Alabama has shut down driver’s license offices around the state. And where they shut them down may be a problem.
In 8 of 10 areas affected, the blacks outnumber the whites.
It could be a simple matter of economics, but for one writer in Alabama.com’s opinion section, it’s about race.
Alabama might as well just send an invitation to the Justice Department. Come on in guys. Come on down.
No need to reply with an RSVP. Because we know you’ll be here. How could you resist?
Because Alabama just took a giant step backward.
Take a look at the 10 Alabama counties with the highest percentage of non-white registered voters. That’s Macon, Greene, Sumter, Lowndes, Bullock, Perry, Wilcox, Dallas, Hale, and Montgomery, according to the Alabama Secretary of State’s office. Alabama, thanks to its budgetary insanity and inanity, just opted to close driver license bureaus in eight of them. All but Dallas and Montgomery will be closed.
For some, just the mention of a Southern state is all it takes for somebody to dust off old Jim Crow. The guy has no information on why this decision was made, but it has to be racial.
Could it be that these offices generate the least amount of revenue? Or perhaps they have the fewest people showing up. Maybe black people in Alabama believe the Leftist hype that blacks are allowed to GET valid IDs?
What does the Left want?
The writer goes on to explain that Alabama is a state where driver licenses or special photo IDs are a requirement for voting, and to reinforce the race card.
It’s not just a civil rights violation. It is not just a public relations nightmare. It is not just an invitation for worldwide scorn and an alarm bell to the Justice Department. It is an affront to the very notion of justice in a nation where one man, one vote is as precious as oxygen. It is a slap in the face to all who believe the stuff we teach the kids about how all are created equal.
I wonder if the writer of this article has inquired of “white areas” of Alabama, where there were NEVER driver’s license bureaus? Let’s just make it simple, and put driver’s license offices directly IN all black neighborhoods. Would that make it easy enough.
Put them in Planned Parenthood offices, perhaps. And while we are accommodating black (Liberals), why don’t we just add the welfare office to the mix?
