in his statement, do you think that he might have reported these so-called racial issues, filing grievances with the union?  Pulling the race card with unions still gets blacks promoted, right?

But Thornton didn’t file any complaints with the union. So we will never know what harassment actually occurred, if any. My bet is Thornton considered the white worker who reported that Thornton was stealing as being racist!

Is anybody asking if Thornton followed the advice of the New Black Panther Party’s advice to kill Crackers?  Perhaps Thornton was bucking for the New Black Panther Party’s Image Award.

I doubt that Attorney General Eric Holder will follow the bread crumbs on this one and indict the NBPP for hate speech. Nor will he make them complicit for this obvious hate crime.  I bet Holder won’t even consider this a hate crime. No reason to stir that pot.  Since Thornton took his own life, he can sweep this one under the bus.

As crazy as this sounds, many in the Liberal black community justify Thornton’s behavior.

“I can relate.  It’s like that time when my supervisor axed me to show up to work on time, and I threatened to kill him. My union steward called me in and axed me not to say that no more, then we laughed at my Cracker supervisor!”

Like Obama in the Professor Gates, these blacks don’t need to hear the whole story. They will claim “institutional racism!” Ironically, institutional racism was institutionalized by Democrats!  Payback for the Democrat policy of institutional racism is for rules not to apply to blacks. You keeping up?!

I’m actually surprise His O-ness hasn’t weighed in on this, indicting the whites who “created this mess.” I can hear his press conference now:

“Omar Thornton’s bright light has been extinguished at the hands of those who prevented him from thriving at his workplace. A man simply trying to get what was coming to him…a man who embraced hope and change!”

With Obama’s hope and change strategy, you should start to look at crazy ideas like racism being covered under our insurance plans.  It will be sneaked in with HR Benefits plans that explain, “If you believe you are being racially harassed, you may qualify for counseling…if you’re black.”

After counseling you can then file for Workmen’s Compensation, and there you go, “40 acres and a Mule.”

Over the past few decades, many Democrat blacks have been taught to hate whites.  It is practically impossible for black Democrats NOT to make something racial. Black Democrats like the idea of keeping whites off kilter, because that’s they have learned that’s how you get handouts! Act out and expect a reward.

The tragedy is that in a country with the opportunity that America offers without prejudice, Thornton decided to steal his. I grieve for those families who must now confront the real specter of racism, where a black man kills white people for not allowing him to steal from his job. These folks will likely battle within themselves to not dislike blacks, simply because ONE black man decided to pull the race card in the ultimate way.

This new form of “terrorism by race card” may have found a new level, and you can expect Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and that ilk to be meeting to figure out how to capitalize on this. They will propose programs to prevent blacks from going postal, when they are fired for stealing, or other forms of what was formerly known as insubordination.

I suspect the new Jackson-Sharpton solution will be as simple as, “Just let black folks steal on the job, this sh*t won’t happen!”

Where is the NAACP in expressing outrage to such an event, obviously motivated by race? Why won’t black organizations speak out about this and other obvious hate crimes? They are too busy creating fake racism claims, I suspect.

Whether it’s New Black Panthers intimidating threatening whites or Omar Thornton taking their advice and actually killing whites, it is Liberal, Progressive, Democrat racists who are responsible for this shooting.

When will black folks figure out that the Obamas are frauds, living the American dream, a dream for them built on the false premise of racism in America?  The Obamas must truly know that they have black Democrats in check, when you consider the amount of money Michelle is spending in Spain, and the state of the black condition in America. Or maybe black Democrats are cool with it all, because they aren’t footing the bill—that will be left to “working Americans!”

While America eats cake, Michelle gallivants through Spain with Sasha,one of her daughters, as if they are African royalty—by way of Hawaii, of course.

But don’t expect any outcry from the black Democrat community. Obama will continue to poll high amongst “silly Negros,” most giving him a pass, saying things like, “Bush took vacations, too!”

Bush did vacation. But he didn’t do it during financial freefall!  I suspect that had Obama been president when the World Trade Center was bombed, he would likely have planned a vacation! No, even Bush would not have been THAT stupid!

As for the jaunt to Spain by Michelle, Michelle’s staunchest supporters—black Democrats—do get to live vicariously through her and Sasha, and that’s all they care about.

