Iran President Ahmadinejad

If you like this blog, then consider buying my Amazon Best Selling Book, The BIG Black Lie. Thanks for the support!

Iran remains unconvinced about the demise of America, and apparently wants to ensure our destruction.  America represents Iran’s hearty Halal meal. But they are happy to start with a kosher snack…Israel!

It turns out that Iran has been building a secret nuclear weapons program!  GASP!  This is the very same nuclear program that they denied existed.  And as for the nuclear program to which they openly acknowledged, they said they only wanted nuclear power…for their homes…oh and maybe to nuke Israel, if that’s ok with the rest of the world…or not!

The fact that Iran tested their short range missiles, which of course can reach Israel has nothing to do with Iran’s stated goal of the destruction of Israel.  The timing of the missile tests coinciding with the discovery of their secret nuclear program couldn’t be construed as Iran thumbing their noses at the rest of the world—ok, the UN—and America…oh and Israel?

ahmadinejad - i wonIronically, Ahmadinejad is the same person who caused the demise of Jimmy Carter back in the late ‘70’s.  This most recent development—that pesky super secret nuclear program—could bring about the demise of Obama.  I must admit, Ahmadinejad is beginning to grow on me! It is refreshing to see that third-world presidents can push around white and black Democrat American presidents.

Don’t be disheartened however, because we have two things going for us:

First, Obama has WORDS to offer.  I re-read what he said in his speech in the UN—you know the part about ridding the world of nuclear weapons.  His timing on this couldn’t be better.  And I am confident that Iran will heed his advice despite their having a super-secret nuclear program, albeit “peaceful.”

They will heed his advice, because Obama is a tough guy!  A product of Chicago politics.  That will surely help him demoralize the evil terrorists of the world, right?  Surely one of them has sealed records about a divorce, or some other peccadillo that will allow Obama to pencil-whip the crap out of them!  I can see Ahmadinejad now, “lawyering up” as Obama’s team hits Iran with their tough words.

Scorecard:

  • Obama                  1
  • Iran                       0
  • America         NUKED!

Obama demonstrated his prowess on world affairs, saying during his presidential campaign, “He would meet with rogue dictators, and Iran is little!  Does anybody even remember McCain telling Obamav(1)  not to negotiate with terrorists, and (2) the object in your mirror (Iran) may be bigger than you think!  Obama didn’t listen,...

22622_cover_front

“Sexy Brilliance brings levity to the political discourse in this country. I put a comedic spin on what's happening in America, and showcases the ironies and hypocrisies of politics in America.”

Buy_now
and now we have a sissy in the fight!

Our next line of defense is the UN!  Their forceful action to date has allowed Iran to (1) have a public nuclear program [the one for power to their homes and the destruction of Israel], and (2) to have a super-secret nuclear program [the one to make sure that Infidels all become Muslims, and the destruction of the Infidels of The Great Satan—the United States].

Here’s the wrap:

obama-ahmadinejadLiberals believed that electing Obama would bring world peace and harmony to all within the sound of his voice, and that the world would suddenly love America, because we had elected an African as our leader.  Perhaps they felt that our move to become a third-world nation would placate those who find us exceptionalists.

Further, Obama has demonstrated his willingness to castrate America’s military as well as our clandestine agencies, while he and Pelosi debate who gets to wear our patriots’ “naughty bits” as a necklace.  One would think that the international terrorist leaders would stand down, and allow America’s biggest terrorists—Liberal Americans—to continue to destroy America from within.

Yes, I know that Ahmadinejad said that he has no problem with the American people, and actually praised us.  “We have nothing against the Infidels themselves, it is the infidel government, that we wish to destroy by dropping a bomb on all American cities.  All praises be to Allah.”  Qhaddafi said that Obama should be president…FOREVER, but Qhaddafi wants no part of anybody who resembles Ronald Reagan.  He still has fond memories of Reagan sending a smart missile up his tailpipe.

Iran respected Reagan as well, releasing American hostages the same day that Reagan was sworn into office as president, replacing Jimmy “Defender of Lowly Negro Presidents” Carter.  In short, both Qhaddafi and Ahmadinejad recognized strong leadership, and they despise it.

