Trump Cheered in AZ Over New Immigration Guidelines
Despite what the lame-stream fake news media tells you, most Americans like it when politicians follow the law.
Arizona citizens made that clear, as they cheered Trump’s new immigration proposal. The president’s initial approach on immigration won them over. However, as President Trump showcased a few clarifications to his immigration policy, folks in Arizona cheered like rednecks at a tractor pull.
Alan Gomez of USA Today reports:
The Department of Homeland Security issued a sweeping set of orders Tuesday that implement President Trump’s plan to increase immigration enforcement, placing the vast majority of the nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants at risk of deportation.
The memos instruct all agents — including Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — to identify, capture and quickly deport every undocumented immigrant they encounter.
The memos require undocumented immigrants caught entering the country to be placed in detention until their cases are resolved, increase the ability of local police to help in immigration enforcement, call for the hiring of 10,000 more immigration agents and allow planning to begin on an expansion of the border wall between the United States and Mexico.
The memos make undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of a crime the highest priority for enforcement operations.
Leftists will find it difficult to argue against getting rid of heinous criminals.
Stories like Kathryn Steinle and the countless others loom large in the memories of far too many American citizens.
The key to immigration has been obvious all along. We needed to BEGIN addressing it. As Marco Rubio said during the campaign, for far too long politicians have kicked the can down the road on immigration.
Well, for the first time, somebody has taken the issue seriously. And it will pay off.
Aside from what I mentioned earlier about getting rid of illegal criminals first, an excellent way to implement the strategy.
There are other things that make this a smart move, well-timed.
Consider that President Trump delved immediately into the immigration issue and as well as refugee resettlement. As the cleanup continues, Americans will have time to get over all the Leftists nonsense surrounding these issues. By dirtying the water so to say, there will be time for the sediment to settle.
By then, President Trump will be touting job growth, rise in incomes, and many other ideas where he will have plenty of bragging rights.
Soon , more than Arizona will have something to cheer.
