Billionaire Steve Wynn has words with Clooney over Obama

We have some good billionaires on our side, and Steve Wynn is one of them.

At an event where Clooney and Wynn were seated at the same table, the two had words about ObamaCare.

Obama? He MY man! – G. Clooney

I don’t wish ill-will on anybody, but part of me really wishes that Clooney were in a tight spot, and he were to get on his Iridium sat-phone to give “Barry” a call to get him out of a jam. How many times would that call go to voicemail, as Obama partied with Jay-Z?

We could ask the four Americans who died in Benghazi, but we already know the answer.

According to TMZ, Clooney started discussing the Affordable Care Act, causing Wynn to speak out against it.

Here’s how Clooney remembers the incident via an email sent through his publicist:

“He called the president an a**hole … that is a fact … I said the president was my longtime friend and then he said ‘your friend is an a**hole.’ … At that point I told Steve that HE was an a**hole and I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jackass.”

The actor also admitted that there were “quite a few more adjectives and adverbs used by both of us.” Wynn claims Clooney dropped an F-bomb before he left the table.

In response, Wynn told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Clooney “considers himself a close personal buddy of the president” when he’s drinking. He dismissed the incident as largely being fueled by too much alcohol, saying, “Clooney’s fun to be with when he’s sober. … If you have a chance to drink with him, you want to get there early, and don’t stay late.”

“Everybody who’s in my business, the casino business, knows to take actors with a grain of salt,” Wynn said, landing another not-so-subtle jab at Clooney. The incident apparently took place at Wynn’s Encore hotel.

However, Clooney argues his reaction had “nothing to do with politics and everything to do with character.”

Back to Wynn.

I love it when a guy who can buy and sell people like Clooney don’t fawn all over them, and hand them their asses. The Clooney’s of the world are so used to people just sucking up, they can’t take any criticism.