“Ooo Girl, look at where Michelle and Sasha get to stay, and look at where they goin’ shoppin’ Girl! I just LOVE our ‘All things BLACK’ First Lady!”

Nobody seems to be questioning the TIMING of this trip?  During her husband’s 49^th birthday? Is there trouble in Black Camelot?  Barack spends his birthday with Oprah?! It’s not like they didn’t know the day was coming.  I say there is trouble in paradise, and somebody should check out that story!

When you consider that MSNBC’s OlberGeek and Chrissy Matthews are beginning to say not so nice things about His Light-Tanness, then you know there is blood in the water. Despite appearances, I suggest the economy isn’t the only duty Barack is mishandling! I’m just sayin’!

Spain remains an ironic choice too. After all, the State Department had Spain listed as a racist country, because two black Americans were detained a year or so ago.  Apparently detaining blacks makes a country racist in the Obama administration.  My curiosity is where they found two blacks living under Obama who could afford to go to Spain!

No harm, no foul.  Spain is now a former racist country!  The State Department lifted that racist designation just in time for Michelle to practice that Spanish her husband recommended all Americans learn.  Barack is a visionary.

I’m just happy that the racism issue was resolved, so our chief export won’t be race-baiting.  I’m sure that now that Spain has been cleared of racism, Michelle’s diplomatic mission (*wink*) is to implement a new diversity program for Spain.

To do so Michelle is joined by 33 members of the NAACP and the New Black Panthers, as a show of solidarity for Spain, and flanked by an all-white detachment of the Secret Service. Black Power:  Under white supervision.

Can you imagine the outcry had Laura Bush or [insert white First Lady here] tried anything remotely close to this? There would have been riots in black neighborhoods all over the country. The media would have been furious.

“How could she?!  The NERVE!  In this day of financial turmoil in America, the racist Republican First Lady vacations in Cleveland…at her mother’s funeral!”

If nothing else, it’s in poor taste for the Obamas to spend taxpayer money so blatantly, and for what?  The White House said this was a “personal” trip, so the $500-2500 hotel rooms were paid out of the Obamas personal money. What about the 70 plus Secret Service, and Air Force One? Or did they fly commercial? Socialist please!

A black man who after the Democrat convention in 2000 had to borrow money for cab fare back home now sends his wife and child on vacation in Spain.

How’s that for pursuit of that racist American dream!

The thing that impressed me about the watch was it had the “weight” of a real Tag.  It didn’t feel like the lightweight replicas I had seen in Mexico, China, and Africa. And the best part?  My fake Tag cost me $7!

My fake Tag was made of a high gloss “white gold” electroplate—ok stainless steel—with a sea blue oyster shell face, and it had a curved bezel. The contrast between the high-gloss steel and the blue face made my fake Tag extremely eye-catching; the contrast gave it a regal appearance.

My fake Tag had all the Tag markings on the back. I wore the watch everywhere and received numerous compliments, and I was so confident about my fake Tag, that occasionally I would allow questioners to inspect it first-hand.  I was proud of my fake Tag.

Many times I wondered how could anybody manufacture even a fake Tag, then sell them for retail on the streets for $7?! This meant manufacturing costs were less than $1. It was a working watch, for goodness sake. It didn’t keep atomic time, but I never lost more than five minutes a day.

Timekeeping notwithstanding, people would see my fake Tag, and say things like, “I didn’t know Tag made anything except diving watches.  That is an exquisite Tag! Where did you get it?”

“Oh this old thing,” I would deflect to keep from lying outright!

“Diving,” I thought!  I didn’t dare get my fake Tag near anything moist, for that would mean certain death of my fake Tag. In rainstorms, I took off my fake Tag, placing it in the driest thing available.  If I were in a high humidity climate, I kept fake Tag with a demoisturizer packet.

I treated fake tag better than I did my real Tag, which was a Tag for diving.

Though one day a few months later life began as normal, it would not be.  I performed my normal ritual of getting ready, but as I reach for fake Tag, I found my fake Tag lifeless!

“Not for long,” I said aloud.

So, I rerouted a few errands that day so I could visit one of those watch repair kiosk at the mall, so that I could have them breathe life back into fake Tag. I had gotten accustomed to the look of fake Tag on my wrist. Without it, I felt naked.

