Obama judicial appointee approves international internet takeover

internet takeover

The Democrats’ judicial tyranny has struck again, overruling the will of the people. A judicial appointee of President Barack Obama has struck down a Republican attempt to stop the internet takeover by an international coalition.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt and Nevada Attorney General Paul Laxalt filed suit on Wednesday night in an effort to stop the White House’s proposed transition of ICANN functions, which regulates domain names and addresses. The internet takeover was scheduled to begin Saturday.

However, the request to stop the transfer was denied by Judge George Hanks, a federal judge in the southern district court in Texas. He was appointed to the bench by President Barack Obama in 2015 and is the first African-American to serve in that position. Prior to his appointment, he was an appointee of Gov. Rick Perry to the Texas Court of Appeals.

RedState reports what happened when Judge Hanks considered their suit:

Earlier today, a federal judge struck down their efforts.

The complaint that was filed listed concerns with the potential security risks posed to domain names for the military (.mil) and the government (.gov).

The idea that control of domain names and website access could be put in the hands of nations that may not have the best record for human rights or freedom of speech should be troubling to everyone.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t received the kind of attention that it warrants, likely because of the circus this election season has become.

Senators Cruz and Thune had sought to include language to delay the hand over into the continuing resolution to fund the government, but to no avail.

Once again, democracy is overruled by President Obama’s judicial monarchy, and the internet takeover is underway.
