Obama gets a two-fer. Not only does he punish a highly decorated Green Beret, but he reminds America that he is pro-Muslim as well.
Obama’s transformed military has punished Sergeant First Class Charles Martland for standing up for a child.
Martland shoved an Afghan police commander, Abdul Rahman, as the latter is the Muslim pig who raped a 12-year-old boy and then beat his mother.
Unlike Bowe Bergdahl, Sergeant First Class Charles Martland is highly respected. He is described by his comrades as the finest soldier they ever served with, so we can trust his judgment. The boy and his mother reported the incident to a U.S. army camp, and a medical examination confirmed he had been raped. When the Afghan commander Rahman learned they reported the crime to the U.S. Army, he beat the boy’s mother.
Hearing this, Sgt. Martland and his team leader, Daniel Quinn, confronted the creep. Rahman confessed and had the audacity to laugh at them. It was at this point Sgt. Martland shoved him.
The incident took place in September 2011. According a Fox News article:
“They were punished by the army at the time — but why exactly Martland is now being discharged is a matter of dispute. Army sources cited his accolades, including being named runner-up for 2014 Special Warfare Training Group Instructor of the Year from a pool of 400 senior leaders in Special Forces, in questioning the decision.”
In Obama’s military, protecting the innocent is a crime. Sgt. Martland should have been given a medal for what he did; instead the Army has ordered him to be involuntarily discharged no later than November 1st. And these aren’t isolated incidents.
According to an article in Breibert:
“We already had two other ALP (Afghan Local Police) commanders receive no punishment from the Afghan government for the rape of a 15-year-old girl and the honor killing of a commander’s 12-year-old daughter for kissing a boy,” continued Martland. “My Detachment Commander and I felt that morally we could no longer stand by and allow our ALP to commit atrocities.”
Sgt. Martland’s record is now blemished and his dreams of remaining in the elite Special Forces crushed by spineless bureaucrats, none of whom would be willing to put themselves in harm’s way as he has, nor do they possess the balls to accomplish a fraction of what he has.
Several Congressmen, led by California Representative Duncan Hines (R), are lobbying Defense Secretary Ashton Carter to intervene immediately on behalf of Sgt. Martland, as they should.
What an example to set for our troops and for the American people. When bureaucrats fail our troops and other heroes, we need an awards show for them. Hollywood celebrities and DC career politicians have award ceremonies for doing absolutely nothing. Sgt. Martland’s act deserves national attention. Imagine what giving him an award would do to help children of abuse.
And what about the child’s mother, who received a beating for attempting to protect her child? Where is the outrage from the women’s movement? I guess they are too busy planning cocktail parties and fundraisers for politicians to get women equal rights.