I approached fake Tag’s potential life-giver with mixed emotions.  Would fake Tag be good enough to fool a person I would deem an expert?  Would the sales clerk unknowingly compliment me as others had on my fake Tag? Or would he “out” me as a pretentious sellout for having purchased what I knew was not the real thing?

I laid fake Tag on the countertop, and the young salesperson said, “Wow, nice Tag! You’re gonna want our best battery for this!”

I said, “Well how much is the best battery?”

The salesman said, “$24. But you wouldn’t want to skimp on a Tag, or you could ruin the inner workings!”

Now I had a dilemma.

“Just out of curiosity, how much is the non-Tag battery for a Tag,” I inquired?

The salesperson said, “$3. But again, you could ruin a Tag if you…because Chinese batteries are…blah blah blah.”

I didn’t even hear the rest of his education on fine watches and cheap batteries.  Circling through my mind was the fact that I had a $7 watch that I wanted people to believe was a $2500 watch, and putting a battery in it that was costing me more three times more than the cost of fake watch!

Here’s the wrap:

Liberal America in electing Obama bought a fake Tag. And the batteries have run down in less than a year. Obama may still look good, but he’s running through batteries, like Tiger does mistresses, except Obama’s batteries are his radical agenda.

The Liberals feel trapped, because they simply can’t admit that they have bought fake Tags, and maintenance of their fake cost more than the fake himself!

As for that battery salesman. I suspect he knew my Tag was a fake.  Why not take advantage of somebody who wanted a poser? I was ripe for the picking.

The moral to the story:  Don’t settle for the fake, as it will cost you a lot more in the end!

Bleeding Blue – The Obama Gambit

After using Republican obstructionism as his excuse for eighteen previous recess appointments, Obama has had a change of heart.  Dr. Donald Berwick, appointee to head the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services will face the Senate for confirmation hearings.

The change of heart isn’t a result of newfound cooperation on behalf of the Republicans, as they have looked forward to exposing  Berwick, holding his statements on healthcare rationing and wealth redistribution up to public scrutiny. 

For Obama, the political risk associated with a recess appointment isn’t negated by saying, “Just kidding!” and sending the appointee through the appropriate channels.  So many are left wondering what Obama’s motivation could be in forcing the Senate Democrats into a tough vote so close to a mid-term election where Republicans are already expecting massive gains.

Passing the buck on Berwick’s confirmation suggests two things: (1) Someone in Obama’s administration recognizes that he is 0-5 on candidate endorsements, and (2) Obama’s given up on the hope that he can save his party. 

Obama no longer appears eager to proclaim that, “The difference between 2010 and 1994 is me.”   Perhaps we are no longer the one’s we have been waiting for?

A repeat of 1994 not in question.  In Clinton’s first mid-term election, Congressional Democrats saw a 54-seat loss, which looks like the bare minimum to be expected this November.  Some election models are predicting as many as 51 to 90 seats turning red.  As far-fetched as such gains might sound, it’s not entirely unlikely. 

Today’s Democrats have to answer for unemployment that is nearly double the 5.3% seen in 1994, and for their votes in passing both ObamaCare and the Wall Street Reform bills. 

Add to that an energized Tea Party that is 20% more likely than the average American to vote in November, and it’s clear why even Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says it is “obvious” that Democrats are likely to lose control of Congress. 

The Senate isn’t going to turn red, since Democrats only have 16 of their 58 seats up for re-election this year.  However with a Republican House, that’s 16 more than they can afford to lose. 

When seen in this context, Obama’s motivation in risking the Democratic Senate seats that are up for re-election becomes clearer.  He’s gone from the first stage of grief, denial—and he has moved to stage five, acceptance.

After all, Obama doesn’t really need Democrats to control both houses so long as he controls the White House.  He’s already achieved what the equally-charismatic Clinton couldn’t in passing ObamaCare, and was able to keep from breaking at least one of his campaign promises.  Obama hasn’t, however, put an end to the Patriot Act, closed Gitmo, or ended the War on Terror—well, technically he did end the war, as America is now fighting in “Overseas Contingency Operations”. 

None of these broken promises have gone over well with his base, but without Democratic control of Congress, he could easily continue his “party of no” meme and blame Republicans—only this time, it would be a plausible excuse. 

