The idea of Islam as peaceful is sold to our children in schools, when nothing can be further from the truth. This won’t stop the Left from Islam indoctrination.
You think these wackademia bureaucrats will show beheadings, honor killings by stoning, genital mutilation, rape and so on to the new generation of lemmings? How about that lesson in Islam indoctrination.
The Muslim Student Association at Vernon Hills High School last week hosted a “Walk a Mile in Her Hijab” event, where non-Muslim female students would work around the school wearing the traditional Muslim cover to better understand the Muslim faith.
They are selling Islam through couture. Is this what schools are supposed to do? How would the Left react if schools held Christian events?
As reported in The Daily Herald,
Vernon Hills High School senior Yasmeen Abdallah, who is a Muslim, carefully wrapped the traditional hijab around the head of junior Charli Mosley while she explained its purpose.
“You can’t really understand or judge a person and their beliefs until you understand why they do it and what it’s like for them to do what they’re doing,” explained Abdallah, who is the president of the school’s Muslim Student Association.
Then I suggest instead of wearing jihabs, they have these young people go live in the Middle East for the summer. Perhaps they will have a different take.
To understand a culture, you don’t have to live in it. Muslims don’t live in our culture. They follow all their doctrines and traditions wholly ignoring ours. They don’t respect our laws or our culture.
The bigger point is schools are not for this purpose. I don’t send my kids to school to learn “culture,” at least not any culture except American culture. America is a mosaic of cultures, and kids learn about them all the time. Gone are the days of three television channels and one radio station. Kids are inundated with cultural influences, all day, every day.
The time has come to end the Islam indoctrination that the Left wants to force on America. It’s not American, and it’s certainly not safe.
