President Trump would be a disaster, we were told. Millions of “Chicken Littles” warned of doom, should Trump become president.
Then the impossible happened, and the worst fears of the Left were realized.
Donald Trump became president, and he’s actually COMPETENT!
Remember the poll numbers during the transition period, when we were told that after 50 percent of the country voted for then President-elect Trump, he was at 39 percent approval? We were reminded this was the lowest approval rating ever for a president entering the White House

Well there’s a new poll.
According to Politico and Morning Consult 49 percent of voters now approve of Trump’s presidency so far, while 41% disapprove. And President Trump has received this miraculous jump of 10 percent after being brutalized by the media at every turn.
Trump’s Job Approval
Politico’s poll surveyed 1,991 people online from Jan. 26 to Jan. 28 and stands in contrast to Gallup‘s poll, which shows Trump has 45% job approval and 48% disapproval. I guess it depends on who you ask.
These polls were taken before President Trump’s latest move, when on Tuesday night, he announced his nomination for the Supreme Court, Judge Neil Gorsuch.
“I promised the American people I would find the very best judge in the country for the Supreme Court. I am a man of my word,” Trump said from the White House. (The O’Reilly Factor, Fox News, January 31, 2017)
According to the Daily Caller, “Conservatives were thrilled” with Trump’s choice. Millions of voters said this was the single most important issue of the 2016 election. So who knows what the next poll numbers will reveal.
According to Fox News, over 80 percent of evangelicals voted for President Trump because they wanted a conservative to replace Justice Scalia on the Supreme Court. (Special Report with Bret Baier, Fox News, January 31, 2017)
Swamp Creature Hypocrisy
The Daily Caller also reported that Trump hopes his nominee will have bipartisan support. However, the kneejerk liberal outcry against Judge Gorsuch was loud and defiant, even before his name had been announced.
Fox News reported that American Bridge, the Democratic opposition research super PAC distributed a 75-page hit piece on Gorsuch minutes after Trump’s announcement. (Special Report with Bret Baier, Fox News, January 31, 2017)
Apparently Leftist did their homework, as Trump did release a list of judges last spring that he would consider for the Supreme Court. Despite getting bipartisan approval as a Federal judge, Leftists now issue their retractions since the stakes are now much higher.
Senate Minority Leader (‘Fake Tears’) Chuck Schumer (D-NY) declared that Democrats will filibuster Judge Gorsuch, reported USA Today. Then, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) gently reminded swamp Democrats that despite fundamental ideological differences, Republicans did not filibuster either of Obama’s SCOTUS picks (Sotomayor and Kagen). (Special Report with Bret Baier, Fox News, January 31, 2017)
Can’t We All Just Get Along?
These infuriated swamp lizards make bipartisan unlikely. Nevertheless, President Trump praised his pick.
“The qualifications of Judge Gorsuch are beyond dispute. His academics are as good as I have ever seen. I only hope that both Democrats and Republicans can come together, for once, for the good of the country.” (The O’Reilly Factor, Fox News, January 31, 2017)
Judge Gorsuch’s Senate confirmation hearings certainly will reveal the extent of the ideological divide in that legislative body. And that divide will determine whether Senator McConnell uses the nuclear option and changes senate rules to require only 51 senate votes to confirm President Trump’s nominee.
