The latest controversy in the lunatic world of political correctness now includes Halloween costumes; if you’re a white person in public service, you cannot dress up as a black celebrity.
A white Alabama elementary school teacher apologized for dressing up as Kanye West at a private Halloween party. His wife dressed up as Kim Kardashian.
The furor began when Heath Morrow and wife Shannon posted a Facebook photo of the two in their costumes. Heath was holding up a sign that said “Kanye for Prez 2020.” The photo was then shared on Reddit, where it went viral.
The Leftist media never wastes an opportunity to make such things a racist incident. The media likened the white man dressing up as a black celebrity to an early 20th century practice of wearing a “blackface,” which was demeaning to African Americans. As reported in The Huffington Post:
“The controversial costume element however, was Heath’s painted face, known as blackface — an early 20th-century practice that mimicked, demeaned and negatively stereotyped African Americans.
‘I didn’t know dressing up as a celebrity couple would cause so much controversy,’ Shannon told the NY Daily News. ‘There was no malicious intent in this costume. It’s for HALLOWEEN, the one time a year it is okay.’
‘Some of my husband’s best friends are black. There was no racial intent whatsoever,’ Shannon said.”
But this was self-inflicted hate, as the guy pre-emptively apologized. That’s right, he wasn’t outed by the media, he outed himself.
This leads me to believe what I’ve believed for some time, and that is these Leftist enablers are looking for publicity. That’s right, they seek the spotlight.
This Leftist puke planned this. Who cares that he dressed to look like Kanye who is noticeably black. His wife was Kim K, so what’s the beef. Did his wife stuff her butt to mimick Kim K’s, and then apologize? I doubt it.
I guess he should have gotten a Kanye mask? Would that have helped him feel less guilty. And would that mask have to be a white Kanye, or could he wear the black one.
And if it wasn’t enough for Morrow to issue an apology letter for his “error in judgement,” the school district where he worked panicked and superintendent Ed Nichols held a press conference and stated, as reported by WHNT News:
“’We are saddened as a district by the action of a member of our staff that have offended members of our community, and most of all, have taken away from the focus of our children and the good things that are going on in our school district and with our children,’ Nichols said.”
And Liberals wonder why we at The Black Sphere find them to be brain dead morons!