Still, all this kumbaya by Obama reaching out to terrorist regimes, the endorsement of Qhaddafi, and terrorists continue to plot against us.  Three terror plots were thwarted just last week, and the terrorists were even going to attack us “non-combatants.”  I guess Muslim terrorists don’t make distinctions between infidels?  Nothing like a tolerant religion.

Still our internal enemies—the Liberals—want us to believe that there is no threat to America or the world. Israel isn’t buying it however, and they are undeterred.  Netanyahu is a real leader, and not a 17-year old idealist like Obama.  And with the resolve of the Jews and leadership like Netanyahu, Israel may be more than a snack, and in fact more than a meal.  I can tell you that there are meals that can kill you!

That’s my rant!

From wikipedia.org –> Proudhon

“Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (15 January 1809 in Besançon – 19 January 1865 in Passy) was a French politician, mutualist philosopher and socialist. He was a member of the French Parliament, and he was the first to call himself an anarchist. He is considered among the most influential of anarchist writers and organisers. After the events of 1848 he began to call himself a federalist. [1]

Proudhon was a printer who taught himself Latin in order to better print books in the language. His best-known assertion is that Property is Theft!, contained in his first major work, What is Property? Or, an Inquiry into the Principle of Right and Government (Qu’est-ce que la propriété? Recherche sur le principe du droit et du gouvernement), published in 1840.

The book’s publication attracted the attention of the French authorities. It also attracted the scrutiny of Karl Marx, who started a correspondence with its author. The two influenced each other: they met in Paris while Marx was exiled there. Their friendship finally ended when Marx responded to Proudhon’s The System of Economic Contradictions, or The Philosophy of Poverty with the provocatively titled The Poverty of Philosophy.”

“J. Salwyn Schapiro wrote in 1945:

Proudhon had the tendency, inevitable in the Anti-semite, to see in the Jews the prime source of the nation’s misfortunes, and to associate them with persons and groups that he hated…Anti-semitism, always and everywhere, the acid test of racialism, with its division of mankind into creative and sterile races, led Proudhon to regard the Negro as the lowest in the racial hierarchy. During the American Civil War he favored the South, which, he insisted, was not entirely wrong in maintaining slavery. The Negroes, according to Proudhon, were an inferior race, an example of the existence of inequality among the races of mankind…”

“Stewart Edwards, the editor of the Selected Writings Of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, remarks: “Proudhon’s diaries (Carnets, ed. P. Haubtmann, Marcel Rivière, Paris 1960 to date) reveal that he had almost paranoid feelings of hatred against the Jews, common in Europe at the time. In 1847 he considered publishing an article against the Jewish race, which he said he “hated”. The proposed article would have “called for the expulsion of the Jews from France… The Jew is the enemy of the human race. This race must be sent back to Asia, or exterminated.”

They never change, these Libs, Social “scientists” with all their enlightened solutions and ideas for the ‘perfection’ of society. They’re Stan’s minions. They never will change.

From wiki:

The Negroes, according to Proudhon, were an inferior race, an example of the existence of inequality among the races of mankind… His book La Guerre et la paix, which appeared in 1861, was a hymn to war, intoned in a more passionate key than anything produced by the fascists of our time…Almost every page of La Guerre et la paix contains a glorification of war as an ideal and as an institution…His hysterical praise of war, like his ardent championship of the dictatorship of Louis Napoleon, like his unwavering support of the middle class, was an integral part of his social philosophy… In the powerful polemist of the mid-nineteenth century it is now possible to discern a harbinger of the great world evil of fascism. An irritating enigma to his own generation, his teachings misunderstood as anarchy by his disciples, Proudhon’s place in intellectual history is destined to have a new and greater importance. It will come with the re-evaluation of the nineteenth century, as the prelude to the world revolution that is now called the second World War.”

That is just not a clear assessment of Islamist thinking.

They will kill themselves, each other, destroy anything, all to kill Jews. They would be HAPPY to vaporize the Dome, which after all is only holy to them because they stole it from the Jews in the first place and made it holy to keep them from getting it BACK.

