 //  Poor John Mayer

Posted on Thursday, February 11th, 2010 by Kevin Jackson

Would it surprise any true Conservative to find out that yet another Liberal entertainer has revealed his racist views?  This is of course no surprise to anybody who follows my work, because you know that I put racism back where it belongs…on the Left!

Whether it’s Reid discussing light-skinned Negros, Biden commenting on the “cleanliness” of blacks, or Garofalo protecting lowly Negros in high places, the one common thread among Liberals is their ability to showcase their real racist feelings either directly or in some back-handed way.

The most recent racist Liberal on display is John Mayer, the chanteur who gave us “Waiting on the World to Change”.  Mayer did a recent interview where it is reported,

…he also likened his penis to a white supremacist, saying he doesn’t think he “opens himself” to black women.

I guess that answers the question of whether the “little head” has a brain, because as the article suggests, Mayer’s penis “doesn’t think…”  Surprise, neither does the “big head.”

Now I’m cool with preferences.  We all have them.  Some men like bigger woman, smaller women, curvy, big booties, flat booties, big boobies, A-cups and so on.

Preferences about color are no exception.  I understand a preference for women of Latin origin, as my preference in that way manifested itself into the first Mrs. Jackson.  And there are other ethnic preferences, all of which I understand.

That said, Mayer can prefer blonde hair, blue-eyed women.   That preference likely is based on Mayer’s  environment; how  or where he grew up.

Freud would likely argue Mayer is exercising his Oedipus Complex, and I certainly believe that little boys look for attributes of their moms in their mates, presuming Mayer’s mom is white?

Mayer is however, a well-traveled, bon vivant. Man about town. Though born in CT, Mayer studied music in Boston, then in 1997 moved to one of America’s most “chocolate” cities, that being Atlanta, GA.  Surely Mayer got exposure to black people in Atlanta?

Regardless of where Mayer has lived, by now most twenty-somethings have been exposed to enough of the world to realize that color is little more than a genetic trait, a descriptor.  People are people. Or should be. But apparently not for Mayer.

As fine as Jessica Simpson is, there are some sistas—a LOT in fact—who are certainly in her league, and a few are in a league of their own like Gabrielle Union, Halle Berry, Stacy Dash or Lisa Raye.     So for me, if Mayer says,“[sic] his penis doesn’t open himself to black women,” then he is either crazy or a bona fide racist.

Unlike Mayer, my “johnson” could be the Grand Dragon of the KKK, and it would gladly get jiggy with any of the aforementioned black beauties.  Frankly, Lisa Raye could have ALL my lunch money!

Then again, so could the very white Denise Richards…aka black man’s kryptonite!  She’s so fine, I bet you Van Jones would ask somebody to slap the black off him to get with her. For me, no such slap is necessary!

Here’s the wrap:

For Mayer to summarily dismiss all black women with respect to relationships is a racist attitude, and typical of the double standard of Liberals.  Ugly black women, dumb black women, black women with no heart, black women with bad attitudes and I would give him the benefit of the doubt.  However, Mayer made no such distinctions; just that his penis doesn’t “open himself” up to black women.

It’s ok if Mayer performs with blacks, hires blacks, acts like he is supportive of causes affecting blacks; however, he doesn’t think he could have sex with black women!

Ironically, sex is the least intimate of things he has likely done with blacks, that is if you believe the shrinks. It’s the emotional connection that Mayer should covet more, a connection he likely has made with many blacks.

However Mayer is so twisted that he believes that by denying black women sex, he is denying the best part of him. What a narcissist!

Mayer in this same interview tried to intellectualize the word “nigger” by using it, and ultimately said that he just needs to stop doing interviews.  That was his solution.

I suggest that Mayer stop “Waiting on the World to Change,” and perhaps begin changing himself.

That’s my rant!

