So what, you start a business; it is NOT your business. The Democrats claim that your business is the government’s business, and they have sponsored a bill nicknamed the “Not my Boss’s Business Act.”
Democratic Sens. Patty Murray and Mark Udall introduced plans for legislation that they hope will restore the contraceptive coverage requirement under the ObamaCare.
And these morons were joined by fellow Democrats from both chambers of Congress and women’s rights groups who want Republicans to support this. Here is what Patty Murray had to say on why they are doing this.
“We are here to ensure that no CEO or corporation can come between people and their guaranteed access to healthcare…I hope Republicans will join us to revoke this court-issued license to discriminate and return the right of Americans to make their own decision about their own health care and their own bodies.”
You can see more of this lunacy in this video:
They say that not paying for a woman’s contraception is discrimination. I wonder what it was BEFORE there was contraception?
What’s happening here is Democrats are grasping at straws. They need something to counteract…Democrats!
We are often told about how the Tea Party is suffering, or how the Republicans are in turmoil. However the real turmoil is in the ranks of the Democrats, all of whom are running from Obama, and ObamaCare. They need a lifeline, and this is about as close as they will get.
Harry Reid intends to bring the bill to a Senate vote as soon as next week, adding that anyone who opposes the measure faces the risk of being “treated unfavorably come November with the elections.”
Get this. The Democrats are angry with the 3rd branch of government ruling against a stupid Liberal idea. So they have decided to look for a workaround. And here I thought the Supreme Court was supposed to be the wisest people in the land. No political agendas, but doing what’s best for the people.
The Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act mandates that employers cannot disrupt coverage for contraception or other health services that are guaranteed under federal law, aka ObamaCare. The bigger issue is that now that ObamaCare is required, what else will be required.
Companies should not be required to offer anything but an OPPORTUNITY! So you have to love the comment by Marcia D. Greenberger, co-president of the National Women’s Law Center:
“Bosses should stick to what they know best: the boardroom and the bottom line…Stay out of the bedroom and the exam room.”
Seriously! Bosses offered these BENEFITS in order to attract the best employees. Bosses are not in the business of providing contraception. If women believe this to be a key issue, then they should work only for companies who provide contraception, which by the way is NOT medicinal.
Nobody is asking the question of what contraception treats? Does it cure diabetes? Does it mitigate cancer. No, contraception is a luxury!
