Team Obama Punked by IOC

obama-limp-wristIf you like what I do, consider my book The BIG Black Lie, an Amazon Best Seller!  It’s the only 5-star political book on the Best Seller list!

For the Liberals who voted for Obama thinking he could influence the world, you just got publicly punked by the IOC.  They showed what the sane among us already knew, and that is Obama is not the god the Liberals all believe him to be. If you still believe he is a god, then I contend he is as ineffectual as a god, as he is a president.

In a move you would think was choreographed by the vast right-wing conspiracy—if it existed—Obama and Team Chicago couldn’t even get past the first round in consideration for the Olympics!  There were cities that didn’t spend a dime pursuing the Olympics and finished right where Chicago did.

When I saw how Chicago reacted to this loss, the abject disappointment, as it was announced that they were the #1 loser, I thought to myself, “This is one big event too late.”  This is what they were supposed to feel like when Obama lost the nomination as the Liberals’ candidate for POTUS.  Didn’t happen.  So when Team Obama lost this for Chicago, I felt like white people did when OJ recently convicted—“We finally got him!”

You would think that with all the “Os” in attendance, Chicago would have been a foregone conclusion to host the 2016 Olympics—just in time for Obama’s 3rd term in office. If I was a god, that’s how I would have scripted it.  But it was not to be…because Obama is no god!

How do you spin getting such a beatdown?  Burris is blaming Bush!  After all, Obama “inherited this mess!” This might have worked if Obama hadn’t made ten apology tours!  Notwithstanding, we were told that the mere election of Obama was enough for the world to love us.

Obama talking heads are saying that Obama was in Copenhagen as a stopover for his trip to Afghanistan!  It all sounds pretty ridiculous.  There isn’t enough spin to spin your way out of this public flogging of Team Obama.

Chicago sent its most famous mulatto son, Barack, its most famous black daughter, Oprah, and its most famous black militant, Michelle to represent them in this bid.  In the eyes of Liberal America and supposedly the world, it just doesn’t get any bigger than that.  The Unholy Trinity!  They represented the best of the best Liberals of Chicago.  Chicago could have saved themselves a lot of embarrassment and money just sending three gang bangers on vacation to Copenhagen to represent Chicago.  It would have been just as representative and had the same outcome.

Ironically, the Liberals who want “everybody to get a trophy” learned a hard lesson: There is a loser and Obama is it. I got a chance to interview the Mayor of Rio, and he simply said to me, “I won!” Touché!

There was one Liberal who had a great day as Obama’s failures were illuminated, and that is Hillary Clinton. She was actually giddy the day Chicago died, because she got a “two-fer.”  Hillary got to actually play president that day, discussing Afghanistan and Pakistan, while Obama played marbles in Copenhagen.  Hillary felt rather presidential, while Obama looked much like the neophyte that he is.  Clinton chuckled as she watched Obama navigate the mine field.  It’s safe to say that he blew off a leg this week!  Clinton’s happiness over recent developments in the Obama camp is exceeded only by the ineffective Michael Steele’s. Obama is making things easy for both of them.

Here’s the wrap:

Obama OlympicsThe idea that a sitting president would find it necessary to make the Olympics an issue, dare I say a “crisis,” just shows you the level of desperation Obama has for avoiding the real issues plaguing America.  But with the distraction of this major issue of getting the Olympics for Chicago out of the way, what is a “play-president” to do?  He will likely appoint a Distraction Czar!

Perhaps the Distraction Czar will have Obama weigh in on the Letterman crisis, maybe set up another BeefFest?  The Letterman Controversy certainly supersedes things like the rising unemployment rate, now almost 10%–a ratio the stimulus package was supposed to prevent.  To quote Obama, “That’s what a stimulus does!”  There is also that backburner Iranian nuclear issue.  Obama sees Iran as “little!”  “Little” like Bruce Lee, unfortunately.  And finally, there is the butt-kicking the US is getting in Afghanistan—the war the Liberals said was worth fighting. It appears to be worth fighting, just not be worth winning?

