 //  Fat – The New N Word

Posted on Thursday, December 16th, 2010 by Kevin Jackson

Be sure to check out my Amazon best-selling book, The BIG Black Lie, and sign up get on the mailing list to order my 2nd book…coming soon!

Recently Marc Lamont Hill implied that fat kids can’t become president, and now we have Michelle Obama who wants the government to take control of fat kids’ diets.[i] Are fat kids becoming the new Gen-N?

I made this point a while back, but fat kids get fat when they have too much to eat. Anybody over thirty can recall the commercials featuring Africa’s poor children, their distended fat bellies, barely standing on those very skinny legs. Those African kids suffering from malnutrition had flies circling all around their heads, but were too weak to even swat them away. It wasted too many calories to try.

America’s obese kids actually have too much food, but don’t expect Michelle Obama to cut back– that would be too obvious a solution. All America’s fat kids need is: “Change in a diet they can believe in.”

That change needs to come quickly too, as there is a crisis. Fat kids are a threat to national security. Who knew? Here I thought it was terrorists, America’s national debt, and Liberals who were the threats to national security.

Michelle Obama quotes military leaders in informing us that one out of four of our nation’s young people would be unqualified to serve in the military, because of their weight.  I didn’t attend Princeton, but I have surmised that four out of four of our fat kids would not be able to serve, because they are too young.

Is it a sign of desperation that Michelle Obama is using the military to sell the idea that government should regulate what our kids eat? This is proof that Liberals can’t sell this idea even to their own. So Michelle Obama is trying to punk the Conservatives by saying, even the military agrees with this absolutely ridiculous idea.

It is mainly Liberal parents who can’t or won’t care for their kids, but we must all suffer.

I have a suggestion: Put parents of obese kids in jail, but they get 90 days to get ‘Junior off his video playing, Dorito-eating lazy butt!” I bet you’d see parents interacting with their kids then. My idea involves parent-child interaction, unlike Michelle Obama’s idea for more government control and a money-grab.

Michelle Obama’s solution is not about the kids, it’s about government control. The kids are just the start. Liberals begin with childhood obesity, but they are coming for adulthood obesity next. Fat kids may be dangerous to national...

security, but fat adults are dangerous to Liberals.

Liberals like a “pretty” Utopia where fat people don’t exist. Look at who’s in the media, movies, television, and marketing. Liberals set the agenda for what is beautiful or healthy in America, despite the fact that skinny people die at the same ratio as fat people…100%.

Michelle Obama’s vision for America sounds suspiciously like discrimination against the chubbies, if you ask me. It is also reminiscent of Hitlerian politics, in that she has a vision for a thin America. No blonde hair, blue eyes in Michelle Obama’s vision.

We are all born with a “due date,” ordained by God. And no matter what the government or anybody else does, one’s date with destiny is set. You can affect the quality of your life, but that should be how you define it, not the government.

I know many fat kids who have grown up to be skinny kids. One of my fat childhood friends grew up to become an Army Ranger. Fat kids grow up to become professional football players, titans of industry, even governors of New Jersey.

If somebody enjoys food, then let them enjoy it. What’s wrong with junk food, if that floats your boat? Who is the government to tell you that you must eat salads, tofu, or whatever.

Here is a statistic from the military that may interest you:  One hundred percent of skinny half-black presidents are unfit to serve in the US military. Now there’s a true national security threat!

Having been a track athlete back in the day and martial artist for almost forty years, I’m all for healthful living. But can you imagine how things would be if the government regulates our food. I suspect it might be like the postal service, where we will have to skip meals a day or two during the week.

Further, I live in America, because I want personal choice. Understanding the background of discrimination, I don’t think the government should be singling out any group for experimentation. They have tried this with black people and the results are dismal.

So what if fat kids can’t lose weight, does the government take them from the parents? And if the kids are under government supervision and can’t lose weight, how about we just shoot them?

I guess for now all the government will do is single them out, persecute them so they develop issues about their weight at an early age. Forget that most fat kids grow up and lose weight, and just become regular adults.  It doesn’t matter, because “fat” is now the new N-word.

That’s my rant!

This war on "fat" kids is ridiculous. Parents should make the choices for their children – not the Government. That's too much intrusion into families.

