A Green Berets “NO” is a Special Kind of “NO”

Two weeks ago I posted about a group of Green Berets who signed their names to a letter released to the media lobbying against any restrictions whatsoever to gun ownership.  Drafted by retired Army Special Forces Master Sgt. Jeff Hinton, and signed by 1,100 former and current Green Berets, here’s the link to the four-page powerful letter.  (http://images.military.com/pdf/second_ammendment.pdf)

The American flag does not wave because the wind moves past it. The American flag waves from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it.  A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to ‘The United States of America ‘ for an amount of ‘up to and including my life.’  THAT, my friends, is Honor … and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

I believe the libs, anti-American progressives, socialists, Marxists, Communists, and RINOs alike, fail to realize that almost all soldiers, both active duty and veterans, have a certain love for America, the kind of love that they would NOT think twice about dying for.  And if it comes down to “We the People” vs. “Them the Government,” I’m fairly certain how things will shake out, aren’t you?