Kevin, I guess ripping off black musicians (particularly vocalists) gives Mayer some kind of pass on his racist view? I’ve read bits of some interviews with this bore and the glibness of his words are nauseating. As I’m posting saw a clip of this guy giving an “emotional rant” about his interview at a concert last night. Very weird. He claims that “he’s out”. Wonder if we can get that in writing? What’s with these so-called celebreties and their leftist viewpoints, as if EVERY person who buys their product is a fellow traveler. Dude, the above picture, whew. Think I’ll save to my desktop!!!!

John Meyer wants people to “read the constitution”? He wants people to visit Ron Paul’s website? What a stinkin liberal, is what I’m trying to say. Kevin, you caught another one.

What’s the big deal? So what if he doesn’t like black women. I’m not egomanical enough to think that everyone should want to jump my bones–especially some guy who I’m not attracted to either.

Sheesh!

Thing is, though, why even mention it?

Michele says:

Man, how I wish Mayer, Reid, Chris Mathews, everyone could just put race aside and look at people as individuals. Hell, I grew up in the 70s and my mom was sure my generation was going to be the first to experience a truly colorblind society. Alright, my mom was hopeful but naive. I that see now. But I swear we kids didn’t give a crap about race until parents mentioned it, as in: “Oh you didn’t tell me your friend’s black. That’s wonderful,” after meeting a friend of mine for first time. I was just thinking, uh, what do I care. They’re fun to play with.

Anyway, all that race stuff aside, I just enjoyed reading what you find sexy in women. Kind of like I was eavesdropping on your thoughts.

PS Halle Berry’s way sexier than Jessica Simpson, in my opinion. Color has nothing to do with it.

Kevin Jackson says:
February 12, 2010 at 9:26 am

@baldilocks – Can you honestly say that there are NO black women that Mayer might like? THAT’S MY POINT!

Kevin Jackson says:
February 12, 2010 at 9:27 am

@Michele – I will gladly push race aside, as soon as THE LEFT does! You and I agree, I assure you…

Brian McKim says:

Kevin:

You say that “Mayer is so twisted that he believes that by denying black women sex, he is denying the best part of him. What a narcissist!”

Well, no matter who you are, you gotta admit that sex is pretty good.

And, while sex may not be the best part of a man he can offer a woman, in Mayer’s case, it just might be.

Have you actually read the lyrics to “Waiting on the World to Change?” Good God! It’s some of the most puerile dreck on the airwaves. So, it’s certainly not Mayer’s intellect that might be the best thing he’s got to offer.

And, thanks to the magic of television radio, live performance and CD’s and mp3′s, he’s already offering women– black, white, yellow, etc.– his musical talent.

So… his penis might be, to his way of thinking, the best thing he’s got to offer.

As for his being racist? I am not so sure.

As you hinted at, his preferences were probably cemented early on (although I am loath to cite Freud, as I think he’s just plain wrong about so many things). And those preferences are a funny thing. Mysterious.

And no amount of living in Atlanta could (or should) change them. It’s a very personal thing, this matter of what stirs the gonads. And it’s probably not at all based on anything conscious or based on intellect. Thus, it probably wouldn’t be changed by proximity to this or that group. And, conversely, his “lack of preference” for this category or that is probably not based on anything conscious– it’s… primal. And probably not arrived at by any conscious process.

Who doesn’t know a man who has a special thing for Asian gals. He just really digs ‘em. He can’t say why. He just does. He doesn’t have a low opinion of other types of women… he just has a special affection for Asian women.

Most men have preferences. Red hair? Skinny? Tall? None of the preferences are logical. (And, in most cases, the preference is not iron clad.)

But I don’t think these preferences signify anything other than a tiny quirk in the pleasure center. I disagree that “preference likely is based on Mayer’s environment; how or where he grew up.” I think these preferences are hard-wired and not a consequence of environment.

