First Lady Melania showed grace that trumped the leftist women with their liberal agenda trashing D.C.
Melania Trump took the last glimmer of spotlight from Michelle Obama by simply being herself. She was the first one to jump up and give a standing ovation at the compelling rendition of How Great Thou Art, sang by Marlana Van Hoose. It’s already being said that Melania’s class echoes that of Jackie Kennedy, and one can easily see the comparison as Melania wiped the tears from her eyes.
VanHoose is a 20 year old singer who suffers from multiple disabilities. Among them- she is blind and has cerebral palsy. From the steps of the National Cathedral, she belted out the beautiful words of old.
Oh Lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds
Thy hands have made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout
The universe displayed
Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great thou art
Van Hoose was born with defects but has achieved fame as a singer. She created a stir at the Republican National Convention earlier this year, singing The Star-Spangled Banner.
The First Lady, POTUS, and the Trump family listened as they were gathered with Vice President Pence and his family for the National Prayer Service.
Meanwhile, a march was going on in the city. Women from the left were desperate to bring light to ___________________, well, no one knows exactly.
Twitter seemed divided between praises for the beautiful Melania setting such a fine example of grace and the images of women try to leave their mark.
Literally. Or shall we say litter-rally. I’ve never been more offended to be a woman. My mother taught me to always leave things nicer than I found them- the park, the lake, the woods. We picked up trash, we didn’t leave it.
Turns out this march wasn’t about Women’s rights or oppression. No one marched for the women of Saudi Arabia. In addition to remaining covered, they can’t drive and basically hold no rights. No one mentioned infanticide. It still goes on in China or India when a baby girl is born. No one chanted about the Congo. Those women are brutally raped and left to die. No big deal. Third world victims of rape, HIV, poverty, sex slavery, even child-sex-slavery- none of that seemed to be the topic. You could argue they were focused on issues here in the US, but then where are Bill Clinton’s victims of sexual assault? They weren’t in attendance either. Apparently they missed the memo about the March.
Women surveyed couldn’t agree on a unifying reason for the rally.
That’s because there wasn’t one particular reason for this so-called protest. It was Hillary’s victory March. She lost, they decided to throw one more hissy fit for the road. Why waste perfectly good permits?
Not one person was there in the spirit of hope or change. No one woman said “Trump please hear us” or “this is what we care about”. Instead it was man-hating at it’s finest.
They were sure to pick apart POTUS for his personal beliefs. Apparently store-bought tortillas is an offensive way to eat a taco.
Meanwhile, Trump and Melania listened to the prayers of a nation with utmost attention.
The service included readings and prayers from Protestant, Jewish, Sikh, Mormon, Buddhist, Roman Catholic, Baha’i, Episcopal, Hindu and Native American leaders.
“Oh Lord God, our heavenly father, whose glory is in all the world. we commend this nation to thy merciful care, that being guarded by thy providence, we may dwell secure in thy peace,” prayed Todd Christopherson, Quorum of the Twelve Apostles Mormon church.
“Grant to President Donald John Trump, president of the United States, and to all in your authority thy grace and favored, give them wisdom and strength to know and to do thy will,” he said.
Bishop Harry Jackson of Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Md., asked God to grant the Trump administration “wisdom and grace in the exercise of their duties.”
When it comes to grace, Melania scored her first big points while women’s liberal marchers did their best to set us all back a few decades!