Clinton’s approval rating went up sharply after the Democrats lost Congress, and never dropped back down to pre-1994 election levels.  Therein lies the greatest potential benefit to Obama of handing a blank check on Congressional and Senate seats over to the GOP:  A repeat of 1994 could mean a repeat of 1996.

If Obama still plans to govern for “8-10 years” he has to remain a figurehead and distance himself from the decision-making that is expected of a president whose party monopolizes control.  Throwing Democratic Senators under the bus is a small price to pay for a second term.  Considering how long the ObamaCare debates and votes dragged out when he had a supermajority in Congress and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, there’s no reason to think that he would be much worse off after a repeat of 1994.  Even if his agenda did lose additional momentum under two-party leadership, the inevitability of Republican gains would still be preferable over minimal mid-term losses and losing the presidency in 2012.

Bouncing Berwick their way is as good a sign as any that Obama doesn’t care about Democrats’ ability to distance themselves from his agenda and have a good chance at re-election.  Should his decision to rescind Berwick’s recess appointment backfire, he can always find someone else—there is no shortage of Harvard-educated fans of socialized medicine.  To Obama, everyone is disposable. 

There’s not much chance that the Democrats can prevent the hemorrhaging of blue seats this November.  If they’re smart, they’ll be thankful that at least under Obama’s bus he can’t give the ultimate kiss of death and campaign for them.  Maybe if they’re lucky and Obama’s strategy works out, they can wait patiently for another 2006 to come along.

I feel strangely and excitedly enlightened today, and it was the NAACP who has shown me that light! What an exciting time white folk live in! Just when I thought that all hope of being gloriously guilt free in their racism had been squashed by such things as decency and common sense, the NAACP has shown us how. Yes, you too can be free from the shackles of political correctness, free to be as racist as you want to be.  All you must do is declare that you are a Democrat!

As a Democrat, you now have carte blanche to say whatever messed up, incoherent, dismissive, and racist comment you can mutter; and you don’t even have to say you were drunk, Mel Gibson!

Imagine being an entrenched member of the KKK, using that association proudly to get elected to the Senate, where you get to bring that ideology, unchallenged!  Filibuster the Civil Rights act? No problem, just apologize, say that you did what you did for political expediency. And when you die, expects a hero’s burial, and even those you oppressed will be there to say nice things about you. You’re a Democrat silly—no harm no foul. Ahhh, the freedom!

If you have the temerity to simply not be racist, to take people of all colours and sexes as they are, based on the content of their character, well then you are quite simply a racist moron, bucking for punishment. Declare quickly, “I’m a Democrat!” Poof…all is forgiven.

If you don’t care what color someone is when you agree with them or disagree with them, you reek of racism! For shame! Protest Big Government at Tea Parties, now you have crossed the line, and are an obvious glutton for punishment.  Big Government was set up for people of color, and you want to take their handouts away from them. Racist! Stop being a putz and start thinking like a Democrat!

Why give non-whites the hope of the Constitution, when there is the “hope on steroids” available for free and from a black man. Reparations for all, even those who can’t spell slavery.  See how easy this is!

Since the current administration is presided over by a half black man, being a Democrat is more chic than ever, actually quite the Democrat accessory.  But don’t stop there with just racist white guilt!  Discuss openly your hatred of the military, kick military recruiters off your Ivy League campus, say you want to destroy capitalism and regulate Big “Insert Industry Here,” and you get extra cool points! You might even get to be a Supreme Court justice! If you happen to be androgynous, all the better, especially if you lean Lesbian.

But you want to really curry favor?!  Here’s what you do.  Praise Barack Obama for being light-skinned and not having a “Negro dialect,” and your dance card is full! Bonus if it leaks out on national TV! 

Don’t consider your political career dead, because the Progressive troops will rally around you.

NAACP Senior Vice President for Advocacy Hilary Shelton will say of you to Fox news and blog on the NAACP site that your comments are

“awkward but not inherently offensive”–that “[sic] you are someone who has always scored an ‘A’ on the NAACP’s legislative report card.”

Look at that, you will be given an A! That’s better than a B+! And certainly better than the F you would have gotten if you were a Republican!

Get appointed as a Democrat Senator and that’s an appointment for life, yes better than being on the Supreme Court!

Again I sense that you want to shoot for higher, don’t you?! You over-achiever! Ok, here’s how you do it. 