Having said that, I would agree with other that Mayer is not a very deep thinker. I would also say that, from what I’ve observed, he has a highly developed sense of humor. And he also lacks the ability to say “no” to an interview. And he also has an inability to foresee how his remarks will be perceived by the public. And he also has a lamentable preference for vaguely populist, kinda Markxist, wacky/progressive, mushy thinking.

For this, he is to be pitied. But racist? I think that’s a tough sell.

P.S. From what I’ve observed on various TV appearances, he’s actually quite good at the blues. (And I have never thought that the color of one’s skin precludes one from playing this or that style of music. I usta cringe when the music of Hall & Oates was described as “blue-eyed soul!” The capricious nature with which critics and the public confers some this sort of status on musical artists has always bugged me. Paul Simon is pilloried for “stealing the culture” of Africa for Graceland, yet David Byrne is a “cultural ambassador.” And what are we to make of Robert Palmer? He “ripped off” all kinds of cultures, but he had a “soulful voice and (an) eclectic mix of musical styles.” Go figure! For the record, I admire all three artists.)

Interesting read, though. Thanks!

Holy moses! Zo is posting at Kevin’s!

This is like when I accidentally got my chocolate bar in my peanut butter!

:)

You both rock, immensely.

Michele, I was reading at another blog ages ago, and someone was recounting their schooling. They all hung out together, very multi-racial, and then it was the school which, using many different tactics, put that programming into these kids mind, and they segregated in early elementary school.

Something about those “international days” where every kid brings in a bunch of materials and makes a display based upon his or her own genetic heritage, or, if they’re a white kid, they are assigned one of the more “non-American” nations or cultures to “represent” (you’re not supposed to be proud to be white and American, naturally). Ostensibly it was designed to foster respect for other cultures, but it wound up teaching the kids that everyone else is “them” and “others”. Looking back on my own experiences with this, it seems very surreal. I can’t imagine what their programming techniques are nowadays.

Taqiyyotomist says:
February 12, 2010 at 1:15 pm

As far as “race pride” goes, it’s all idiocy, in my opinion. How can one be proud of oneself for a quality that one did nothing whatsoever to achieve?

You can be proud of being one of the few to climb that mountain. Win that marathon. But nobody did anything to make oneself a particular genetic combination. With the possible exception of Jacko, nobody has ever “achieved” whiteness. Jacko is (was) the only person that I can think of who can rationally claim to be proud of his whiteness, since he achieved it himself.

Billybob didn’t. How are you gonna be proud? That you achieved an escape from the womb? I hate to tell them the trophy for that achievement is going to pretty small. Lotta people in that winners’ circle.

Same goes for “proud to be an American”. I’m quite THANKFUL that I was born here, but again, I didn’t do anything to get me here. The only people who can be proud of themselves for being Americans are those who, by their grit and determination, came here from elsewhere and BECAME Americans, and perhaps those who have had the choice whether to remain Americans and chose to do so.

kevin, you’re right that there’s no greater standard-bearer for liberalism than john meyer, and whatever he says is a direct reflection on liberalism as an ideology and liberals as a social group.

any thoughts on tom tancrado and his call for literacy tests? any racial implications there, you think? how might that reflect on conservatism and conservatives? are you worried that if there were literacy tests that you might not pass (i only ask, b/c i’ve read your writing).

Well, Well , Well…..Proudhon has returned with his scatterbrained comments.

Proudhon you must enjoy being in the minority through all facits of life because you definitely are a loner on this blog. The readers of this blog enjoy reading Kevin’s rants and its a shame you lack the intelligence to realize he hits the nail on the head with every rant.