The Liberal Utopia of which you speak is Boulder, Colorado brother. I'm not fat by a mile but I have never felt so "inadequate" in my life. Its a Liberal hot bed and my black butt has never felt so uncomfortable in a city in my LIFE (and I've been to some places, I probably never should have gone). :D But I guess the point is/was, that I wasn't supposed to be there either. ;) I guess the prevailing thought over in Wastington <–(yes intentional) is that we all should look like the populace of happy go lucky Boulder, Co where only the beautiful are allowed to walk the streets.

The most Liberal city in America, San Francissy, has already started with their diet control. Making private businesses remove all of those "crunchy little toys" in their kids meals. I knew those toys had some attraction but I did not know that they tasted so good that they could make a kid fat!

All of this is because some doctor once told her that one of her precious angels was a little overweight. There are things that go on in our metabolic lives that affect the way we retain weight. I'd bet none of this would be occurring if that Doctor would have just said to Michelle to make certain that these new kids get out of the house and do sumthin' !

@Sir RonB, I think San Fran and Boulder are neck and neck for most Liberal city. Diff is, Boulder doesn't need diet control, the kids are all born perfect…. Lol… Last time I went to San Fran, I thought, man if invaders were able to come into this country through San Fran that city would lie down, rollover, and do tricks. Thank God I live in Texas.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but you're making the same mistaken assumptions liberals are re: fat. I'd recommend spending some time at http://junkfoodscience.blogspot.com/ and reading some Paul Campos and Gina Kolata, just for starters. Most of what we're told about fat is false.

The only thing in this country that needs to be forced on a diet is the federal government.

The nanny state politicians need to re-examine our beliefs. They use the government intrusions into health care as an excuse to set all kinds of food policy, sue tobacco companies and micro-manage farmers and other food producers. Instead of all those intrusions, I'd like to see the government step aside and get out of the way of the American people. If the government starts getting out of our health care system, someone from the private sector will come up with new and innovative ways to have medical services delivered. The same government that tolerates inefficiency in every sphere of influence that it sticks its nose in somehow feels it's okay to tell us who is taking in too many calories for our own good.

The American Jewish Congress:

The Limbaugh comments comparing Obama ( and Pelosi )to Hitler and the Nazis are grossly offensive and intolerable. They reflect a nasty and hyperbolic tendency on our political culture, one which makes reasoned discourse impossible, confuses disagreement with evil, and which makes it impossible to distinguish evil from ordinary politics. . . . It behooves all participants in the political process to unequivocally disavow the comparison and to make it plain that peddlers of such noxious comparison have no place in our politics, no matter how large their audiences. And all Americans should make plain their disgust at the comparisons by talk show hosts by a prompt use of the off button. …

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today called attempts by some opponents of health care reform to bring Nazi imagery into the debate, "outrageous, deeply offensive and inappropriate" and condemned remarks by talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, who compared President Obama's health care logo to a swastika, and policies championed by the Democratic Party to those of the Nazis.

What kind of BS is this. When the “state” tries to regulate what people should look like, i.e. traits like blond hair, blue eyes, and in the case of Michelle Obama, weight, then it is indeed Hitlerian.

Do I have a case to sue Obama? I've have gained exactly 26 lbs since Obama came out in 2007 ! I'm fat for the first time in 60+ years !

First, because I was so constantly concerned with how the media was treating him before he got the nomination, I had a heart attack, quad bypass. Then as 2008 went on, when he got elected, how could I not eat and drink too much ! So now for 2 years, spending way too much time on the 'net, blogs and twitter looking for the right spot to comment to make a difference so that folks will wake up .. .. and .. and .. and ..

Well there's just no time for exercise, walking, etal – just more drink and food and drink…

So it's not my fault ! Its Obama's .

I hate this nanny BS! I'm 56 years old, 6'2" and weigh about 165. I've ballooned up from my high school weight of 135 over the last 15 years, because I don't do daily (oil) field work anymore.

My son at 19 was 6'3" and 155 #'s and had to gain weight to get in the Army.

We've eaten at McD's our whole lives, just not everyday….we spaced it out. Now the government is putting Sin Taxes on cokes, chips anything they think is "bad" for us. Now I get to pay because their are people that can't realize that when you feel full, stop eating.

On top of that, they are taking the toys away from me? That is over the line.

