Revenge of the Nerds: WikiLeaks Julian Assange Dating a Hottie?
Pamela Anderson and Julian Assange? Talk about Revenge of the Nerds! You go, Julian!
Pamela Anderson is certainly no stranger to leaks—but her most recent relationship with Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange may bring more than just grainy footage of Tommy Lee’s tattoos.
In a lengthy commentary on the Baywatch bombshell’s blog posted Thursday night, Anderson comments on Assange’s intentions in exposing suggested misdoings of a “corrupt” system of power players:
“It is complex… and there are powerful people trying to control the outcome. . but..The only way to deal with the big bully on the playground – Is for someone brave to stand up to them.”

She continues in the tone of a subdued and serious revolutionary —an uncharacteristic image for those unaware of the buxom blonde’s recent foray into the realm of political activism.
“Make them realize they are just like everyone else, no matter how big they think they are, where they live, or economic status – and, show them that their usual controlling and abusive scare tactics don’t work. The more we know, the safer we are… There are no secrets anymore.”
While Anderson’s commentary is socially aware and in line with the sentiments of the Assange government-transparency vanguard, the vision of Anderson donning a Guy Fawkes mask taking to the streets may be a bit preemptive. Where is this sudden depth of purpose coming from? Perhaps it is less influence of Julian Assange, and more spurred by infatuation.
Anderson, who met Assange through activist/designer Vivienne Westwood, has been spotted visiting the Ecuadorian Embassy on multiple occasions—even bringing Assange a vegan lunch. She boldly claims on her blog:
“Julian Assange is the most intelligent, interesting, and informed man in existence. Yes- I think he’s quite sexy…Thank you to my hero’s at Wikileaks, and of course…I will always stand by my Julian…”
Though this swooning statement certainly speaks to a deep romance between the pair, Anderson has not publicly confirmed romantic involvement. In another post, Anderson articulates,
“I have had more stimulating conversation with this man than all my ex husbands and lovers combined. Our intentions were not to become romantic, but to join forces…The rumors are flattering. I think I might have what it takes to be an effective First Lady. If I had to chose a World Leader to stand beside and support whole heartedly it would be Julian Assange.”
Talking to Kid Rock and Tommy Lee isn’t exactly like hanging out with Willam F. Buckley, now is it.
In other words, “more stimulating conversations” than her exes represent a pretty low bar.
The word rumor does distance her from any formal claim of a romance. Moreover, Assange, the man of many admissions, fails to solidify the pair’s intentions as well, recently refusing to comment on the situation. Perhaps we will get the truth in a WikiLeak?
In this case, could silence be admission?
The pair certainly seems to by cozying up for a long season of global geopolitical chaos. It just goes to show—to all of you social revolutionaries studying political theory in a dimly-lit room somewhere—there’s hope to get the girl.