By the way Proudhon it appears you have difficulty reading so before making another one of your imbicilic comments maybe you should take a refresher course in basic reading at the high school level and if that’s too difficult then drop down to middle school. Kevin is trying his best to educate people like yourself but he has difficulty at times because people like you are thick as a brick and not nearly as useful.

when a guy claims that there is an entire segment of the female population that he would not copulate with, he is lying. unless he is a homosexual. then he is telling the truth. guys will perform the breeding ceremony with a couch. I dont care how WHITE a dude claims to be even if he is sporting tattoos of a white supremacist bigot nazi aryan racist on his forehead and says for ten minutes over a loudspeaker that he won’t do a black chick… he actually will. As long as he thinks nobody will find out about it. not: a: problem: at: all: amigo. But i dont think mayer even knew what he was saying. musicians are not all that together ideologically. none of them make a lick of sense and i guess the record companies insist that they at least spout marxism when they talk just because it causes less furor than talking capitalism. so they do it. i have never known a musician who had any original ideas about anything. music and philosophy or even thought processes just dont go together. anyway i dont think he even knows what the hell he said. and if he really aint lyin that the instrument that is not his guitar does not open to black women – whatever that bizarrely-worded piece of information even means – then he likely has some other problem, not racism.

Oh Proudhon I probably make spelling mistakes in most comments I make. I acknowledged this a long time ago. You see Proudhon I don’t have full usage of my hands when I type. It eludes me,thisblog, how reading the constitution and visiting Ron Paul’s website would prove one to be a liberal.

All that aside,John Mayer is just the latest example of crazy,stupid,whacked-out celebrities who think the world should deeply care what they think about anything.

This is why these people supported President Hussein….I mean Obama.

They are all self-absorbed narcissists and should be completely ignored.

i think that’s the point, greg. he’s not. at best, mayer is a politically confused idiot. but here he’s treated like some liberal bellwether. kevin likes to pretend that the transgressions of this or that dopey celebrity provide some insight into merits (or lack thereof) of liberalism, while at the same time ignoring the overtly racist stuff that avowed conservatives say. so we have posts about tiger woods and john mayer, while he’s mum on tancredo and the birthers, etc.

I gotta admit i missed pud honey. I like his whole dynamic, this kind of fixation on Kevin, like KJ’s some kind of personal kind of cancer that just erupted on pud honey’s liver and it needs to be focused-on and targeted for excision, for some reason. The unwise would say oh, well, pud honey is a fixated stalker who wants to get up close and personal with KJ and, well, any one of a number of the usual insane conclusions you can safely draw regarding fixated-on-another types of people. but this aint what’s going on with pud honey. Me and pud honey both see what this blog actually is. It IS an erupting little cancer. It’s a cancer eating-away at a deception that has bewitched the fearful. It is a cancer that speaks and says “Don’t be afraid of these screaming hysterical frothing-with-threats phantoms. They dry up and blow away at the slightest breeze of truth. Fear is their weapon. Fearlessness is their Kryptonite. Faced with fearlessness these slithering lying monsters of witchcraft dissipate immediately into nothing.” Pud honey sees that this cancer of fearlessness is a major major threat to a lie. Without lies Satan has no power. Because, like pud honey, Satan’s an idiot. Satan is an idiot with a weapon of lies and fear.
Laughing at him crystalizes him and his spiritual lovers into powder on the wind. Pud honey – whoever the little sniveling anonymous little gob of spit is – sees this threat and needs to stomp it while it’s just a mole, a spot a little virus burrowing quickly towards the heart of a lie. Pud honey’s eyes and the eyes of his oily little centipede kin never close since Kevin Jackson showed up on the scene. They see Kevin for what he is: the one who sees THEM clearly. That’s why I like it here. I see the real fight and I’m in. Bring it.