Praise Barack Obama for being,

“…the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean,” and well you might just get to be Vice-President!

Implying that black people are dirty when you are Democrat…hey everybody gets dirty, right! Don’t sweat black people, because as a Senior VP of SEIU said,

“We have the blacks in check.” 

Just in case however, to seal the deal for VP, just demean Pakistani people saying only they can go in a 7-Eleven, and remember to say something stupid during one of those crises of the mouth your boss man is prone to have and you’re golden.

The NAACP has lots of free passes for Democrats.  Any record of racism can be expunged, if you’re a Democrat.  You now have permission to be a cross-burning, business-hating, military-bashing, pedophile-loving, patriot-detesting, racist elitist!  And the NAACP is on a membership drive. But stay away from Tea Parties.

“We are living today in a time where we’re decades beyond slavery, we are decades beyond Jim Crow, when one of the greatest risks to our children’s future is their own health…”

Exactly what racist Democrat policies have to do with chubby black kids was initially lost on me. Thankfully Obama illuminated an often overlooked aspect of racism by me and the rest of America in this statement:

“African American children are significantly more likely to be obese than are white children. Nearly half of African American children will develop diabetes at some point in their lives. People, that’s half of our children.”

Imagine my surprise to learn that one can recognize racist policies in fat black kids. Here I thought racism was when black men intimidating white voters are not prosecuted for obvious voter intimidation, by a black Attorney General, simply because the perpetrators were black.

I erroneously believed that racism had occurred when a black president spoke out (without any facts) on behalf of a black professor behaving badly, and who was given preference over a white cop doing his job.

Michelle Obama goes on to praise the work of the NAACP in stemming the tide of America’s racist health policies in this statement:

“And if we don’t do something to reverse this trend right now, our kids won’t be in any shape to continue the work begun by the founders of this great organization…”

Obama neglected to honor by name the true trendsetter for the new NAACP—none other than Jesse Jackson. Jackson has been the torch bearer for the Liberal black community for decades. More recently Jackson reminded non-conforming blacks, “You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.”

Another trailblazer, this one white, is Senator Harry Reid (D) Nevada. Reid spearheaded the pursuit of government-run healthcare, as he invoked the race card here:

“When this body was on the verge of guaranteeing equal civil rights to everyone regardless of the color of their skin, some senators resorted to the same filibuster threats that we hear today.”

Ironically, one of the senators to which Harry referred was the late great racist and tangential KKK member Senator Byrd (D) W. VA.

As it turns out, there is a plausible explanation to this generational crisis of “racism by healthcare” that is being perpetrated on the black community, as Michelle Obama points out here:

“In fact, studies have found that African American children spend an average of nearly six hours a day watching TV — and that every extra hour of TV they watch is associated with the consumption of an additional 167 calories.”

Who knew that watching TV was linked to racism? 

Nevertheless, if we follow the bread crumbs we will find that not only is watching TV racist, but also the television itself is complicit in this conspiracy. A conspiracy of global proportions.

The conspiracy began with the American television manufacturers of the  racially charged time of the 1950’s. The torch was passed from racist American companies to racist Asian companies like Sony, LG, Samsung, Vizio—now known as Big TV.

Before we tackle Big TV, let’s consider yet another racist industry and part of the conspiratorial scheme to fatten up America’s poor black children. Michelle Obama explains the racism in the grocery industry:

“For many folks, those nutritious family meals are a thing of the past, because a lot of people today are living in communities without a single grocery store, so they have to take two, three buses, a taxi, walk for miles just to buy a head of lettuce for a salad or to get some fresh fruit for their kids.”

Here’s the wrap:

The confluence of Big TV and Big Food has led to desperation by America’s black children, as FLOTUS points out here:

“…So instead, they wind up grabbing fast food or something from the corner store or the mini-mart — places that have few, if any, healthy options…And we’ve seen how kids in our communities regularly stop by these stores on their way to school — buying themselves sodas and pop and chips for breakfast. And we’ve seen how they come right back to those same stores after school to buy their afternoon snack of candy and sugary drinks.”

I’m just glad that Michelle Obama put the obesity of black children clearly in the hands of those who deserve the blame!  In the America where Michelle Obama can finally for the first time in her adult life be proud, you cannot blame black parents or the Progressive policies for fat black kids. Doing that would make you a racist!