As Obama said of ACORN, “[sic] These are not things I follow closely.”

The good thing is the real God can manage all these things.  It appears God has a sense of humor, as He delivers Chuck Norris roundhouses to Obama well-earred noggin.  Maybe this was God’s plan for America—to get them to remember who is really in charge.

That’s my rant!

“…with all the O’s in attendance…” Great line. They could have brought some more by bringing a box of CheeriO’s.

Maybe the IOC saw Chicago political corruption machine coming to the Olympics and just did not need it. Daley, Emanuel, Obama and former gub’ner Rod!

Why on earth would the IOC want to have the 2016 Olympics in the U.S. when the POTUS has spent nearly a year telling the world the U.S. ISN’T special in ANY way. For that matter, how could Obama ask for the Olympics with a straight face, when he appears to think the U.S. doesn’t deserve anything good.

As an American, it’s tough to accept glib “joy” at having loss the chance to host 2016 on American soil.

Americans who hate their president fail to realize this was not a slight against president Obama, this was a rejection of our country as a whole- our COUNTRY. Truth be told, it has less to do with America and more about Rio historically winning the games.

President Obama showed up to cheer for America and Americans. Same as the heads of state did for every other competing nation among the final 4 contenders. It’s deeply troubling- not to mention unpatriotic- to be “happy” about this rejection, and think this is anything less than a loss for AMERICA.

I live abroad and can assure you that president Obama is well respected and liked by the greater world community. Certainly much more than when president Bush was in office. President Obama is not a god and no rational person would expect him to be such. When I observe such irrational rantings from “happy to see our president fail at any/everything” Americans I deeply despair for the future of my country…

Great article Kevin – The top picture of Michelle looks like she sure is eating well at the WH – I’m glad that my house is feeding her well – She sure is starting to catch up with the backside of Hilliary and yet younger so lots of years to Goodyear up and become Oprah. Perhaps it was the 16 yr. old that got bludgeoned to death last week…hey wait a second, I’ve just had an epiphany here!
Why not send the ‘Safe School Czar,’ Kevin Jennings to Chicago to clean things up…I mean the kids may end up molested by a sexual deviant, but at least they’ll be alive to vote for BO the next time around…

DaSicilian says:
October 5, 2009 at 11:37 am

@GLJ
This is not about America losing the Olympics…it is about America losing the Constitution. Since BO has come onto the scene, we have had a never ending stream of ‘he is the one…’ Well he’s not. He is, as most folks are realizing now, the marxist some of us thought he was. Even the MSM is beginning to come around – to a lesser degree. BO has thrown valued allies under the bus and has shown support for every two-bit dictator in the world – especially if they are socialist.
You say that Bush was disliked while in office…well guess what…that’s okay with me…no popularity contests needed – we, AND the world need strong moral and ethical leaders coming from the US. Because above all, with all the railing that the Europeans and the rest of the world do against the US, they understand that the world would not be a better place w/out the American dream, work ethic and commitment to freedom.
No sir, we are not perfect, but we are a people unlike any other in history…

Off my soapbox…for now…

Good stuff Kevin!
Contrary to the comments of GLJ, The O’s went representing Chicago and Self. Period. In their speeches they collectively said “me,” “I,” “my,” “mine.” 52+ times. Do some research comparing to the other speeches vying for 2016 (or any other) Olympics. They were an embarrassment to the UNITED States of America.
I don’t revel in the failures of this president, he’s his own sinking ship. We’re just spectators armed with truth. Remember us? The Silent Majority? I don’t feel guilty for the grin.

October 5, 2009 at 12:17 pm

“GLJ-Maybe you should come back to America and find out what’s really going on. It sounds like you’re getting all of your information from the Liberal media both in Europe and USA.”

…Jim, I work and live abroad what must I come back to America to find out? I see, read and hear very clearly as to what is ‘really going on’ in my country. But I’m open so please explain it to me as you see it.