They’re happy to have their own capitol cities vaporized, millions of their own dead in the Israeli counterattack, just to wipe out Israel as a nation.

Today, its the real BHO who is still on the campaign trail but with a different attitude along with smugness and arrorgance. Eventually, we will be standing all by ourselves. You’re right when you say he’s trying to rid us of all our allies. Scarry situation we will soon be in.

@Kathryn Stuard
I couldn’t agree more. “Have you no shame?” Man, did he say a mouthful! The only problem is he used a word completely foreign to most of the “leaders” in the room…SHAME.

“Although shame is an emotion that is closely related to guilt, it is important to understand the differences. Shame can be defined as “a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety.”[3] Others have distinguished between the two by indicating that “We feel guilty for what we do. We feel shame for what we are.”[4] Shame is often a much stronger and more profound emotion than guilt. “Shame is when we feel disappointed about something inside of us, our basic nature.”[5] Both shame and guilt can have intensive implications for our perceptions of self and our behavior toward other people, particularly in situations of conflict.” by Phil Barker.

NO, THEY HAVE NO SHAME.

We are so screwed if we do not continue to rage on about everything this administration is doing to destroy our country.

I completely agree that Iran pose a treat to the region and the world in general. Idiots like Ahmadinejad should not be able to posses nuclear weapons. I also believe that president Obama, appears weak in the world of political arena. But I also think your assesment in general is wrong. If you are trying to rally your followers to chant…yeah!! go Kevin! go Kevin! you are succeding. How come non of them fail to see that Iran had these weapons even when Bush was in power? And you failed to report it. It didn’t start seven months ago. It was known all along. Don’t manipulate the fact for your political reasons.

You also said that liberals think “the world would suddenly love America, because we had elected an African” Are you questioning why they don’t love us even we have elected the lowest of low race on earth – THE NEGRO? Maybe this is beyond the color of skin as you would like it to be portrayed.

We have heard nothing but crisis from Obama and his team as they change our country right before our eyes. When his General reports a crisis how does Obama respond? Oh! I’m busy! He is taking his time and dragging his feet. Meanwhile our troops need more help. What do the family members of these service men and women think? I hope they will express their outrage. And oh yes, Obama and Mrs. O are taking off for Copenhagen to steal the games. He has time for a vacation of sorts and the country is falling into disaray because of him. All the pretense of bringing money to Chicago with the World Games. What about the crime there. Why not look at environmental factors for the games.

Fic….Bush needed to fight a 2 front war. He had no political capital to go after iran even though he should have – based on their assistance to the enemy in iraq. Additionally, all sanctions hadn’t been tried – nor will they be because of the weak-knee in the WH. Netanyahu(sp?) will settle this…probably within the year. When that happens, with any luck, the Iranis will toss out the nutjob and imamammamas.

The wild card here – and don’t fall of your chairs….may be France. They could be part of whatever Israel does.

DaSicilian says:

to solve the whole issue…remove our troops completely from the middleeast – drop 8 ‘turn the desert into glass’ bombs….one each on Riyadh, Beirut, Tehran, Kahbul, Damascus, Baghdad, the Afghan/Pakistan border and Mecca.

It would force us to drill for our own oil (and create American jobs)
We could help rebuild these cities (and create American jobs)
We could take some payment for rebuilding them, in oil (job neutral)
And we would have to build 8 new bombs (and create American jobs)

Oh and by the way….we do the same for NK and Jong Il.

Enough is enough…if they are trying to erase us and our allies, then we should show them we can do it up bigger and w/brighter lights.

Fic says:

@Marie-Jeanne
Read Kevin’s rant in its entierity (mainly the 9th paragraph) He is saying that, democrats think electing an AFRICAN man, who is black (because there are white Africans) somehow makes the world love us more. Obama’s reference to his origin, other than that to make him less of a capable leader, because he is a black man, what could it be? My point is that his falure is not attribuitable to his color of skin. But Kevin is just saying that. He finds it difficult to believe that some people in the world, including muslims still don’t like us after, I mean, after electing a black man. He is saying that we go this low and you still don’t like us!!!!!