Agreed Kevin. But take it a step further: Our FLOTUS is sooo concerned with fat kids, yet they allow people to buy junk with OUR money. The allow parents to continue to do drugs while getting checks from the government. They allow people to spit out kids one after another while living in Government assisted housing…

I suggest this is typical of liberal thinking. Fat kids are unpleasant to the elites, they see them in public schools so they want to fix the symptom of a greater problem. Instead of looking at why kids are fat and why their parents are failing to do the job, lets just make it so EVERYONE has no choice in their intake..

I say if you want to regulate my food because folks cant say no, then you better start drug testing parents on the government dime too…

Who's calling who fat? Does the FLOTUS ever look in a mirror, at her back side? She didn't get that wide eating carrots. Oh the hypocrisy!

If these lib mothers would stay home and raise their children, maybe cook a real meal, and take the kids outside to exercise instead of sitting them in front of their extra wide flat screen TV, maybe their kids wouldn't be fat.

I'm starting to wonder when we gave all these people the authority to make laws. I could have sworn that was something the Congress was supposed to do on a "as needed" basis. Now on top of those swamp rats' almost daily exercise in legislation, we have the EPA, the FCC, and two of the fattest butts to ever spout dietary restrictions (Moochshelle and the Surgeon General) coming up with their own brilliant ideas on controlling the proles. It's entirely unacceptable!!!

Having a little fat can be healthy, but carry to much fat is not considering the fact I know this young man and high school that died over obesity in his room. R.i.p Taveon Johnson. Some parents don't recognize what too much fat is like one particular parent did'nt. The reason why her son, my friend suffered not even knowing it. He just kept eating unhealthy why the mother allowed it intill Taveon Johnson went to sleep on his couch and never woke up. Now what a little bit said I think if the parents ain't gone do nothing then yes the law should regulate our food only to protect the children from they parents who let them go that direction to become over weight. Letting a kid eat 8 large meals a day is no worser then letting your kid starve theyself and if letting your kid starve theyself is not acceptable then why let him eat to much. She know who i'm talking about and yes you are forgiven but the memories is not forgotten and i'm need some ya'll to stop joking around wene it come to serious topics because that's telling me your oppinions dont mean nothing AND YOU FULL OF B.S.!!!!!!

DaSicilian says:

DaSicilian says:
December 29, 2010 at 10:43 am

@True Rumor…Yes, obesity is an issue…but…we do not need government oversight on what we feed our kids. Nor, I might add, do we need government oversight in what we teach our kids…or religions we profess to them, etc…unless of course you don't give a hoot about personal freedom…little of which, we still are still clinging to….

ant says:
December 29, 2010 at 6:30 pm

True Rumor, with all due respect, how much authority do you wish to grant the government in order to enforce morality? The Fed cannot even faithfully execute the duties they ARE responsible for. On top of that, how's that War on Poverty been going? Not to good, huh? There are parents out there who beat their kids, who smoke crack all day, and a lot of other things morally reprehensible and yet the government has not been able to prevent these things. Why trust them now with some more Legion of Superhero tasks like predicting someone's intended lifespan? I'm not trying to pick on you, I know there are a lot of people out there who believe it's the Feds job to watch over us like some omnipotent friendly, neighborhood Spiderman character. And it is extremely sad that we have generations of Americans that believe this. It makes me very sad, indeed.

Mark says:
December 29, 2010 at 7:04 pm

good stuff man…
If people can't keep themselves and their kids from eating too much thats their problem, not mine. Not anyone's fault but their own. Too bad theres no such thing as personal accountability these days…

True Rumor says:
December 29, 2010 at 8:24 pm

What you said I just can't believe, you made no sense at all. What do personal freedom got to do what I just said? Do you know if we did'nt have government to overlook on what parents feed they kids our teach they kids (some) kids will eat anything and everything intill they heart can't take it know more, Now is that what you call personal freedom? Some parents don't deserve personal freedom especially what some parents teach they children. Have you watch the news lately. Mother teaches son how to steal, Father teaches 12 year old dauther how to be a con, but I must say your 100% right about religion, i'm just saying DaSicilian you should know that not every parent is really a parent of how they raise they kids, and nothing is wrong with being fat…trust me, it's just that too much fat is.