My statement came from my perspective as an American living abroad, in response to the assertion (false) that president Obama is disliked by the world community and thus HE’S the reason America lost the Olympic bid. That is simply not the case.

And I don’t live in Europe. I do however watch Al Jazeera, Fox News, BBC, CNN and Bloomberg daily, and read The Economist, TIME, The Financial Times, NY Times, and various local newspapers to get a balanced view of news from virtually every angle. I assure you I know what’s happening in the US and the world at large, and much of it is disheartening. Starting with this “we want our president to fail” subculture that has developed in America since our current president was elected.

Make no mistake, America’s enemies are watching (and reading) the infighting. We’re destroying our own country’s resolve from the inside out. This Olympics “fallout” is a perfect example. The self-defeating subculture will use America’s lost Olympic bid to take the wind out of president Obama’s sails. To paint him as a weak, ineffectual leader. I ask, what country do you think our president represents?

We as Americans should be uplifting and praying for him (if you’re religious) and his administration to get focus and clarity to deal with all the serious issues: the US economy, Afghanistan, unemployment, Iran, health care reform, tort reform, etc.

It’s laughable how simple and blinded some of us have become, but the reality is that it’s not funny. Not to a rational mind anyway. We need to pull together as a people and a country, roll up our sleeves and get the work done. Otherwise you may as well enroll in Mandarin courses because the Chinese will own us more than they already do. Real talk.

Fic says:
October 5, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Kevin, I can’t believe you are saying all these silly things. As far as I am concerened, America, our country lost the bid. Since when people who love their country rejoyced at its loss? The majority of Americans elected Obama (most probably many regret their decision now) i.e he is OUR PRESIDENT. You remind me of Rush Limbaugh who wished for Obama’s failure and in extension for our country’s failure.
You also seem to be happy about the “butt-kicking the US is getting in Afghanistan.” To me the soldiers who are fighting there are AMERICANS and not Obama’s soldiers. All our brothers and sisters wear THE AMERICAN uniform and need our support as such.
And finally, if we were able to host the olympics, some of your MULATO brothers and sisters might have gotten some kind of job. Or maybe, they would have spent time watching the olympics and as a result the murder number in the city might have gone down.

Jame H says:
October 5, 2009 at 12:25 pm

The reason, and this is according to Rush, that he lost the bid for the Olympics is because despite the world’s love of our socialist president, they still hate the USA. That’s the reason we lost.

DaSicilian says:
October 5, 2009 at 12:31 pm

@GLJ
You are correct! We are not concerned about the loss of the Olympics, but rather the loss of our Constitution. Since he has taken office, and at nearly every turn of the road, BO has trampled the Constitution and has shown his true colors: He is a Marxist – some of us knew this from the beginning, others are seeing the light as we speak. Even the left leaning main stream media has begun to take some notice. He has succeeded in throwing our allies under the bus while showing support for every two bit dictator around the globe, especially if they are socialist. He has frittered away time – not making any decisions about Afghanistan – while our brave men and women are dying over there. He has surrounded himself with tax cheats, pedophiles and communists in the White House, while calling middle America mobs and anarchists. Back in August, this government of THE PEOPLE set up a web site so that folks that saw anything ‘fishy’ being said about BO or his healthcare program can forward the info to the government.
GLJ, you say that you are overseas, if you’re in Germany, you may want to speak to some of the older folks there about what went on there in the 30s.
My friend, you do need to dig deeper on the issues going on stateside…our government is in the auto, banking and insurance businesses…oh and did you here? They are now in the student loan business, too! Next up: healthcare and cap and trade. Oh and by the way, BO is not the only one duplicitous in all this – the House and Senate are keeping up w/the Obama’s very nicely, thank you.
Many people and leaders around the world are beginning to be concerned with our spineless leader, because they know, that with all of our faults, the only hope for most of them is if America remains the shining city on the hill – a city with a people unlike any other in history.
This is not about the loss of some games – this is about checkmate for America.

