WIMP George Bush: Quiet on Obama But Bush Criticizes Trump
The media once again proves to be the opposition party working against President Trump. Now they’ve solicited an iconic conservative to carry their water for them.
Former President George W. Bush slammed President Trump on Monday for allegedly not wanting an independent press. The 41st president criticized several of Trump’s policies in a recent interview with the Today show.
Ironically, Bush steadfastly refused to critique Obama’s presidency, giving him as Bush put it, “room to lead.”
“I don’t think it does any good. It’s a hard job. He’s got plenty on his agenda. It’s difficult. A former president doesn’t need to make it any harder.” Repeatedly, Bush has stressed that it’s bad for the country “to have a former president undermine a current president.”
And yet, less than 2 months into the Trump presidency, George W. Bush undermines President Trump’s fight with fake news outlets.
Apparently, “remedial” presidency is over and Bush is free to criticize the man who wears “big boy” pants?
Or perhaps Bush was simply too chicken to criticize the black president, the very same black guy who “inherited [his] mess.”
Bush claims otherwise,
“I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy. We need an independent media to hold people like me to account. Power can be very addictive, and it can be corrosive.”
Yes, and we watched 8 years of corrosion, under the man Bush said nothing about. How many journalists did Obama prosecute, and Bush was so quiet you could hear a church mouse pee on cotton? As The Black Sphere chronicled recently, Obama prosecuted more journalists than all presidents COMBINED!
Yet, echoing the liberal media, Bush then compared President Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He claims neither want the media to be independent. Referring to his time in office dealing with the Russian leader, Bush stated:
“It’s kind of hard to tell others to have an independent free press if we’re not willing to have one ourselves,” Bush said.
The media twists Trump’s words to suit their own narrative almost daily. Now they have a conservative doing it for them. What’s it going to take for the media to quote the president in context? President Trump never said that the press was “the enemy of the American people.” He said fake news is the enemy. Constant misrepresentations are the enemy. Making up “news” out of thin air is the enemy. Until the fourth estate stops acting like an “opposition party”, the American people will not trust their reporting.
Immigration Restrictions
The 43rd president also took aim at President Trump’s travel order, restricting immigration from majority Muslim countries that are havens for terrorists.
“I understood right off the bat … that [the executive order] was an ideological conflict. I am for an immigration policy that is welcoming and upholds the law.”
So is President Trump. And he’s not doing much different than Obama did on immigration. This is about national security, not xenophobia or discrimination.
Bush is a RINO, all too willing to suddenly step in and denigrate Trump. His legacy is on the line as well, so why not attack. In the end Trump will win, proving both Bush and Obama to be the morons they are.
