The father of the mayor of Baltimore, Howard “Pete” Rawlings represented one of the districts directly affected by the riots for 30 years.
State Senator Kathy Pugh has represented the district as a City Councilwoman, State Delegate, and now State Senator for approximately 30 years.
Elijah Cummings has represented the district as a State Delegate and now Congressman for approximately 30 years.
Sitting to the right of Al Sharpton when he landed in his pimp mobile to meet with the mayor for a National Action Network event was Larry Young. Young was an intern to the late Parran Mitchell, when Young was 16 (he is now 66 year old).
At around 22 years of age, Young became a member of the House of Delegates, then State Senator, before being expelled for theft. He represented the district for approximately 35 years, and has been part of the leadership in Baltimore for almost 50 years.
Prior to Larry Young, both Senators for the District, namely Michael Mitchell and Clarence Mitchell III represented the District before being indicted and jailed.
After Larry Young, Clarence Mitchell IV was a State Senator before being indicted.
The esteemed mayor of Baltimore Stephanie Rawlings-Blake summed up the disease of liberalism after her peeps had destroyed their neighborhoods the night before:
“It’s a very delicate balancing act, because while we tried to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well.”
