Dec 7 – SEALs Day of Infamy
December 7 is a day that will live again in infamy. However this time America is not being attacked by enemies foreign, but by enemies domestic. On this day in 2009, three Navy SEALs will go on trial for doing their duty for America. What a difference a decade makes.
The SEALs were tasked with capturing Ahmed Hashim Abed, the terrorist responsible for the torture and murder of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. As Fox News reported,
The four Blackwater agents were transporting supplies for a catering company when they were ambushed and killed by gunfire and grenades. Insurgents burned the bodies and dragged them through the city. They hanged two of the bodies on a bridge over the Euphrates River for the world press to photograph.
This obvious provocation by Blackwater of transporting supplies created the stir that got Abed atop the “Most Wanted Manmade Disaster” list. As you can see, all this was Blackwater’s fault!
Regardless, the SEALs did their job. They captured Abed. And when they brought him in, Abed said that he had been punched…in the gut. And he had the fat lip to prove it. Now I know SEALs are tough, but that must have been one heck of a “gut punch” to make his lip swell. I’m no attorney, but I think I could get these SEALs off on this technicality alone.

The charges facing the SEALs are as follows:
Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.
Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.
Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.
So let’s recap. Three Navy SEALs were tasked with capturing a bona fide terrorist who had undoubtedly kidnapped and executed four Americans, mutilated their bodies, then hanged two of them from a bridge in Iraq. And the terrorist complains of unsubstantiated “harsh treatment” because…he has a fat lip! Do you think terrorists read the Liberals’ playbook?
Now if this were a civilian situation, I might not have to ask this next question. However since the military is responsible for this, I’d like to know the person(s) who brought these SEALs up on charges, so I could…punch him in the gut! Then I’d kick him in the naughty bits, sans cup, AND finally I’d punch him in the lip…until it was fat!
What kind of nation have we become when our citizens can be mutilated and hanged, and our fighting men are then prosecuted for doing their jobs, by bringing the culprit to justice…fat lip be damned? I bet you can find many people in America would say that Abed got off pretty easily, if all he got was a punch in the gut! Believe me when I tell you from first-hand experience that you would need only an infinitesimal fraction of a SEAL to take care of ten Abeds.

Neal Puckett, attorney for McCabe has captured the next steps in this psychodrama in his comment:
“I don’t know how they’re going to bring this detainee to the United States and give us our constitutional right to confrontation in the courtroom,” Puckett said. “But again, we have terrorists getting their constitutional rights in New York City, but I suspect that they’re going to deny these SEALs their right to confrontation in a military courtroom in Virginia.”
And as part of ObamaNation’s “embarrass the US military” and “divide and conquer America” strategy, the plan is to use three other SEALs (two of them officers!) to testify against the other three SEALs, all of whom are enlisted men. And what can we expect these THREE other SEALs possibly add to this discussion? That perhaps one of the SEALs in question did indeed punch the detainee…in the gut!
Will there be an investigation as to “why” Abed was punched in the gut. Maybe Abed was badmouthing Protestantism or Catholicism? Certainly according to Islam, you can’t say anything bad about that religion. Or maybe it was because he had burned and killed four Americans sent to help Iraq, then hung two of them from a bridge?
At this point, why don’t we just decommission the military and let the Girl Scouts take over? Oh that’s right we already did that—when Obama was sworn in!

After watching Obama’s speech last night at West Point, it made me wonder what our military is now being taught. Not one person spoke out against his plan. He wants to send in more troops that run the same risk of getting into trouble that those Navy seals are now in. Why did no one say anything? You could see on the faces of the cadets and officers that they were pissed off, yet they all sat quietly like sheep being led to a slaughter. Is that the freedom they fight for? Does our military have no b@lls? Would you want to be sent to a place knowing that you can doing nothing to protect yourself without running the risk of penalty? Those Seals should be given the Congressional Medal of Honor and West Point should be renamed Wuss Point.

As I stated in a previous blog…The real danger here, is not that Obama is racist, treasonist or anything else.
The real danger lies in the fact that there has been no outrage from either the legislative or judicial branch of the government…or that they have not been motivated to do anything because of the lack of pressure from our ‘main stream’ media. Nixon got blown up because of a couple of reporters doing their job had the support of their paper – and the media in general.
Limbaugh, Beck, Tea Partys, the internet, etc. are the only things that are keeping us on the brink at this point in time.
If the fairness doctrine or net neutrality become the law of the land…we will be Venezuela.

The military can’t speak out against their commander in cheif. They take their orders and do as told. They respect the office of the commander in cheif. My husband is retired military, my father is retired military.
Do many of them wish they could say something? Hell yes! But military protocal they dont’. It’s up to the generals to try to sway the CiC to go with their plan.

