President Trump proves to be unpredictable.
So don’t think a Christian holy day would necessarily interfere with his plans to keep rogue nations guessing.
In what could be the United States’ version of the Tet Offensive, Donald Trump might “bomb the sh*t out of [insert rogue dictator here]” over the weekend.
It’s a distinct possibility. Who would have predicted that President Trump would bomb Syria?
On the heels of that, Trump sent warships in the direction of North Korea. This move rattled the Chinese enough for them to put 150,000 troops on their border. Further, they did this to keep the North Koreans from pulling a Mexican and making a run for the border.
Next, President Trump dropped the “mother of all bombs” in Afghanistan. I don’t think he gave much warning on that. Outcome? We are told that 36 bad guys died. I’m just guessing here, but I’d say ISIS enlistment has slowed in the past couple of months.
If only President Trump took off for the weekend to golf.
But our new president is a workaholic.
And he has an agenda. Make America Great Again. Oh, and let the world know that the POTUS resumes the role of being the “Leader of the Free World.”
One more thing for the terrorists and dictators. Know that America’s new president is also the “Leader of the WHOLE world,” Bitches!
A weekend showdown looms:
Retired Adm. James Stavridis, former commander of NATO and an NBC analyst said the following:
“Two things are coming together this weekend…One is the distinct possibility of a sixth North Korean nuclear weapons detonation and the other is an American carrier strike group, a great deal of firepower headed right at the Korean Peninsula.”
NBC reports,
The U.S. is prepared to launch a preemptive strike with conventional weapons against North Korea should officials become convinced that North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test, multiple senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
North Korea has warned that a “big event” is near, and U.S. officials say signs point to a nuclear test that could come as early as this weekend.
The intelligence officials told NBC News that the U.S. has positioned two destroyers capable of shooting Tomahawk cruise missiles in the region, one just 300 miles from the North Korean nuclear test site.
American heavy bombers are also positioned in Guam to attack North Korea should it be necessary, and earlier this week, the Pentagon announced that the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group was being diverted to the area.
NBC reports President Trump has been in conversations with Chinese president Xi twice since their meeting in Florida, and China has sent its top nuclear negotiators to North Korea to discuss the gravity of the situation.
Any preemptive strike by the U.S. would need to be made with the consent of South Korea, as it would be highly likely North Korea would respond with an attack on its southern neighbor.
I can only imagine what the military has shown President Trump in terms of our capabilities.
President Trump seems to be telling the world, look at some of the non-nuclear gadgets we have in our arsenal.
But aside from a potential “Easter surprise,” there is another reason the president may decide to strike North Korea.
One reason officials believe this weekend is particularly volatile is because it marks the anniversary of the birth of North Korea’s founder – Kim il-Sung, grandfather of the current despot, Kim Jong Un. NBC reports there are concerns he might mark “The Day of the Sun” with an underground nuclear test.
If Kim Jong-un plays chicken with Trump, he may find himself on the barbeque over the weekend.
