How Single Mother Christina Knaack Spent Her Tax Return GOES VIRAL
Single mothers represent far too much of Americana these days.
Leftists have given a pass to “men” in shirking their responsibilities as fathers. It’s not all the men’s fault, as many try to be good fathers, but either the courts or feminists impede their participation.
Regardless, the outcomes can be horrendous. Single mothers struggle, as many “rob Peter to pay Paul.” So when this young single mother gets her tax return check, what she does shocked many.
As the UK Telegraph reports,

A surprise tax refund may tempt some to go on a spending spree, but a mother in the US has been applauded after revealing her more sensible plans.
Single mother-of-two Christina Knaack posted a photo of her $5,600 (£4,400) cheque on Facebook explaining she won’t be “buying [her] kids the latest Jordans [Nike trainers] or fancy electronics”.
Instead, the 29-year-old minimum wage worker from South Carolina revealed she would be spending it on paying her rent for the year.
“I got back $5600 on my taxes. Instead of buying my kids the latest Jordans or fancy electronics I paid my rent for the YEAR.
“I’m a single mum and I do it all by myself on a minimum wage job. I know that a roof over my [children] is what is important.
“My kids don’t want for anything because my priorities are straight. And this also means I will have that extra $450 a month to do things with my kids.”
I applaud her for doing the right thing.
This woman obviously receives “earned income credit,” which is essentially welfare for those who have low-paying jobs. The system was set up to help people like her, and in this case it obviously did.
Her story has received almost 500,000 Facebook interactions. As you might guess, most users praised her decision, with things like “You’re a great mother,” or “Glad you did the right thing,” and so on.
But as with all stories like this, they have detractors. One commenter wrote, “Congratulations for doing what you were supposed to do.”
Sure, as if single mothers have the latitude to pay thousands of dollars in advance?
I only wish President Trump could have negotiated that deal for her. He would have gotten her two extra month’s free, and part of her security deposit back.
