Sins of the Father: Donald Trump, Racist?

It was bound to pick up sooner than later. “The Donald’s” daddy embroiled with Klansmen = The Donald is a bigot, too!

That’s what Liberals would like America to think.

2016 Presidential candidate and present GOP-front-runner Donald Trump had never been a favorite in the New York media, despite his socialite circles, real-estate deals, and not-too-few mentions of his personal affairs splashed in the press since the early ’80s.

Ah, the ’80s; that decade when libraries still had card catalogs, Google was how drunks pronounced “gargle,” and only three television networks existed. But I digress.

Trump is guilty by association, as from a post on, reporter Matt Blum has unearthed a 1927 news item about Trump’s late father, Frederick Trump Jr.:

According to a New York Times article published in June 1927, a man with the name and address of Donald Trump’s father was arraigned after Klan members attacked cops in Queens, N.Y.

In an article subtitled “Klan assails policeman,” Fred Trump is named in among those taken in during a late May “battle” in which “1,000 Klansmen and 100 policemen staged a free-for-all.” At least two officers were hurt during the event, after which the Klan’s activities were denounced by the city’s Police Commissioner, Joseph A. Warren.

“The Klan not only wore gowns, but had hoods over their faces almost completely hiding their identity,” Warren was quoted as saying in the article, which goes on to identify seven men “arrested in the near-riot of the parade.”

The article further details the other six men with a then 21-year-old Fred Trump–“The Donald” had not yet been born–and lists his home address. Source: you guessed it, kids, that Old Grey Lady herself, oft quoted as “All The News That’s Fit To Print:” The New York Times.

The very same Times intimates that the popular GOP front-runner is a racist because his dad was?

Do we really need to research fathers, when we can go to the source, like when Democrat icon Bill Clinton said to Sen. Ted Kennedy of Barack Obama,

[pp] “There was a time when he would be the guy getting our coffee.”

Further there are the behind-the-scenes berating Hillary, and others within the media-political corridor walls of Boston-NYC-DC-Chicago-LA gives about blacks, women, and other minorities? Or what of Harry Reid’s racist comments about Obama being acceptable to whites with his “no Negro dialect?” And who can forget the multiple Tourettes-like racist epithets spewed by Vice President Joe Biden, who believes there is a “black parts of my town.”

But the Old Gray Lady didn’t deem that news “fit enough to print.”

Attempting to tie Donald Trump to a racist past of his father should be beneath the Times. Nevertheless, their fear of what Trump brings to the political discourse has them cruising back in time in Doc Brown’s DeLorean to find an article eleven years shy of being a century old, that believe can taint The Donald?

If the Times wants to speak of sins of the father, does anybody even know who Bill Clinton’s father is? For that matter, should we investigate the fathers of all the candidates?

Ben Carson was raised by a single mother. Ted Cruz’s father was an alcoholic, and prolific womanizer, before turning to Christ. I think the problem may be for the Left: their men don’t grow up to be their own men.
