Congressman Gowdy CLEANS Senator Schumer’s Clock
Delusional Democrats still think they call the shots in Congress.
In a show of arrogance and utter contempt for the democratic process, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) demanded recently that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) replace Rep. Devin Nuñes (R-CA) as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
“Without further ado, Speaker Ryan should replace Chairman Nuñes. If Speaker Ryan wants the House to have a credible investigation, he needs to replace Chairman Nuñes. Chairman Nuñes is falling down on the job and seems to be more interested in protecting the president than in seeking the truth. You cannot have the person in charge of an impartial investigation be partial to one side. It’s an inherent contradiction,” he added.
Always available for a congressional smackdown, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), appeared on The First 100 Days on Monday to reprimand the sanctimonious Democrat and serve up some much-needed perspective.
“I just love it when Senator Schumer gives Republicans advice on what we ought to do. Devin is doing exactly what the chairman ought to do. When you have a source who has information, you handle that information safely, securely, which is exactly what he did.”
Not backing down, Gowdy then called out Schumer for distracting America from the real issue: whether the data collected was actually authentic.
“I wish Senator Schumer and some of the other Democrats would be more interested in the authenticity and the reliability of the underlying data and not the means by which it was acquired. Whether it’s the White House or Waffle House, what difference does it make if the information is reliable and authentic?”
Viciously scolding liberals for propagating a false narrative once again, Gowdy continued:
“Keep in mind, Devin has also said this has nothing to do with Russia. And for those who missed it the first time he said it again, ‘nothing to do with Russia.’
So, if we’ve gotten to the point where the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee cannot go gather information related to our surveillance programs and cannot update the Commander-in-Chief on the nature of that information, we’re in a really strange place.”
When out of power, desperate liberals run around spewing orders as if it is their divine right. Last week, Schumer’s comments were less forceful, but still just as self-absorbed.
“I hope … he either comes to his senses or maybe Speaker Ryan replaces him,” Schumer said of the GOP chairman on CNN’s “Situation Room.”
Newsflash: Democrats cannot force Nuñes to step down.
Speaker Ryan supports Nuñes’ continued role in the Russia investigation. Yet, delusional liberals like whiny baby Schumer still behave as though they won the election and have some imaginary authority.
Nuñes knows how to do his job. Briefing Trump before speaking to committee Democrats did not break any laws. Liberals need to stop wasting the taxpayer’s time by making up faux issues to complain about.