Proudhon – Musicians, actors, media moguls, and just plain on media humps are ALL bellweathers of Liberalism. They ALL harbor that inner racist, and have become Guilters to placate their dark souls. You have Bill Maher who said, he will DATE black women, but would never marry one, and you want to point at Tancredo. I agree with Tancredo, if you’re too stupid to read, then you’re too stupid to vote…by the way, that is EXACTLY what you racist Libs did in the ’60′s. Julia says:
February 14, 2010 at 1:20 am

Mayer is a musician, and that means he is pretty stupid about things other than his guitar. Musicians practice hours and hours a day for years and years, and that behavior does not lead to knowledge about anything else. They should never be interviewed about anything other than music. Unfortunately they seem to have a lot of down time between gigs and tours, and this gets them into trouble. What with all the weed they smoke and the free time, and then they get interviewed, combined with the lack of life experience (other than practicing) and lack of education (other than music school or some touchy feely major) well, you get outrageous comments like the one he just said. I don’t know. It was so stupid that it just makes everyone feel sorry for John Mayer because he’s such an idiot. Black women I’m sure are more than happy to not have to sleep with John Mayer.

suzyq says:
February 14, 2010 at 12:41 pm

Love your website. The problem I see with Mayer and other Hollywood types, is that some people look to them as a source of what is right. After all, he did do the song “Waiting on the World to Change.” They get together in a studio and sing about various issues and appear to the public as citizens who care about the less fortunate. Maybe some do, but I would think that egos had a lot to do with the event. It really is his business who he would do and who he wouldn’t. He’s just so stupid to say it out loud and prove he’s an idiot. He also isn’t a good enough performer to look past something like this. No way anyone should give him their money, because that is his core issue. What can make me richer!

JJ SOLARI says:
February 14, 2010 at 1:42 pm

someone needs to write a thesis on why musicians, actors, writers singers, painters, and dancers are so vapidly stupid. There must be some circuit that gets severed when artists start practicing their trade. no wonder they are all libs. people are always saying “the republicans are not interested in the arts.” it could be that not being interested in the arts makes you smarter, more observant of the real world. however a lot of physicists and mathematicians play the saxaphone so it could be I’m missing something in this theory somewheres.

gh says:
February 14, 2010 at 2:01 pm

Artists, at least for me, live IN the music. Often Pisces, these dreamy types walk, dance, sing, paint, or anything else through life two feet off the ground. It means it’s a crazy world for the observer…but it is what is needed to affect the art well. And that’s so commendable of course. But, NOT, for governing!!!! That is what gets me…somehow, good in the arts doesn’t mean we worship every word they say! Ah, the power of the Muse! Isn’t there a German Legend of der Loreley?? The sounds of the sirens would lull the sailors into the rocks. We had also from here forward…take heed. Keep ranting, Kevin!

i’m also at a loss for what was “guilter” about mayer’s comment. or what it has to do with liberalism. as that youtube above demonstrates, the guy seems more conservative than anything. should we take what he said as some profound proof of conservatism’s racist failings?

and these comments about celebs not being fit to govern…do you forget which political constituency actually elects vapid celebrities into office? ronald reagan? arnold? sonny bono? fred thompson? even clint eastwood. last i checked those weren’t liberals.

I have heard this before and everytime I have found out that the person tried to talk to some female or male of a certain race and got a bad response from the female or male.

lol, “google it.” yeah, how would i ever get that reference w/out the use of google?

i’m not arguing “against liberalism in entertainment.” of course there are more liberals in the arts than there are conservatives. what i am arguing is 1) mayer, according to his own words, doesn’t seem to be one (something greg notes as well), and if you want to draw conclusions about political ideologies based on his statements (a dubious gesture, regardless) you should draw them about conservatism, or libertarianism, or whatever poorly thought out politics he seems to espouse. and 2) while people here want to argue that celebrities are not fit to govern, the only voting constituency i see willing to put them in office are conservatives (and, i guess, minnesotans across the political spectrum). i mean of the 7 or so entertainer-turned-pol that i can think of off of the top of my head, 5 are conservative and 1 is a libertarian.

and to remind you, i’m not a liberal and i’m not a dem.

If Mr. Mayer’s song was so terrific, how come I haven’t heard it? And, frankly, gentlemen, I’m not the least bit interested in his sexual preferences.