It is true the IOC was not impressed with the POTUS as god. A local Danish paper commented that he actually had disrespected Chicago. There seems to be some disagreement about who was rejected – USA or Obama?. Since it seems likely the IOC would have voted down the USA if President Bush had gone over to campaign, I wonder whether more people here would agree if we add the following distinction:
No matter what the rest of the world feels about Obama, the IOC still rejected the USA – which means that Obama’s presence does nothing to improve our nation’s status worldwide.
In that sense, voting against the USA is voting against Obama.
Whaddya think?

@ GLJ – One thing no one’s yet mentioned is the fact that at least one (recent?) study indicates that hosting the Olympics is a very costly enterprise. Although hosting the Olympics gives your country a nice PR boost (assuming you host them well!), I think most Americans agree that the last thing we need right now is more spending. We’re already worried and unhappy about our relationship with the IRS. Despite SNL’s hilarious opening skit, Obama actually *has* done a couple things, among them throwing gobs of taxpayer money all over the place with little to no oversight or forethought and outlandishly jacking up the national debt. Also, since we’re on the brink of another world war and just (before Copenhagen) learned that Obama had communicated only once with Gen. McChrystal in 90 days, I think the costly, two-jumbo jet trip to Europe had many Americans concerned that our president’s priorities are a bit jumbled. If the important things were going well around here, I suspect that fewer people would be so relieved and happy about the president’s failure to get the games…

I”m not quite sure who GSJ thinks he is, but we can be sure he isn’t running in the circles of the world leaders and politicians that make up the OIC.
GSJ you make you absurd statements as if who gets to host the Olympics is a ‘popular vote’.
It isn’t a representation of what the people of the world think. It is a bunch of high and mightly leaders/politicians/etc who get together and decide who should host it this time….not much different than who host this year’s neighborhood picnic, but with a lot more money on the line.

They didn’t vote against America, they didn’t vote against the O’loser crew that went over there. (Although I can’t imagine the size of those egos not being a huuuuge turn-off to anyone)
They decided based on things like ‘what are our chances of terrorist attack?’ and ‘do I feel good and safe sending my atheletes there?’ and ‘Do I myself feel safe traveling there?’ and lets not forget the most important ‘which location has better weather and is more likely to turn out the most countries?’

Get a clue guys. This was not some world popularity vote.

For GLJ,

I seen that GLJ, left the comment that losing the olympics was a loss for our country. And then admits to living abroad. That’s what I call a loyal patriot. I’m sure since your living abroad you probably are not paying taxes either. All I have to say is elections do have consequences. I love how liberals say that the heads of states were in attendance. That is a lie, they video teleconferenced in. Second, with issues such as Afghanistan, Health Care, Cap and Trade, UNEMPLOYMENT rising, and Corruption running rampant in the Government. Why would you even think about making a trip to try and win the Olympics. Simple the people of this nation decided not to pay attention to the presidential campaign. If they did they would have known that our President cast maybe three votes during his Senate and House career and abstained well over 100 times. Which means he chose not to vote over 90% of the time. Which means he chose not to lead. The people of this nation voted for a Great Speaker and that’s about it. Our President has never led anything except a campaign. But that’s not even true either, that’s the job of the Campaign Manager. And here is some advice for the President, why don’t you try not being buddy, buddy with everybody, stay in the oval office, and do your Job. Stay off the Campaign Trail for Five Minutes.

To me the big problem was Obama talking more of himself than his country. Think Michelle dressed like a canary didn’t help matters. She needs help!!

Obama should have stayed home instead of being in Copenhagen acting like the community organizer that he is. Being out of the country when one of the most important economic reports are being announced doesn’t sit very well. The monthly jobs report with the number of people who lost jobs and the people who have lost their benefits due to expiration and the annointed one is off on a community organizer trip. At least he didn’t trash American this time.