He then argues that “…our move to become a third-world nation would placate those who find us exceptionalists” all this related to electing a black man seems to suggest that black man has not an ability to lead. I was magnifying his statements so that you can see his DESPISE for black people. Imagine hearing this same statement from a white person…electing African…becoming third world…how else do you interpret this? Then, towards the end he mentions former President Carter as “Defender of Lowly Negro Presidents” Assume you are in a conference where all participants are black. You get up and say ‘all these white presidents…..’ it wouldn’t be acceptable. So Marie-Jeanne, you get my point now? When I say they I meant the rest of the world including muslims.

Last 3 posts (Solo, DaSicilian, and jj solari), ROTFL – progressively harder.

Fic, I *did* read Kevin’s whole post. I just read it again, and I’ve concluded that you may not recognize sarcasm. Let’s go through it together, shall we?

“Liberals believed that electing Obama would bring world peace and harmony to all within the sound of his voice, and that the world would suddenly love America, because we had elected an African as our leader.”
This is total sarcasm. Throughout the campaign we heard about “Change you can believe in” – a masterful turn of phrase, since “change” can function both straight and as code – and how America was finally going to be color-blind, and how other nations (France, Germany, Kenya, implied others) were going gaga over candidate Obama (widely reported on NPR) – which obviously [sarcasm] means they’d love us if he got elected, etc. Now look at us: MLK is probably rolling over in his grave about how NON-color-blind we’ve become (but I digress), and it has suddenly become obvious that color and competence are unrelated. (Obama is no Condoleeza Rice.) So … all the hoopla (a.k.a. crap) we heard during the campaign about world opinion improving (why?) has not come to pass. Kevin’s just making fun.

“Perhaps they felt that our move to become a third-world nation would placate those who find us exceptionalists.”
(I cannot believe I have to point this out …) Again, sarcasm.

“One would think that the international terrorist leaders would stand down, and allow America’s biggest terrorists—Liberal Americans—to continue to destroy America from within.”
What kind of person do you image when you hear the phrase “Liberal Americans”? I see RICH WHITE PEOPLE. (Admittedly, I’m digressing again.)

“… Qhaddafi wants no part of anybody who resembles Ronald Reagan.”
Kevin is NOT referring to Reagan’s skin color, and we can see this in the next sentence:
“He [Qhaddafi] still has fond memories of Reagan sending a smart missile up his tailpipe.”

“… Jimmy “Defender of Lowly Negro Presidents” Carter.”
If you know anything about Kevin, you know this is sarcasm. Mr. Peanut was on tv just the other week making a fool of himself claiming that most of the people objecting to Obama’s ideas and policies are racist. Obama himself said it wasn’t true – even though both he and Jimmy have supported and continue to support policies that keep lowly people lowly.

Would I make exactly the same comments as Kevin’s? No. First, because we are different people – and secondly, because I am white, and I think that if they disagreed with my ideology, many others would choose to focus on what they perceived as the “racist” tone of my sarcasm. Why the h*** would Kevin disparage black people because of their skin color?!? I hate to speak for someone else, but Kevin constantly makes the point that content and color are not synonymous any more than are competence and color. (Think Jimmy Carter.) (Think Obama.) (Now think Clarence Thomas.) (Or Ronald Reagan.)

Kevin, I hope I’ve represented you fairly. If not, please feel free to argue!!!

Marie-Jeanne Cotner says:
September 30, 2009 at 6:18 pm

Just reread my comments and realized that the “even though” in my “If you know anything about Kevin” paragraph didn’t exactly fit. What I’m trying to say is that even Obama didn’t think Carter was right about the “racism” claim. However, many folks would say that both Carter and Obama’s policies are racist because they keep people down.

On a totally different note, I saw a hilarious video (in 2 parts) on YouTube today that reminded me of all the fun Kevin makes of “political correctness” in his book – e.g., having to go to sensitivity training for making a well-known joke about white dancing. This was made by James O’Keefe (the guy who just “stung” Acorn with “Hannah the Hooker”) and friends while he was an undergrad. Unbelievable. They go in with the most ridiculous schtick and are taken seriously by the college administrator.

