Black History Month is a farce for many reasons, however the month of February has now been set aside for black history. I find this demeaning, as blacks are not a footnote, where a month suffices to recognize blacks.
The month signifies “special” recognition, as a means to placate easily butt-hurt blacks stuck in the past. Frankly, the only reason we continue this “tradition” is race-pimps profit from it.
That said, I understand why President Trump heralded in Black History Month, where he met Wednesday with several prominent members of the black community.
During the campaign, the left tried to paint then candidate Trump with the racism brush. They happily associated him with the KKK and David Duke, knowing Trump has nothing to do with either.
When that didn’t work. The left enlisted the support of prominent black race pimps and other sellouts, e.g. Barack Obama, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and “Stoop” Dogg, to name a few. None of these people had ever thought of Donald Trump as racist, until white Democrat plantation owners unleashed these trained attack dogs.
But it is President Trump who will have the last word.
He began the meeting by addressing safety in the inner city, suggesting:
“We need safer communities, and we’re going to do that with law enforcement. We’re going to make it much better than it is right now.”
He went on to promise more jobs, better wages and better schools.
“We’re going to work very hard in the inner cities,” Trump said.
One of the race-baiting leftists in attendance, Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D – CA) was skeptical of the president’s rhetoric, calling it “lip service” to black people.
As if Lee and other members of the Congressional Black Circus have gotten anything more from leftist Democrats. What did Barack Obama do to curb violence in his own hometown, where last year there were 762 murders, mostly of blacks, and by other blacks?
Lee didn’t mention that, but she did call for the president to issue an apology to Rep. John Lewis, who Trump said last month was “all talk, no action” when it came to fixing the problems in black communities.
Since when should anybody apologize for telling the truth?
Thankfully President Trump didn’t invite the “usual suspects” when it comes to race-pimping, ergo Al Sharpton or representatives of the racist and black-demeaning NAACP.
President Trump did invite a new group of blacks who really are searching for solutions within the black community. One such person is Pastor Darrell Scott of the New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland.
Scott told the president that street-level blacks trust him. I can tell you from personal experience that many blacks living in drug-infested, gang-controlled areas hate Barack Obama and Democrats. But as Pastor Scott informed the president, they do trust him.
Scott went on to say to the president that several gang leaders in Chicago have made contact with him about “lowering that body count.”
“They respect you. They believe in what you’re doing,” Scott said.
Trump has twice tweeted about the level of violence in Chicago, and suggested last month that if Chicago can’t get a handle on its high rate of homicides, he would consider sending in federal law enforcement to try and curb the violence. At his meeting on Wednesday, he reiterated his goal of fixing the problems in The Windy City.
“We’re going to have to do something about Chicago,” Trump said. “What’s happening in Chicago should not be happening with this country.”
As we’ve learned with President Trump, he is a doer, not a talker. It’s only a matter of time before he addresses crime in Chicago, and you will see a safer Chicago because of his efforts.
