YMCA BANS NETWORK NEWS at Facility Because of Leftists’ Fights

Obama’s Legacy: Leftists have lost their minds, when it comes to discussing politics. They lack common sense and most of all, civility.

If the Obama Era taught America anything, it’s that if you disagree with leftists, you’d better be ready for battle…seriously.

No TV Time for Liberal Toddlers

YMCA brawlAfter some near fights, the Greater Scranton YMCA will no longer broadcast the big three 24-hour news networks at its gym. Apparently, these gym goers refuse to use their words rather than their fists to resolve conflict. Political disagreements don’t end civilly here.

This mindset undermines the constitutional rights of everyone.

The news ban of CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC met with mixed reaction among exercise enthusiasts. The level and frequency of heated discussions at the YMCA convinced many that the change came just in time. ESPN and the Weather Channel now dominate the Scranton YMCA’s televisions.

People like Chris Wagner like the idea:

“We come here to get de-stressed and we’re totally stressed out in this country right now!”

He’s right. As Louis D. Brandeis, U.S. Supreme Court justice said,

It is the function of speech to free men from the bondage of irrational fears.”

Can’t we all just get along?

YMCA CEO Trish Fisher explained the news ban to members. Several incidents turned political discussions into menacing threats. One almost ended in a locker-room brawl.

There was one that was broken up by another member that was just about ready to go physical. And we’ve had members step forward saying they’ve felt a little uncomfortable about the arguments that were going on over the politics,” Fisher said.

The CEO clarified that member safety is her overriding concern. Turning off the news could tone down the rhetoric. One member thinks now that Trump’s in office, the threat of violence to free thinkers is over.

I think it is probably an over-reaction. There was a lot of arguing going on during the election, protesting and that type of thing but I think it’s all gone,” David Dimmick said.

Many would argue this point, as we documented a Trump-supporter beatdown recently, that came out of nowhere. And I assure you, there have been many others.

Another YMCA member agrees,

They’re all complaining that they think [YMCA] should keep it and stuff. But in my opinion, I think they should remove it because it will stop all the problems, people fighting. And that’s what the big problem is here,” Joshua Worobey said.

Fisher says so far most are happy with the ban.

Maybe the YMCA should offer an area where news can be viewed and they set up a boxing ring?

For now, at this YMCA the news ban is permanent. Well kind of. Once President Trump shows leftist America what real leadership looks like, leftists will like seeing him on television, as they lose their ideological religion.

Once the Russian conspiracy and other leftist nonsense ends, that nation will be back on the path to greatness.