@Marie-Jeanne
I get your point, but still doesn’t make it right. This is a trend that you see in the black community. They said Obama wasn’t black enough. I even heard Kevin say to Glenn Beck that people call him names (acting white, sell-out) something of this nature. When General Colin Powell decided to support Obama he was ‘degraded’ to a ‘black’ person supporting another black person. Not many-in the right- thought that might be an issue of liking Obama’s STUPID vision for the country. Colin Powell, who served under three presidents, a decorated war hero, who did a fine job selling the war in Iraq, ‘became’ another black person. He was no longer a champion of the right.
-By no means Kevin is a comedian. He is a smart man with SOME good ideas. And he is going to be a fresh voice for many black people. But he is doing the same thing as The Sharptons and Jacksons are doing: Exploiting his color. Just recently, Glenn Beck said that obama makes a better president than McCain ( however, I disagree). Imagine this coming from Dr. Condoleza Rice….she would turn into a ‘lowly negro woman’ …..into the world of people like Kevin. I hope you get my point.

You are exactly right when you say that they thought they would “love” America once we had someone who has no desire to save our country. Obama wants to make America another 3rd world country and/or much like Germany was during Hitler.

Great post and blog. Keep up the good work.

@Don
Oxford American dictionary defines Negro as the foolowing:
(n)A member of the black-skinned race of mankind. Negro adj. of this race, black-skinned. Negroid adj & n. -These words are considered offensive by many people, who prefer the word black.

actually fic, kevin’s pretty funny. i was listening to part of his radio show – radio is the thing with sound and no pictures, fic – and he’s pretty relaxed and pretty funny. being listenable on radio is PROBABLY the toughest job on earth. He ought to have you on and just put the mike in front of you and see how long you drone on before you freak and then triple freak. probly about ten seconds and then you’d need to be put in a rubber room for the terrified.

jj solari says:

fic, i am going to start calling negroes “quals-im-dwak.” There is not a negro alive who will find this offensive for at least three years. white people of course will find this offensive immediately. If you are white, i think it is swell that you are continuing the long tradition of white people deciding what black people will be offended by.

Don’t worry. The UN and our sissy president are going to make sure that Iranian Hitler knows his place. I’m sure Ahmadine-Jihad is shaking in his sandals. I have actually heard people say that if we have nukes then why can’t Iran? Sure. Imagine if Hitler had developed nuclear weapons before the end of WW2 or even before the start of WW2. Marie-Jeanne Cotner says:

No problem, Mick. And thank you for your service.

btw, Although this is irrelevant to the content of this discussion so far, Colin Powell is not really cheerleading for Obama any more. There are plenty of articles about this, e.g. the first one I found when I Googled: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jul/03/powell-airs-doubts-on-obama-agenda/
Also, you claim that “When General Colin Powell decided to support Obama he was ‘degraded’ to a ‘black’ person supporting another black person.” By whom? Most of the media was celebrating Gen. Powell’s endorsement, while conservatives were expressing disappointment that such a prominent, experienced man was coming out in favor of Mr. No-Experience Obama. Disappointment, not disgust.

What I really want to rant about, though, is words. A few years ago I was having a conversation with a second grader (a friend of one of our sons) – and we started talking about “swear words.” He assured me that he wasn’t going to use one, and then he said, “I don’t really understand why swear words are bad. I mean, they’re just words. How come we say some words are bad but all other words are okay? Like, how come ‘poop’ is not a swear, and the ‘s word’ is? I don’t get it.” (Yes, a second grader: a 6-year-old.) Outta the mouths of babes… I told the boy I actually agreed with him but that it’s often a good idea, especially for kids, not to use words in public that offend other people.

So let’s look at a few words that used to be “good” and are now pretty much like “swears” in many circles. Remember how people used to use the word “colored”? Then that wasn’t okay. Then they used “Negro” – but, as it says in the dictionary fic quoted, “These words are considered offensive by many people, who prefer the word black.” Then we used the word “black.” Then (brace yourself, Fic!) “black” was considered to be politically incorrect, and we moved to the term “people of color.” (Whoa! Doesn’t that sound pretty close to “colored”?) I don’t know even know (or care any more) what the politically correct word is now. It’s too confusing. A long time ago I asked my black hairdresser/friend what term she prefers, and she said, “I don’t care what people call me: I care about their attitude.” Right on! I really appreciated hearing that.

