Apparently Orange Coast College has been around since 1947, but no one knew who they were until they suspended a student for being Pro-Trump.
Now they will go down in history as the school conservatives crushed!
Late last year Caleb O’Neil decided to record his human sexuality professor, Olga Pere Stable-Cox, during one of her many anti-Trump rants. As a Republican student, O’Neil felt his political beliefs affected the grading by his teacher.
He wasn’t prepared for the video to go viral, but it did.
Then, just as the fire seemed to die down, Orange Coast College fanned the flames. O’Neil just received a letter suspending him from school, citing “violation of class syllabus” as the reason.
Apparently it’s wrong to record your teacher saying “Trump is a white supremacist” and “his election is an act of terrorism”. Weren’t those tiny tape recorders invented for college note-taking? The tape recorders parlayed into Smart phone memo apps, but still, the premise is the same. Record everything so you don’t miss anything. When did that change?
And for the record, had Cox said these things about Obama, she would have been fired on the spot . The student would have been given an award and invited to the White House.
In this case however, the college is focused on how the student violated Cox’s classroom policy. Further, are you wondering what on earth Trump’s election has to do with human sexuality?
Being educated by Leftist idiots is a complete waste of tuition!! How many parents appreciate paying for their kids to sit in this woman’s class?! Cox can’t separate sexuality from politics. It looks like the student has more sense than the teacher in this case. School officials want O’Neil to examine how his behavior negatively impacted the teacher. Meanwhile, I think many conservatives would ask the same regarding the professor. She is poisoning the minds of our young people!
As Peter VanVoorhis Reports:
Caleb O’Neil is being represented by Bill Becker, founder and President of FreedomX, a law firm that protects conservative and religious freedom of expression. O’Neil and Becker will appear together on Wednesday, February 15th at 1:00PM for a press conference at the school, and also plan to file a notice of appeal with the OCC.
In an email from FreedomX, Bill Becker declared the school’s actions “an attack by leftists in academia to protect the expressive rights of their radical instructors at the expense of the expressive rights of conservative students on campus.”
“He was in fear of retaliation by his instructor after she launched into a half-hour rant in which she labeled Trump a ‘white supremacist’ and told the class she would no longer tolerate any person who voted for Trump,” the email continued. “O’Neil videotaped the rant over concerns that his grade might be lowered for the class because of his outward show of support for Trump. He intended to use the video to present to the administration as evidence of his concerns.”
O’Neill and the College Republicans seem uncowed.
“OCC can’t continue its persecution of its students and their constitutional rights,” Recalde-Martinez stated. “We haven’t backed down yet, and we won’t back down now.”
O’Neil has seven days to file an appeal regarding his suspension.
That should be plenty of time for conservatives to send Orange Coast College a clear message. Bullying students who support the President of the United States isn’t tolerated. O’Neil doesn’t need to apologize for taping the rant, the professor needs to apologize for making the rant.
Let’s help this student CRUSH Orange Coast College!
