Yesterday, I attended a townhall meeting on healthcare with Representative Russ Carnahan, where he dissed this black constituent. For those of you unfamiliar with Missouri politics, the new breed of Carnahans are riding the backs of their deceased father and former Democrat governor of Missouri, Mel Carnahan. Voting 100% of the time with Obama, Russ Carnahan has the distinction of being left of Massachusetts’s Barney Frank.
I must say that Carnahan was as nervous as taxpayer in a room full of liberals! The standing room only crowd obviously rattled him. Carnahan made little eye contact as he likely expected an echo chamber, recognizing instead that he was in Dante’s Inferno.
The crowd was split about 60-40 against him is my read, and that ratio is larger if you removed all the people who were helping at the event who last names begin with “Carnahan!” Many attendees were people with severe disabilities, and they were there for answers, not platitudes.
After speeches by the interim president and the Chancellor of St. Louis University, Carnahan pretty much read the Democrat Party talking points on socialize healthcare, painting a pretty picture of the utopia that awaits us. Carnahan informed us that we will have choice in this health plan, choice of doctors, choice to continue with private insurance, and so on, despite what many attendees had read, which is there would ultimately be no choice.
Carnahan reinforced that there would be choice and that the best choice would be the government. Carnahan explained that the government will provide a larger pool of people, and this will drive prices down, so much so that the government will actually EARN $6B through this plan! The eruption of laughter in the crowd startled Carnahan, and the look on his face was priceless.
Carnahan eventually introduced his “posse.” This group was right out of the Democrat playbook, titled “Using Victims to Sell Anything.” He had people who represented the disabled, children, the elderly, and of course the BLACKS—or as Russ put it, the “disenfranchised.” Notably, none of the demographic these people represented were part of the posse–no blacks, no veterans, etc.
It was finally time for Q&A. Members of Russ’ entourage, practically...
“Sexy Brilliance brings levity to the political discourse in this country. I put a comedic spin on what's happening in America, and showcases the ironies and hypocrisies of politics in America.”
The first question from a shill and was a setup question—a softball, lobbed so Russ could knock it out of the park. Russ reiterated that this new proposed legislation would be revolutionary, and needed to thwart the crisis that is coming in healthcare. Knowing that I would not be able to get my question card read, I shouted “If the plan is so good, then why isn’t Congress included?”
The room again erupted in laughter, and people restated the question. However, Russ “dk’d” me: ‘Didn’t know’ me. Nevertheless the mood of the room became a bit more hostile, as it should when Congress essentially says, “Here is YOUR plan, but we will keep ours.”
I followed up my comment with more truth about the Democrats, by saying, “Russ Carnahan doesn’t listen to black people!” Carnahan said nothing.
Here’s the wrap:
Russ Carnahan did not have that townhall meeting to get our opinions. He was there to “sell,” actually “dictate” to us. Anybody with half a brain—and even a liberal—should know that the government can’t run healthcare effectively!
What the government is going to do is to insure that ALL Amerikans have healthcare “insurance,” not actual “healthcare!” What is ya…ignant? Every socialized healthcare system in the world has (1) long lines, (2) red tape, and (3) very unhappy recipients of “utopian” healthcare. Let me take a moment to define government-sponsored utopia: Life sucks, then you DIE!
The worst part about this new system is the government is selling it as a system that will help the most needy of America’s citizens, and in fact, it is they who will suffer the most. It’s sad that the government is using these and other people to peddle this lie to America.
This is why Carnahan refused to answer this black man’s question. As I reference in my book The BIG Black Lie, no sense enfranchising the disenfranchised uppity Negro who dares to question a Carnahan about the lie he and other Democrats are peddling. Missouri politics is wrought with racists Democrats like Russ Carnahan who use blacks as their minions, but go silent, when it’s time for true representation.
That’s my rant!