“Indian” used to be the good word for referring to this continent’s native peoples. Within the last 15 years they were referred to as such. Then “Indian” became unacceptable. So the word changed to “Native American.” Many people still use that term, even though it now offends others, who only find “American Indian” acceptable. Maybe there’s even a new term now. I used to bend over backwards trying to use the “acceptable” term. I don’t care any more.

“White” covers a lot of different groups, so does “yellow,” and so does “black.” Many people within each of those groups hate or have hated each other, historically (e.g., Serbians vs. Croatians, Chinese vs. Japanese, Ethiopians vs. Eritreans, etc.).

I could go on and on and on — going through words such as “handicapped,” “Oriental,” “fat,” “retarded.” On and on and on and on and on. Why don’t we start paying attention to content – or attitude? Kevin makes this point over and over and over and over …

@Mick-Thank you very much for your service to our country. Because of people like you we keep enjoying our freedom—and I call myself Fic

@Marie-Jeanne-This may not be the right forum to discuss this. But I will say it one more time. I have no problem which ever term is used to call black people:African-American, people of color, negro etc… The problem is when you mean it to degrade the person. You like it or not words can be more powerful than a sword. Why Obama is not simply a failed president Barack Hussein Obama and not a ‘LOWLY NEGRO president’? Words matter.

Do you mean to tell me that if one of your sons comes to you and says: Mom, ‘one of my lowly negro teacher’ or ‘one of my N ..teacher’ or ‘I am going to the movies with my B..’ you call the school principal to thank him for all he has taught your son at his school? Or would you show off your son’s ability to speak properly to your friends, or your church members? All I am saying is that if it is not ok for you (you said you are white) to call a black person the way Kevin does, it shouldn’t be ok to no one.
Some thugs and idiots like LudaCRISIS, 50 cent curse black people and women as a means of living. And people like Kevin who are smart, intelligent, articulate and who do not need a subtitle when they are on TV should refrain using these qualifiers when they refer to black people. You remember Don Imus’s comment right?….these girls went from black university students to whatever…..you might say Imus is white…and I say to you what Kevin is doing is what other people want him to do. What Kevin is doing is lowering the standard of other negros so that he maybe seen as a different breed…..You might ask why? The same way as The Sharptons and The Jacksons need to keep their ‘job’ by making blacks feel victim, and ponder to white guilt, he is trying to appease some whites so that he can get accepted. Is there any other better way to show that you belong?

I urge you to check Stan’s link about Colin Powell

Sean says:

Kevin:
You are right about the 17 yr. old analogy. I find this alot with academics. Obama just has that air about him, like a recent college grad. who just knows he is smarter than anyone. Ahmadinejad is playing the west for a fool on this one because he knows both the U.S. and Europe are just going to run their mouths. Leaders like Ahmadinejad only respect power and when they see this administration get their panties in a bunch over Beck, perceived racial slights, and other little “word games”, they kind of know how they are going to respond to REAL threats. Most of the leaders Obama is dealing with have been at it for awhile and can smell inexperience and ignorance like a bear smells salmon. For heaven’s sake, he’s building a secret 2nd nuclear facility? How the hell did you miss that one? Israel knew about it, but then again, they have a “real” leader.
Netanyahu and Putin are real leaders, regardless of what you think of their politics, race, and actions. You have to around awhile, to go through things, to get to this point. In every other profession, these points are a given. You aren’t just given the mantle in a big corporation without having experience and a track record of putting your money where you mouth is. You don’t even coach in the NFL without years of being in the trenches. But yet, somehow, these principles don’t apply to the most important position in the free world!
To all liberals, I am a prejudiced person and admit it. I am a meritocratist!! I have issues with incompetent people. As the saying goes, “It’s a qualification thing, you wouldn’t understand”

Kevin Jackson says:

@janelle and jj – I love when commenters “get me.” You and many others do, and that is why you are here. I try to stretch you guys as well, giving you what I hope is “art” in the context of the political realm. It ain’t Picasso, but it does inspire.

