Who cares about the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysee, when Paris may soon have another distinction.
The city may soon be considered the Muslim terror capital of the world.
In what amounts to a tiny act of terror as far as Muslim terror attacks go, a machete-wielding Muslim menaced people at the Louvre
As Reuters reported:
A French soldier shot and wounded a man armed with a machete and carrying two bags on his back on Friday as he tried to enter the Paris Louvre museum in what the government said appeared to have been a terrorist attack.
The man shouted Allahu Akbar (God is greatest) and rushed at police and soldiers before being shot near the museum’s shopping mall, police said, adding a second person had also been detained after acting suspiciously.
A “lone wolf attacker” may certainly not seem like a big deal. After all, Paris has certainly had more marquee Muslim acts of terror.
First, Charlie Hebdo. Then the brutal November 2015 Paris attacks which were a series of coordinated terrorist attacks. In that attack three suicide bombers struck outside the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, during a football match. This was followed by several mass shootings, and a suicide bombing, at cafés and restaurants. Ultimately 130 people were killed.
Back to the Louvre and Paris Terror Attack
The latest Paris terror suspect, Salah Abdeslam planned to commit a suicide bombing during his terror spree. Authorities say that he backed out at the last minute.
According to reports, the attacker was alive but seriously wounded.
“The soldier fired five bullets,” Cadot said, describing how the man hurried threateningly toward the soldiers at around 10 a.m. (0900 GMT).
“It was an attack by a person … who represented a direct threat and whose actions suggested a terrorist context.”
Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said during a visit to Bayeux in Normandy: “It appears to be an attempted attack of a terrorist nature.”
You have to love Leftist apologist. The Muslim man yells “Allahu Akbar,” and the politically correct Frenchman says the attack “appears” to be of a “terrorist nature.”
