Trump’s Charity Should be Noted

I’m not sure of this story, though it came to me from a fairly reliable source. Nevertheless, verify this for yourselves.

If it indeed did occur, then Donald Trump should be commended.

In a day when people are just talkers, I respect doers. Being a doer myself, I know that I appreciate people who put their efforts, be that money, time, energy, whatever into SOLVING PROBLEMS.

Far too many people just watch from the sidelines.

Below is what was sent to me:

We all remember when Marine Sargent, Andrew Tahmooressi was arrested and thrown in jail in Mexico for crossing the border legally carrying a handgun. Here is a true story about that Marine and Donald Trump. You be your own judge as to whether Donald Trump is a man with a good heart and a nice person.

Greta Van Susteren told her audience,

“In all seriousness, Donald did help out Sgt. Tahmooressi. He sent him some money to help him jump start his life. Sgt. Tahmooressi rotted in a Mexican prison for 214 days, whilePresident Obama wouldn’t even pick up the phone to help.”

A source told Top Right News that the “money” Trump sent Tahmoreesi was “very substantial,” and included paying all of the family’s legal bills and financial needs while he was held prisoner for nearly a year, and cash to get him back on his feet.

Kudos to Trump for this generosity and patriotism, and also for giving Greta great credit for her efforts.

Tahmooressi was released in November when a Mexican judge was finally convinced to do so on humanitarian grounds.  His lengthy prison stay became a farce and a failure under the Obama administration, culminating in a September congressional hearing that was “highly critical of Obama Administration efforts to secure his release and Mexico’s refusal to let him go.”

It’s good to see that at least Mr. Trump cared enough to lend a helping hand. When asked if he really did this, Mr. Trump said, “Yes, but I don’t talk about that.”

If Trump did this, I applaud him. If he didn’t make political hay out of it, I applaud him even more.