I do appreciate when you concentrate on the message, and don’t get side-tracked by what I can only deem as trolls. The message is key, and the enemy always tries to detract from it.

Curt B. says:
October 1, 2009 at 9:00 pm

Obama does strike one not unlike a recent college grad. who just knows he’s smarter than all of us. You have to wonder how long we have known they were building a 2nd reactor. It is increasingly looking like Netanyahu is going to have to go in and do something. Israel is not going to just sit there while Ahmadinejad goes through with his goal. Pundits make the observation that Ahmadinejad wouldn’t really bomb Israel. The problem with that is the presumpion that this guy is rational and objective, a pretty shaky one. We don’t have job for on-the-job training anymore, these things are too important. Netanyahu is a real leader(right on, Kevin) and you can damn sure bet he will not lay down on this one. His track record, unlike some leaders, is ACTION, not words.
It is becoming obvious Obama is just out of his element, but is getting defended furiously. What is more important? Obama, or the U.S.? These decisions have world ramifications which may or may not be felt for decades. In any other profession or position, experience and qualification is tantamount. The price of electing someone, based primarily on race, is starting to come due. Ahmadinejad, Putin, and other leaders with interest counter to the U.S. don’t have to pay homage to our issues and smell an inexperience, green leader and are positioning themselves to take full advantage of this. That’s what keeps me up at night.

jaceinaz says:

jj solari – I agree with you; Israel is the safest place in the world. I think that we in America tend NOT to give Israel its due credit. Those guys are hard..real hard. Israel is perfectly capable of defending themselves against Palestine, Iran and Syria (all at the same time if need be). If Iran really wants a fight, they’ll need all the nukes they can get their hands on – because however many missles they lob towards Israel – 10x as many will be returned their way.

If there is ever a WW3 it’ll be started by Israel defending itself…and it’d end real fast, too.

The left loonies represented by MSNBC and their parent NBC are racists. They consider any person who opposes BHO a racist. If any republican disagrees with BHO they will trash and trash him/her until its nauseating. The real racist is BHO himself. Its apparent he’s ashamed of his white half. How did he develop his street slang when he was reared in a white environment? And, part of those years in Hawaii. I’ve met many Hawaiian’s during my life and none of them spoke with a slang. In addition to being one of the most smug, arrogant, wannabe politicians our president is also a phony racist.

RE: FA’s request for a change in the posting format

Please don’t change a thing, except maybe requiring registration in order to post.

All the best blogs, IMHO, work just like this.

JUST LIKE THIS. Everyone comes into the one main “room” and discusses. Some people go off the topic. In a blog with commenting priveledges, when the owner only posts once every couple days, and when there are regular commenters, the thread will inevitably get long and will also inevitably turn into an Open Thread, since after 120 comments or so the topic has been discusses to death, or folks just decide that “shootin’ the sh**” 100 comments and 2 days after the post isn’t really that much of a Web faux pas.

Subdividing the place into folders of topical rooms, with further subdivision into separate threads is never a good idea, if that’s what you’re suggesting, FA.

Go to my favorite jumping-off point for bloggery, politicsofdestruction.com.
These are some of the best blogs online, and THIS STYLE of post-and-comments is the reason why. Almost, if not all of these blogs “roll like that.” Most folks know to stay on-topic who have familiarity with this style of blog, AND when it’s cool to stray from it. Such as, when a commenter posts a comment in response to the topic, and within the comment makes twenty or so untenable or downright ignorant statements that could be addressed by more knowlegable commenters. THIS STYLE OF BLOG WORKS.

Registration for commenters can be a good thing too, for a few reasons, but usually only when a blog gets a LOT of commenting traffic.

