BANDITOS STAYING HOME: Border Crossings Down 70%
The Trump Effect takes hold South of the Border.
Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration began when he announced for president and continued through his campaign. “We’re going to build that wall!”
Leftists cry racism, but big deal. America has plenty of Americans of Mexican heritage, and President Trump isn’t going after them. In fact, the only people marginalizing Americans of Mexican descent are Democrats.
But illegal Mexicans find solace no longer with their northern neighbor.
Trump’s efforts paid off.

The month of March saw a stunning 67% decrease in illegal U.S.-Mexico border crossings, according to former border commissioner David V. Aguilar.
What’s more, Trump’s results keep improving.
The March decline almost doubled from the 40% drop in illegal border crossings through February. These numbers demonstrate that President Trump’s policies make America safer.
Why the success?
President Trump freed up ICE agents to enforce federal immigration laws – a luxury they didn’t have under open-borders Obama. As a result of Trump’s immigration austerity, authorities arrested hundreds of criminal aliens and deported them.
Further, President Trump’s plans to erect a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border moved closer to reality with the bidding process opened. As with the Pamplona Running of the Bulls, illegals scatter to liberal safe spaces known as sanctuary cities. But not for long.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a crackdown on criminal illegal alien-harboring sanctuary cities. Word got out and deterred tens of thousands of potential criminal crossers.
Sessions credits the decrease in illegal border crossings to Trump’s strong, America-first leadership.
In an interview with Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly, the attorney general commended Trump’s move to eliminate sanctuary cities that shelter criminal illegals instead of protecting American citizens.
“This is a serious matter. The American people, by an 80% margin, think these sanctuary cities are wrong. It clearly makes their own cities less safe.”
As we previously reported, the Trump administration came out in force against the deliberate thwarting of federal law by more than 100 anti-American, Democrat-led jurisdictions across the United States.
While liberal leaders continue to ignore ICE detainer requests, stories break weekly of new crimes committed by serious criminal illegals, newly released onto America’s streets by the alt-Left. However, the Trump effect puts them on ICE.
Despite Democrat efforts to control Trump’s agenda, Sessions echoed Trump’s pro-America message:
“I think [that] a lot of these leaders need to hear from their constituents. You’re right, it’s not going to devastate their budgets, we don’t have that much money that will be controlled, but it is a signal [and] a refuting of their policies.”
And then there are jobs
As American manufacturers relocate back to the U.S., the good jobs will go to Americans. If an immigrant wants a job in the U.S., get in the legal line.