Oh puh-lease! The loss of the Olympics is a loss to our country and we should all hang our heads in sorrow! Seriously? It’s a few weeks of games and a whole lotta years of debt. By that theory, those other loser countries should also be collectivley mourning this tragic blow. We’re all pointing and laughing at them, aren’t we?!

Our country could use fewer decision based on emotion, and whole lot more based on sound reason and common sense.

Get a grip!

By far, this is one of the most intelligent discussions I’ve read! Thanks, Kevin, for writing your book (I’m off to Amazon!) and encouraging the comments from your readers. Your article was spot-on.
~~~Blessings~~~
@Mick – You had me with “community organizer” in Copenhagen! Clever!
@Dana – Preach it! America doesn’t need the Olympics to feel a sense of pride or contribution to the world. Let Rio add this to their accomplishment, besides Brazilian Jiu Jiutsu!
Fic;Your misguided notion about Conservatives is why McCain lost the election.Playing nice against an adversary that will do ANYTHING to win will give them the power to turn us into a Socialist state.If you don’t understand that your a few french fries short of a happy meal!
It really chaps me that some are taking what in reality is just a huge sigh of relief to learn the entire world is not under the Obama spell, and accusing us of not loving our country or being spiteful racists.
Those who worship our President and voted him in because he passionately read the words from the teleprompter are the first to credit the President with anything good that happens in the world today. They would have “gleefully” attributed a win to the President, by the same token, they must also attribute the loss to him. You can’t have it both ways.
@tpgow – Yeah, this is another thing GLJ may not know about yet (many folks don’t, and most of the news outlets s/he mentioned reading – including most Fox News programs – haven’t talked about it … yet?). Great point.
@GLJ – Many Americans (LOTS in Illinois, no doubt) are unhappy about Valerie Jarrett’s involvement with the Obama’s bid for the Olympics. Ms. Jarrett, Obama’s “best friend” (his words) and one of his closest advisors, is also one of the biggest slumlords in Chicago. Additionally, she is one of the people who stood to benefit greatly if the USA had won the Olympics bid. I’m pretty sure she was with the three Os in Copenhagen last week; in any case, prior to Obama winning the national election, Ms. Jarrett was a lobbyist for (guess what?) getting the Olympics to Chicago. Many folks are upset by even the appearance of such a huge conflict of interest exhibited by a key member of the administration – and by Obama’s active support of it. The story stinks on ice. This is yet another reason lots of us don’t consider it unpatriotic to cheer for Rio’s victory.
btw, According to Judicial Watch (http://www.judicialwatch.org/), the White House had to issue an “Ethics Waiver” (think about that for a sec) in order to hire Valerie Jarrett.
It would have been an interesting Olympics,you have to admit! Obama could have run with the torch and passed it to Himself…sorry,I mean himself. Maybe all the winners could relinquish the gold medals to the losers in the name of social justice…redistribution of r eward…fundmentally transform competition…oh my God,let me stop!!!
That dumbass reetard is a tool of the Italians and he thinks he’s using THEM to further his Black Supremacy nonsense. And now he has let them down. They really hate that. He’s gotta be sleeping with both eyes open and his sphincter squeezed shut. Which I am sure he ain’t used to doin’ – that last part. HAHAHAHAHAHA
GLJ….You are right he is weak and ineffectual…an empty suit..In 2004 he said he did not have the experience necessary to run for President…he was sure right about that….maybe he should have run a donut shop first…he is a marxist and antichristian….the worst piece of crap that has come along in 100 years…I think in of your posts you said we should pray for him..Believe me I do ….I pray that straw man gets a brain.
HAHA That’s a great picture of the kenyan-in-chief and his ugly travelling companion up there. haha he looks like an uncoordinated victim of a head injury trying to walk and sneeze at the same time and his ol’ lady, or ol’ roommate, looks like a flatfooted, highwaisted street-denizen thinking about what next to yell at the traffic. They look like a panel from a Robert Crumb satire clomping down the avenue having wandered-off from the holding pen for delusional, grandeur-obsessed reetards.