Iran should not arouse concern. Georgia is the most dangerous flashpoint in Russia’s tense relations with the West. The Bible says: “At the appointed time [the king of the north = Russia] will return back [will regain the influence, which it lost after the break-up of the Soviet Union] and come into the south [many indicate that this might be Georgia], but it will not be as the former [1921] or as the latter [2008]. For the dwellers of coastlands of Kittim [the West] will come against him, and he will be humbled, and will return.” (Daniel 11:29,30a) Then Iran will be humbled also. “But ships will come from the direction of Kittim, troubling Asshur [Russia] and troubling Eber [inhabiting on the other side the Euphrates].” (Numbers 24:24a, BBE)

At that time, peace will be taken from the earth and the “great sword” – nuclear sword – will be used. (Revelation 6:4) However, it will be neither the great tribulation nor “the end of the world” (Armageddon). As Jesus foretold, that will be “the beginning of birth pains”. (Mathew 24:7,8)

If the Heavens planned a full return of Russia (and much suggests this) the present economic crisis will deepen. Then also the European Union and NATO will not stands.

Ewiak – what the hell kind of name is that – If the Bible was talking about Russia it would have said Russia. If it was talking about Guam it would have said Guam. If the Bible is talking about something everyone who reads it either can’t make any sense out of it or else everyone comes up with a different explanation then it very likely the wrong generation reading it. Or else it just makes no sense. The Bible is not God. Making the Bible a deity is as idolatrous as making a statue of the Big Boy a deity. The Bible is a history book. When the Bible says “Jesus took the road to Capernaum” nobody says “This means Jesus took the road to Albuquerque.” Either everyone understands it or nobody understands it. And I have yet to meet anyone who understand the Apocalypse the same as anyone else. Now either St. John was a really bad writer – or the wrong people are reading it. When the right people are reading it it will make perfect sense. Trusting God to fix a situation we humans created is presumption. We’re here to obey God’s laws. He’s not here to obey ours.

I had also assumed that Kevin would want the comments to stick to the topic as the piece I quoted says. However, as jj repeatedly points out, this is Kevin’s blog. It is really up to him so if he hasn’t told everyone to stop, I guess that means he doesn’t mind.

Now, jj, I think you are clever and witty (albeit crude) but based on what you post here and on your blog, you are not a ‘born-again-Christian’ by the definition of those who coined and own the term ‘born-again-Christian’. You are a non-religious person who probably is pretty sure there is a higher being and has, i’m guessing recently, decided to take an interest in Christianity.

That was not meant to be insulting, but this last post is what crazy liberal anti-Christian folks love to grab onto and say, “See! These so called Christians are hypocrites!” “Listen to how crude and hateful they are!”
To be a Christian you don’t have to be perfect, but you do have to believe that EVERY word of the bible is, without a doubt, true.

As a Christian I take offense to you calling yourself such. As a human being, I find you funny as heck and very witty…..don’t stop posting!

@ Stan’s minion – Sorry, I haven’t been on the blog for a couple days. To your first point (you added other labels to my list), I strongly agree. Labels are shorthand, and I hate discussions that stick on them because they usually mask the content/ideas behind them. They work well in jokes, though, and as I think we probably both agree, as shorthand.
As for the link, I respect whatever your interpretation is – but, without knowing it, I’m guessing you and I are probably hearing Rush differently. I “hear” (see?) Rush Limbaugh pointing out that General Powell’s decision to endorse Obama was a ‘political’ one, as have been some of his other decisions. I don’t see Rush deriding anyone for their race.
It reminds me of a conversation I had with a Greek-American woman I do work for: when she heard that one of her black colleagues was voting for Obama, she said to me, “Well, I’d be kind of a hypocrite if I criticized. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I (and my parents) actually voted for Michael Dukakis when he ran for pres because he’s Greek.” I did *not* hear her saying that she or Mr. Dukakis were stupid because they were Greek – but rather, that she (and her parents) had acted stupidly in making a decision on the basis of shared ethnicity.

@Fic – Of course I would not be happy for any of my sons to refer to *anyone* as “lowly” anything. I would not be happy if anyone referred to them as “lowly” in any way. (I also don’t care for the word “Negro,” and I’m guessing – since our guys are 21st century kids – that they’ve never even thought of using that word.) We and our friends teach our sons respect for others, and I don’t think it crosses their mind to act otherwise. Again, I think you’re missing Kevin’s sarcasm.