I wrote my Congressman this morning requesting more detailed information about this case, including the names and ranks of the individual/individuals who brought the charges against McCabe, Keefe and Huertes. This is of course all with the understanding that the terrorist came quietly. I’m sure that all the SEALs had to do to capture him was ask him politely to accompany them. I can’t imagine any takedown or capture of a terrorist where the target wouldn’t be cooperative in the capture.
I wrote a blog a few days ago on a scenario for our new Kinder Sweeter Military. Sadly I think it’s more prophetic than sarcastic.

I especially like the Girl Scouts analogy. My oldest son is in the Army version of Seals and I have to tell you that one of my and my wife’s greatest fears is that he could get caught up in crap like this. They are under enormous stress. Their job description is hunting high profile targets, that usually come with lots of personal security. Can someone please tell me the upside of such erroneous prosecution…or should I say, PERSECUTION. I watched the messiah’s speech last night and I realized that it had nothing to do with the Afghani surge. He was just reminding us all that Iraq was the wrong thing to do and this was all caused by Bush’s actions and if it should go south it will be because of Bush’s original mistake that the anointed one was sent to correct. Kevin, you are comparing the obama administration to the Girl Scouts. At least the Girl Scouts stand for something that’s right and good whereas, the obama administration stands for everything that is wrong in this world. If you had a duel between a Girl Scout and shithead, (I mean obama), I’d go with the girl….her balls would be larger.

The military is supposed to fight for who? The Government? No the people! The enlistment oath states “I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
Support and defend the Constitution, not the government. The current CINC is a domestic enemy. Why are people so damn afraid of losing their freaking job or position when the president is so blatantly trying to change America as we know it. I am hard on the military because I was a part of it and the sad thing is it is as political as every other part of the government. “Oh I can’t say anything bad against the boss because he is CINC–EVEN THOUGH HE IS DOESN’T FOLLOW THE VERY DOCUMENT I AM SUPPOSED TO DEFEND!!!!

I read an interview with Senator Inhoffe in the NYTimes (someone else bought the rag.). The reporter told him she thought anyone captured by the US had a right to a civilian trial.The senator’s response to that was “WOW”. My thoughts exactly. I may be wrong but I think I remember the Constitution saying something to the effect [all rights herein ..etc.,etc.,..to the PEOPLE of the United States].Since when are foreign terrorists the people of the United States?

The military, active duty, cannot speak out openly or critize the President. Check out the UCMJ.
The cadets at West Point that could speak as they are still students and not active duty members as of yet. They speak out, they will have to deal with a commander or higher up depending on what they say.

Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) prohibits commissioned officers from speaking or writing “contemptuous words” against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present. DOD Directive 1344.10 extends this prohibition to all active duty personnel, including enlisted.

I can’t stand his policies and what he wants to do but until he does a treasonable offence or impeachable offense we are stuck with him. Defeat him through congress, hound your congressional people about not voting for his policies. Tell them if they do vote for any of those policies you will make it your mission in life to ensure that they are voted out of office. You will get family and friends to follow suit. My state has Max Baucus to deal with and apparently enough of us called his office and hounded him he didn’t vote for on one of the last important votes.

I am not here to argue with you, we are on the same side. I don’t give a sh!t what the UCMJ says–there is also the Geneva Conventions which no one abides by and the enlistment oath that says “to defend the Constitution” which apparently doesn’t count for sh!t anymore. The UCMJ exists to keep a military coup from happening. But what about what is right? Maybe a coup is what we need! Because the UCMJ says you can’t speak contemptuous words against government officials you should keep quiet when an injustice is done? These people are quickly taking over our country and the military people know it, yet are afraid of jail time if they say something wrong derogatory. If our Founding Fathers thought that way we’d all be speaking with English accents and getting paid in pounds. I am tired of wussing out and making excuses. Screw the UCMJ and speak up!!!
And about the UCMJ–those Seals will be tried under it and found guilty–where is the justice in that Code????

If you are going to allow a code to dictate how and what you say you are whipped before you have even begun to fight. You are in it for something other than honor and integrity. If you see an injustice and look the other way, where is your honor, your integrity? Does it lie within the Constitution you are supposed to defend or the code, that in the end doesn’t mean sh!t because it is going to change in the next generation anyway. No one spoke up last night not out of honor of the CINC but out of fear of repercussions. And if that is what we are teaching our military today, God help us because we wouldn’t last long in a real war because there’ll be nothing left worth defending!

I am trying to point out that we are stuck in the system that has been created to keep us at bay and we need to get out before it is too late. SPEAK UP AND BE HEARD!! Why isn’t the US Constitution taught to our soldiers in basic training? I challenge you to find a soldier, sailor, marine or airman and ask them to recite the preamble or ask them the minimum age of the president to be elected is? Ask them what is listed in the 2nd Amendment. See if they know the document they are supposed to be defending–and then you will realize why no one in the military has the b@lls to stand up to the CINC.
