The list of Muslim terrorist attacks worldwide grows longer each day.
Below are the three most notable attacks in France, but France has incurred dozens of attacks in the 21st century.
Charlie Hebdo
January 2015 Île-de-France attacks, a mass shooting at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo office in Paris carried out by Saïd and Chérif Kouachi. The men were identified as two Islamist gunmen who belonged to Al-Qaeda in Yemen.
In this attack, a third Islamist gunman and close friend of the Kouachi brothers, Amedy Coulibaly was responsible for two shootings. He also took a hostage at a Hypercacher kosher market. He informed authorities that he synchronized his attacks with the Kouachi brothers. Coulibaly had pledged allegiance to the ISIS.
In the end, 17 people were killed in this attack which at the time represented the largest loss of life in a 21st-century terror attack in France.
Next were the November 2015 Paris attacks.
This attack now represents the single deadliest terrorist attack in French history. Multiple shooting and grenade attacks occurred on a Friday night; among the locations targeted were a music venue, sports stadium and several bars and restaurants.
Ultimately, 90 persons were killed during a siege at an Eagles of Death Metal concert inside the Bataclan. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks, which President Hollande named the Paris attacks an “‘act of war'”. In total, 130 people lost their lives in this attack.
The next large Muslim terror attack occurred in Nice, France
A 19-ton cargo truck driver plowed deliberately into crowds celebrating Bastille Day.
Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, a Tunisian resident of France drove the truck and mowed down people on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The attack ended following an exchange of gunfire. The outcome: Thankfully, police shot and killed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel.
Sadly, over 400 people were injured during this attack, and 86 people killed.
Disturbingly, the number of Muslim attacks in France increases in frequency as well as the intensity.
In short, the world can no longer ignore the real threat of Muslim terror. France just got another friendly reminder from the religion of peace.
