Letterman is an obnoxious punk.I wouldn’t be surprised if the person he got caught cheating with was Paul Shaefer…..don’t know if I spelled that correctly.

Roman Polanski only has to do a couple of months,right? Why is that so bad?

@ Paul – Look at the difference between the reaction on the right to all the cases you mentioned. People on the right are disgusted at those people and their hypocrisy. (I can’t tell you how many calls I heard on talk radio by folks complaining that Mark Sanford had let “us” down.) Now look at Letterman’s fans. The same crowd that’ll typically scream and yell about sexual harassment in the workplace etc. are busy contorting themselves to justify Letterman and make excuses for him. He has shown himself to be a disgusting, sexist scumbag – not to mention a hypocrite, for making fun of other guys who chose exactly the same behavior he did. Even Bill Clinton didn’t do *that*.

Letterman is fine; he never was the “Family Values” type. Yes, he probably cheated on his girlfriend now wife. But at least he does go around claiming he is Mr. “Family Values” like some of our politicians/ preachers (can you just see the grin on all “Fake News” reporters/ commentators and the Palin fringe). This has been a tough summer, for Dave, for our economy but at least he did not end up on the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Sanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).

@ Jim Badger – Agreed. Did anyone see the clip of Letterman “apologizing” to his audience and wife amidst a series of jokes? I thought the jokes were actually funny out of context, but given the situation — puh-leez!!

Letterman didn’t just dump on Sara Palin, he dumped on a baseball player and Sara’s daughter. This proves the man has lost decency. Don’t throw stones from inside your glass castle, Dave.
