MUSLIMS Make Another ABSURD DEMAND of Taxpayers
It’s not enough that we’ve opened our borders and allowed Muslims to experience the best culture man has ever known.
Truthfully, Americans can never do enough for these people.
The reason is Leftism. Muslims no longer come to America thankful to have escaped oppression. They come now to get even. And they use entitlements to achieve their goals.
A Muslim student group at Luther College demands free rides to mosque twice a month. What’s more, the Mosque is out of state: the college is in Iowa, the mosque is in Minnesota
Campus Reform reported:
A group of “Concerned Students” at Luther College has issued demands for various social justice initiatives, including a free bi-monthly shuttle to take students to mosque.
In an open letter published by the Luther College Chips student newspaper last week, the obtrusively-named “Concerned Students of the Luther College Community Action Plans to Uphold the Luther College Mission Statement” outlines 19 actions that its members believe will “maximize the well-being of all students.”
The list, which is divided into four categories, includes many of the demands commonly made by students at other schools—such as gender-neutral restrooms, hiring “more faculty and staff of color,” and establishing “a comprehensive racial and ethnic awareness and inclusion curriculum”—but also features some unique additions.
“Establish and fund a bi-monthly shuttle service for students to visit the Masjed Abubakr Al-Siddiq in Rochester, MN, free of charge,” states one such request, referring to a mosque that is located an hour and a half away from campus.
“Create and enforce a comprehensive racial and ethnic awareness and inclusion curriculum throughout all campus departments and units,” another item on the list demands, adding that the mandatory curriculum “must be vetted, maintained, and overseen by a board which includes students, staff, and faculty of color.”
In today’s college environment where safe spaces and trigger warnings are requirements, I’m sure some students don’t find the Muslim’s request unreasonable.
But there is this irony.
The Motto for Luther College is “To God alone be the Glory and The Word of the Lord endures forever”. That’s right Abdul, Muslims attend a decidedly Christian school. Don’t try the flip side of this in Iraq or Saudi Arabia.
Free rides are not provided for any other church services. And not all students were supportive of the requests.
